Shhhhh....Polly is/was sleeping!!
Buenos tardes from playa Mojon!! A nice breeze here under the palapa, but it is still stinking hot today!!
Looks like some nube might move in and col it down...phew, as the oceano is pretty strong today and I think swimming is off the agenda.
Not much new to report today.
A long bed time...duh...and an early wake up...ugh. But Max was in a good mood for most of the morning so the shorter sleep did not seem to have an impact on him. Unlike my snoring which I think has.
Ask him what noise he does not like and he does his best impersonation of me snoring...he says it sounds like the bufadero!! Madre will take Max watch tonight as the snoring is usually related to me being pooped out, and after a stretch of early mornings, I think that is what has happened. Poppa is pooped!!
No videos until leche was done and that was at 645am. I was up at 715am..."Poppa, Poppa, your alarm is going off" and then we were onto tranquilo y desayunos time in the Palacio.
A good breakfast and then we geared up for our bici ride to the estancia infantile. We met madre there at 10am and Max wanted nothing to do with playing with the otro niños. All he wanted was to play on the trampolina or the plastic casas...doph.
The señorita working the counter told us that today there was a fiesta going on, Max had no interest in joining, but mañana at 11am all the niños will be coming outside to play on the casas etc, at 11am.
I was not in the mood to watch Max play on the casas by himself for an hour, so we decided mañana would be best...but Max was not happy leaving. He would not go play with the other niños, but did not want to leave the casas.
It took some convincing, but 2 minutos after getting the casco back on, he was a-ok.
Bex and I agree that 99% of parents leave their niños and say adios, leaving the school to take care of the crying niños. That is not for us, but we also realize that Max has got to join in with the other niños sooner or later. We are ok with the slower pace and our hope is that after playing with the niños on the casas etc, he will then want to join them in the play rooms. Stay tuned.
Bex headed out on her bici ride and The Boys wheeled around the zocalo, saying hola hola to a bunch of tourists who have come into town on the 2nd cruise ship of the season.
This one American couple loved Max and were very curious what his casco sign said, and then laughed when I translated it for them. Then we met a German lady and she wanted to know what she should go see, other then the muy famoso iglesia. Uhhhhh....in walking distance there really isn't much.
She decided to walk back to Santa Cruz...a good decision.
The Boys said hola hola to the gang at Gabriels, all hands on deck for the cruise ship business, and then we headed home for some leche and a change into swim gear.
Off to the CP alberca for lots of underwater adventuras and then a cannon ball fest for the lil'man.
Upstairs to finish the leche, have some libros at at 1145am, time to get scooped up by padre and work on the siesta.
Bex took over 10 minutos later and after another 15....lights out for the lil'man!!
Awake at 1pm'ish and right away we were into playa Mojon mode. Change Max, apply lotion, pack and get out the door asap.
A yak free trip to the playa and after some tuna fish sandwiches, and other goodies for Max, the familia headed to the playa for some play time. I did some more routine weeding and then had a dip in del mar, followed by a playa prowl with mi hijo.
4pm and the familia have headed down the dirt road with Max's carretilla...we are on the road again at 445pm.
All caught up, so onto the fotos!!
Señor Serio with his pre-tour poses.
Max giving our cleaner, Gwen, the ojos as she arrives for work.
Supervising Hector y Marcos as they work on a plumbing issue.
Max has grown up around these hombres and they always treat him well. We recognize that by always being friendly (some peeps don't even know their names), loaning them $$, giving them a bonus at Christmas, giving them any of Max's clothing that no longer fits him (for their niños...duh), and ensuring they get an invite to his fiesta so they can sit back and enjoy some free chelas.
One day Max will be able to explain to us why he makes these expressions.
Pit stop to check out a "bug".
It was a big cucaracha...ugh.
Hmmm...this llanta still needs aire.
Dude....
What was in those brownies?
Pit stop to say hola hola to Polly. I have no idea what caught Max's attention and made him smile.
The buses pick peeps up from their cruise ship in Santa Cruz, and then drop them off in front of the iglesia.
Max has leaned out.
Cannonball fest!!!
Belly slops!!
Mimicking a silly move he saw his Poppa do.
Frustration as Max tries to figure out how he is going to bring his bici back to the condo AND carry a hojo grande at the same time.
Don't worry, he figured it out.
Ok...siesta time. Hee hee hee.
Back at you post tina time.
Hasta pronto!!
Buenos noches!! This familia is pooped out tonight!!
We had a super fun time at playa Mojon, the familia even made t to Romans and had a jump into his alberca!!
We cleaned up and headed home...for more clean up. Cooked up a quick dinner and Max ate a huge plateful!! We are always happy when his appetite is large!!
Long day and a later dinner, so we paced our selves through the PM rutinas and we forgo the post cena prowl-tour.
We had an attempt at a FT con Oma y Opa...the picture quality was great and we could hear them perfectly...but they could not hear us. Doph!!
Into tina time, followed by leche y libros and the musica is about to start.
And that mis amigos, was another full day in Huatulco.
Mañana...another go at the estancia infantil. Stay tuned!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
