That has been our kind of day...up and down.

Buenos tardes!!

Another sunny afternoon here in Huatulco and I expect it to be that way all the way through until May 2015!!

Currently 330pm and I just came back from a short familia swim in the CP alberca. Bex joined in on Max's siesta and asked me to wake her up after 20 minutos...I did and she went back to sleep!!

I hit el gimnasio and before I went, I set the alarma on the iPad...good thing I did or who knows if the two of them will still have been sleeping when I returned!!

Coming home from el gimnasio, I stopped into Isssste for some garbonzo beans and I was asked why I have not been in recently to buy panales. The señora seemed quite excited for us that Max was pretty much down to wearing them only at noche. Small town.

In a few minutos the familia will return and then get geared up for a prowl around centro...I am told we need some more dulces for the piñata. Huh? Might be 20 plus niños coming!!

Dinner at 530pm...steak for the adultos and salmon for the lil'man. Not a big lunch so here's hoping he has a big dinner to go along with the big desayunos he ate earlier today.

As for the rest for the día? Bed time started off rocky..."I want Momma instead" when The Niño Whisperer went in to close the show. Good news is that I calmed him down and it only took an extra 10 minutos to have him lights out.

Maybe it was the niño Tylenol he received for the sore legs? Either way...lights out.

A 545am wake up and I took over at 7am.

Usual morning for us...with a little extra defiance thrown in. Max wanted a bagel, so we defrosted a bagel and when it was time to toast it, we needed to clean up a tornado of toys strewn around the Palacio.

But...after several requests and 20 minutos, it was not happening. I toasted the bagel and ate it...someone really wanted some and I promised him one mañana...if he listens to his Poppa and puts his jugetes away when he is asked.

Part of the issue is he needs to get out of the casa asap, but being awake at 545am does not help and we also need to have desayunos before we leave.

Any who...we loaded up the camioneta verde with the recycling and discovered that it was already 930am. Huh? Where die that morning go?

The plan was to be back at 1030am for a swim, but there was no way we could go to Fonatur, have a bici tour and also do our shopping at Soriana all before 1030am.

So we dropped off recycling, had a hot tour!! Under the baking sol, we went for a tour through some brush looking for a break water. Doph...we went the wrong way and were separated from the break water by a canal.

We retraced our steps, found the correct path and then off we went. Wide open spaces...great for some zoom zoom.

We had some shopping needs, so we pit stopped at Che, which was on the way home. Grabbed our goods and arrived home a little later then planned, but with enough time left on the clock for a quick familia swim in the CP alberca.

Upstairs for leche y libros and another short struggle for Poppa to get Max into siesta mode. But it happened, of course it did, and after a few minutos with me, Bex came in and closed the show....for Max and herself!!

And I think this is where we started the blog update.

So...onto the fotos.

This was my luck at 3rd floor landing fotos.

Off to see the sprinklers and here at least we get t see his face!!

I knew he loved the sprinklers, and I wanted more fotos, so I told Max that he could go back and touch them...he sprinted.

Off roading.

Poppa?

Hot.

Stinking hot!!

Success!!

We finally made it to our destination!!

On the way, we passed some pescadores, fishermen, and of course one said "hola hola Max".

From ayer, to set up your tienda, all you need are dos arboles.

From the zocalo, the altars for Día de los Muertos.

They add beverages that the deceased used to like to drink as well as a certain dead bread and cachuates tambien.

Always looking for more info on important días like these, I found THIS short article that has some new information.

Along with the altars, there is a protest of sorts going on in the kiosko.

This is in regards to the 43 student teachers that were abducted just north of the estado of Oaxaca, and are presumed dead.

According to the news, they were on their way to have a protest of their own, when the wife of the Mayor found out about it and did not want it to disrupt her own celebration she was having.

She told the Police Chief to take care of it and now the student teachers are gone. And now the Mayor, his wife and the Police Chief are all missing too.

Wacky Mexican BS...a lot of it tied into the narcos and the fact they own police forces as well as mayors.

Ok, some tranquilo time for Poppa before starting la cena.

Back at you post tina time.

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! Due to a pee pee 911, we were back early from our post cena prowl. No accident, but the lil'man sure danced his way home and then booted up the 2 flights of escaleras!!

The afternoon? Post swim the familia had a tour and then were home in time for some iPad apps and then onto la cena.

Happy to report that Max enjoyed his salmon, but seems to be off the poll right now. Huh?

Not as big a dinner as usual...that means full belly...time for business. Oh...no post tina business last night, but Max was doing his poo dance around the Palacio this morning at 545am. Oh Max!!

Post clean up, we were out for the prowl, grabbing some more loot for the piñata. This is going to be the fullest minion piñata that Huatulco has ever experienced!!

Home for the pee, tina time, business time and now it is leche y libros time. Home a little early...Bubba gets a few extra minutos before he has to go in and face rejection at bed time..."I want momma instead". Ja ja ja

Mañana? Off to Soriana!! Nothing else out of the norm planned. The big fiesta is on domingo and then it will be camarones para la cena and then I'll settle in to watch the PVR'd race!!

Buen fin de semana y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max

Correction....the cocodrilo was not caught in La Bocana, but just up the road in Tangolunda...where all the all-inclusive resorts are located!!

Let's start off with a Max Van 2-pack!!

Oh, he will be a heart breaker!!

Buenos tardes!! Currently 420pm and we are in the midst of another beautiful day here in Huatulco. El sol is shining, there is a small breeze and the humido is low. Yahoo!!

The familia is out at playa Santa Cruz...change of plans from Entrega. Max must have made an audible call.

They will be back at 530pm for day 2 of Bubba meatballs!! Max does not seem to enjoy them, so he gets a hamburger patty...keep it simple for the lil'man.

The día?

A good bed time, a good noche and a 6am wake up. Videos at 630am and The Boys were up for good at 715am. Wow...Max no longer likes to lounge with the iPad...Poppa is up, Max is up.

The usual morning for us...play time, desayunos and then two videos to keep the lil'man tranquilo as we get ready to go on our bici tour.

A warm morning but The Boys were out for an hour before returning home for a leche pit stop and then off to the CP alberca. Bex joined us after her bici ride, we had some fun and then The Boys hung around a little bit longer as we had some horsing around to do!!

Upstairs for the leche y libros and at 1130am Poppa swooped in and scooped up the defiant one. That only lasted a minuto and after 10 with me and 10 with madre...lights out.

Bex came in at 115pm to wake up Bubba, oh Bubba...hey, if you can grab a mano hodling siesta with the lil'man, take it!!

But lil'man woke up too...all good. Bex y Max had some video time, comida, some casa clean up and then off to the playa.

Me? Off to el gimnasio and then a prowl through the zocalo to take some fotos of the altars being set up for Día de los Muertos.

Off to the joyeria to say hola hola to Daniel and I learned something new. el primero de noviembre is Día de los Muertos for niños and 2 de noviembre is for adultos. Who knew?

430pm...just had a nice tremor!!

Post joyeria, home for some mopping, throw in a loa of wash and ta da...the update.

The zocalo fotos are coming mañana...but don't despair as there are a ton of fotos to come today. And as a matter of fact, here they are.

Sporting some new shorts, Max checks out a little tractor video before we headed out for our tour.

A must have...the 3rd floor landing pose. Heck, these poses have thier own Facebook page.

Don't ask me, I just take the fotos.

Some doph dee doe as we head to the camioneta verde to get the bici out of the back of it.

Off to the trabajadores building to give Marciano his invite to the fiesta.

Hola hola!!

Invite handed off, time to zoom zoom.

Admiring the letra "A" on the building next to ours.

Ojo ojo...road block.

While heading back to Poppa, there is time to give some peeps the once over.

Día de los Muertos os a huge celebration here and everyone needs the flores to decorate their altars.

We came around a corner, Max saw his grande rampa and you know the rest of the story.

He was picking up some good speed!!

The boca flew open in excitement?

Or terror?

Maybe it was the sight of the bache, pothole.

But he zoomed zoomed and made it straight to the rampa on the sidewalk...exactly as we had tried last time, with less success. Today? Score!!

Living with your front door over looking the canal, but still finding a place to dry your ropa.

Lil'man day dreaming.

Agua pit stop.

The "don't touch basura on the ground" lesson is a work in progress. Oh Max.

Joyeria pit stop.

Leche pit stop....sporting the new alberca gear.

Mi leche amigo, I must put you on the ledge so Poppa can take some fotos. Don't worry...I will be back for you muy pronto!!

Ok, off to get la cena ready to go.

Back at you post tina time.

Hasta pronto!!

Buenos noches!! Well, it was not Max's smallest dinner, but it came close. Not sure why, but there was no desire to eat much on his plato, even though there was a huge variety...burger, pollo, pasta, arroz, jitomate, peas y broccoli.

No dinner, no videos. So after every one was done eating, Max went into the cocina to work on some of his iPad apps and then after the casa was clean, we all headed out for a familia prowl.

And until we were just about to head home, all 3 of were walking. And then it became a "carry" for Max. Before we left, he mentioned a sore leg and then he ran most of the way...of course he did. And then as we headed home, he ran out of steam.

He has only two speeds....super fast and "carry me". Oh this will take some work on his padres part and we have already started by trying to slow him down whenever possible. Good luck with that.

Home for the tina rutina, leche y libros are now over and we are onto bed time. If I was a betting man, I would say it is safe to bet that Max will be asleep at 825pm.

Mañana? Soriana viernes!!

Have a great Halloween!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
