Buenos tardes from Señor Smiley himself!!

Hola hola!! Currently 430pm and I am just back from a fun familia swim in the CP alberca. The familia was headed to the playa post comida, but Max called an audible and wanted to stay local, thus the pool.

The fries go in the oven at 5pm...timed to be ready with the burgers at 530pm!! Bubba burger lunes!!

How was the rest of our día? Max was lights out at 826pm...darn that extra minuto!! We had a solid noche and no complaints about my snoring!! And happy to report that there were no sore leg issues on the lil'man tambien. Phew!!

Awake at 645am and onto the día we went. The usual rutinas of leche, videos and then tranquilo y desayunos time in the Palacio.

Today was day #1 of the estancia infantil and we had the belief that the niños played on their slides etc at 10am, so our plan was to go for a quick bici tour and then meet up with madre at 10am.

Off to the banco and then off to the estancia infantil we went. Max was excited about getting into the building, but it was not to see the niños, but to play on the slides and in the castles.

At 10am we went in and re-introduced Max to the muy amable señorita who seems to be in charge. There was even a maestra who spoke ingles and she held Max's mano and led him into the building.

And that lasted 20 seconds until Max came running out wanting his Momma. A quick chat and we sent him back in...for another 20 seconds. This time the tears were out and all he wanted to do was play on the trampolina.

We are trying to be as least disruptive as possible as we hear and see other niños and they are soon going to ask why is "that" niño doing this or that.

But the peeps are super friendly and they have seen this a thousand times. Niños leaving their padres for the first time...their response was poco a poco, little by little.

They let Max onto the trampolina and that lasted 2 minutos or so before he came running out crying again.

The pa,n had been for me to hang around the building in case I was needed, and for Bex to go for her bici ride, but she had strong maternal instincts and did not want to leave her crying hijo.

Again the friendly peeps came through and they let Max into the castle and slide area and he was allowed to play away. He was a-ok...muy feliz, so Bex went on her ride and I sat on a banco and watched the lil'man play away.

He could not always see me and to ensure I was still there, I kept hearing  "I love you Poppa" to which I replied and kept Max feeling secure.

We heard quite a few crying niños, some that had to be only 18 months old or so. We are blessed to be able to raise Max the way we have been doing it, as we have not had to leave him like that. We are not judging, just thankful.

The señorita came by regularly to see if Max wanted to join in, and a few times I had him peek in to see what the niños were doing, as he was curious about their singing. But there was no interest in joining them and just a while ago in the alberca, Bex asked Max if he wanted to go back to school and his answer was a firm "no".

But, we are headed back on miercoles and we will continue with this $20 peso/hour experiment until Max feels comfortable.

Post play, we loaded Max back up on his bici and pit stopped at Poopie Loopie before heading home for the leche y libros.

For the first time in a long time, siesta did not come easy for the lil'man, but he was out by 1225pm or so and awake again at 140pm.

He is a little crusty when he wakes up, but after some hanging from the escalera heading to the roof, he seemed to snap out of it.

Bex y Max went for a prowl and then came home for comida and at 5pm they are on their 2nd hour in the alberca!!

Post siesta I loaded up the camioneta verde and was off to el gimnasio. The neck is about 80%, but I had a good bici ride in the gym and then some light weights.

Off to Soriana as it has been stinking hot and we have run out of madre's bubbles and Bubbas Coca Light!!

Next up was the dulceria to buy Max's piñata. Oh oh...the Minion was sold. Doph. But I ordered a new one and they will make it and the señorita tells me it will be ready in 15 días. Stay tuned. I paid the $120 pesos up front and headed home.

Found a note from the familia, cleaned up the casa and then went down to join them.

And at 5pm, the fries are cooking and here are the fotos.

The poses.

Here comes madre!!

Max did not like going this way on the sidewalk, calling it the skinny way. Why did he not like going this way? He was afraid of this arbol falling on him.

Bex talked to him about it and when we go by, I give it a good shove so he knows it is safe. He tells me that he did not like going under the tree, due to the "ankle" it was on. Based on what I heard madre talk to him about, I am pretty sure he means "angle".

Coming up to the banco, we saw 1/2 a perro.

Hey guero, you talking about me?

Pre "school" excitement!!

All the schools here are behind bars.

Eyeing the trampolina.

These toys put the smile back on Max's face.

It is only a small rampa, but I love the determined look Max has on his face as he zooms down it.

We find "different" aka strange things here in Huatulco. Here, someone has fenced off their front yard.

Lil'man had a sore bum when we arrived back at the CP. So sore that carrying his bici was in order.

Ok, back at you post tina time. Don't forget MNF has the Hawks playing!!

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches!! Only 730pm but it is dark outside!! We don't seem to get the extremes when it comes to changing times for the sunset, but it is noticeable. I did a quick check and we turn back our clocks on Oct 26, one week ahead of when most of Canada does.

Ok, the end of the day? Bex y Max stayed into the pool until after 5pm. Wow!!

Upstairs for burgers and fries and while madre cleaned up the cocina, The Boys finished off Max's plate. And to keep him distracted, we told Poppa stories and I kept hearing "please, please tell me one more" and thus I did.

We made it through the axe in the foot story, the stitches in the forehead story, the cut ear on the ashtray story, the foot stuck in the tree story and the broken thumb story. Max starred at me like I was an alien.

Max having had sore legs earlier, the familia agreed on a post cena prowl vs tour and after clean up, off we went. Still hot, but a little less humido. Phew.

Home for tina time, leche y libros and I just heard the bed room door close...bed time is near!!

Mañana? Che martes and nothing else extra planned. We might go to Jessics to see if Max picks out a wood truck that he would like for his birthday. Stay tuned.

Oh...we also have a cita to meet with the bouncy castle hombre. Fun times!!

Have a great martes y hasta mañana.

PS...Feliz Cumpleaños to mi sobrina who turns 20 today!! Felicidades Kennedy!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
