It was a Señor Serio kind of morning.
Buenos tardes and welcome to another afternoon at playa Mojon!! Medio olas, a light breeze and overcast skies have made for the perfect afternoon. Throw in some salchichas and Max doing some standing on the surf board while in the olas...perfecto!!
Currently 420pm and yes, today Bex does know what time it is!! The familia is over on the headland rocks, chucking rocks into del mar. The plan is to leave at 5pm, be home by 530pm and be eating Bubba meatballs by 6pm!!
The día? We had a good bedtime and then a 1230am pee break, some manos at 430am and up for good at 6am. Waaaaaay better then 515am!!
Some leche and then tranquilo time until the iPad alarma went off at 630am and then onto the videos.
Out into the Palacio at 715am and we were in a slight shock to see Bex come strolling out. Yoga and a swim in the oceano for madre, so she has to be out the door before 8am.
Know what it is like if a niño comes out on Dec 25 and sees Santa Claus in the living room? Welcome to my morning once Max sees Bex. Come play, come play, come build Lego with me, come play with my cars....pleeeeeeeease.
But once Bex is out the door, the lil'man calms down and we were into the rest of our usual rutinas, play time, desayunos and some tractor videos. Max can now pick out the John Deere and the Massey Ferguson tractors...heck, he knows the video, all 10 minutos of it, off by heart.
Off for a bici tour...el banco, the panificadora to pick up some candles for the fiesta, Poopie Loopie for some pollo and then SCA for some huevos.
Home to drop and go...go to the CP alberca that is!! Familia swim and then some horsing around for The Boys before heading upstairs for leche and a snack.
No libros today as an amiga from Canada, Roseanne, dropped by with a shipment of Old Navy goods for Max y Bex. All the swim gear that goes on sale in August and September....we buy online, have it sent to Roseanne in Alberta and she brings it down for us. Score!!
Some great gear for Max and the prices and quality are waaaay better then what we can get in Huatulco.
1130am scoop for siesta..."I want Momma"...but Poppa took care of the first 10 minutos and Bex closed the show with the second 10.
A good siesta and I grabbed some shut eye too...we both woke up at 140pm...oh oh.
Bex had us packed up, so after shaking out the cob webs and getting geared up, off we went.
Some unpacking, set up the BBQ and cook up the dogs while Bex y Max hit the playa and madre surfs a few of the chico olas. She loves her surfboard!!
Lunch and then more surfing and we even managed to get Max onto the board and into the olas. Recently he has not liked the oceano at playa Mojon due to flashbacks of the olas grande that took his truck away, and almost took his familia away tambien!!
But we had lots of fun on the board and then The Boys huddled in the water as the olas broke around us...I think we made some progress in getting Max back into del mar!!
Argh...no sol...no heat...lots of lil'bugs flying around. Not hating, just stating!!
Ok, almost time to pack up. Onto the fotos.
Autumn time here in Huatulco. The hojos have changed color and fallen to the ground. The CP trabajadores have worked hard raking them up...all to Max's delight!!
Listo Poppa!!
No fotos on the 3rd floor landing because I was promised fotos with smiles once we were downstairs.
Ahhhhh.....no. Oh Max!!
Onto our tour and then we ran into Bex.
Oooops....and then we ran into Bex.
Look Poppa...I choque madre!!
A few more attempts at getting Max to smile, let alone look into the lens. Oh Max!!
Ok, time to pack up.
Back at you post tina time.
Hasta pronto!!
Buenos noches!! Go go go after we leave playa Mojon. No complaints, just the facts. Loaded up and ready to go at 510pm and after clean up and cooking, dinner was served shortly after 6pm.
Another healthy plateful for Max and right on schedule...into the tina at 7pm.
Tina time is wrapping up and I will clean up the baño and then while leche y libros are happening, I will see if we have any playa Mojon fotos for tonight.
Back soon...hasta pronto.
Getting in the surfing "zone".
Lil'man in some brand new surf gear.
Sometimes you just gotta bail on the olas grande.
Hasta pronto madre!!
Post surf rock climb.
Look madre, there are more rocks over there that you can go fetch so I can throw them into del mar.
The Max Van underhand toss.
Max "I feel like Mick Jagger" Van.
The "almost" sonrisa, smile.
A smile!!
And a pose tambien!!
Ask Max to give madre a kiss so you can take a foto of it...this is what you get. Oh Max!!
Misc
A few weeks ago, during rainy season, I took Max to La Bocana and we had some fun doing a playa prowl.
We walked all the way to la bocana, the river mouth, but found that it had changed locations and the area was more like a laguna.
Max walked close to the shore and I kept a very close eye on him, as the water looked like it might be hiding something suspicious.
When we returned home, I told Bex about the prowl and that I kept Max closer then normal, because the area looked like it might be a perfect spot for crocodiles. I know they have them here in Oaxaca as every now and then I read about them in the local periodico.
Well...look what was caught at La Bocana a few days ago.
Not sure exactly where at La Bocana, but this thing is HUGE!! That WAS my spidey sense tingling!!!
Ok, you are all caught up!!
Have a great jueves y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
