Buenos tardes. 610pm and
the sun has not yet set, thus no buenos noches yet.
Max is splashing in the
cocina, so I take this time to start the blog entry. We are thinking of
investing in a bigger tina for Max, as he is now touching both ends of the wash
tub.
Only issues…filling and
draining it!! Stay tuned.
My turn for the AM shift
and Max was awake at 630am. Madre fed him and is the best at “helping him”
start his business, so I kept sleeping until 7am.
And then we were up and at
em. Pit stop pañale change and then off we went for our walk. Proximo
vez…sombrilla as the sun is in a strange position at 8am and does not leave a
lot of shadow for me to keep Max protected from el sol.
We walked to Bugambilia,
but then instead of heading towards the zocalo, off to el gimnasio we went.
Fifteen or so to get there, but with all the stops to say “hola” as well as a
pit stop so Max can watch taxis and camionetas race by, the walk took 30.
Elder always likes to say
hola and when we got to el gimnasio, Galdino changed from a muscle brute to a
pussy cat who loved Max!!
Fotos from the walk
Sign outside a tienda.
Gifts for weddings, 15th birthdays (niñas become senoritas), baptism etc. Peluches are stuffed animals/toys...available in all sizes...todos los tamaños
815am...senor Betto.
He sleeps only 6 hours a day...works cleaning 5 pools and then 10 plus hours at the restaurante next to Gabriels.
Not a great way to start the day.
WFSITBOTT?
Colchones...mattresses
Carpinteros are back...but with only sillas?
Have ladder and tubo...will travel
Chorty cowboy.
Niña
Perro on roof...always barking. Is he crazy?
Uh yeah...here he is trying to catch his own tail.
Woof woof in español? Guau guau.
View from the alberca. We are losing more and more trees from the complex.
Headed home and grabbed
some platanos on the way. Max had a good 20 minute nap and just as we got to
the alberca to chill-lax, he woke up. He remained tranquilo for 15 more minutes
but then told me it was time to eat.
Upstairs to wake up madre
and feed the lil’machine!! Yes..I took a short siesta and then hit el gimnasio.
Baja de enerjia…no cardio
and only some weights. Doph. Headed out after 45 minutes and wandered towards
centro and said hola to the boys at Gabriels.
Everyone there is
good…Samuel is really working on his ingles. Business is so so and everyone was
commenting on how humido it was for a día de febrero, where normally it is
warm, but not humid.
Ayer we actually had a
high of 34,3 grados and a low of only 26,6…abril is just around the corner!!
One more thing to look
forward to at Mojon? With everything running off solar, we will not need to
think about how much we use the a/c!! Not an issue now…we have used it a few
times for an hour to cool down the room before Max goes to sleep. But come
abril y mayo, I recall using the a/c for hours on hours. Yikes.
Fotos from my afternoon
walk.
Take your siesta where you can.
Juniiiors does not have a tienda here, but does deliver for free. They sell muebles...furniture and appliances.
Common scene...niño y abuela.
At el gimnasio...Jhanhet and Hector. I finally got the goods as to why he is not working out...pulled some shoulder muscles and is on meds. Hopes to be back at el gimnasio proxima semana.
Just some birds.
I love this VW bug. It has been chopped so it is much shorter...sin back seats.
I think they are coming from the playa. Or headed to pick up a few more amigos!!
Oh there is $$ in Mexico. These are 3 nice BMWs. I was told by Lalo that the annual bike meet is happening this weekend.
We have heard about this, but not investigated. Costco from Acapulco delivers?
Hombre de globos at el zocalo.
Came home and it was
alberca time for the familia. Max had a blast…almost 30 minutes in the pool!!
One abuela said hola and made mention that she had been down last year and
hadn’t noticed Bex was pregnant…and said we must have busy!! Ja ja ja
Some other new peeps there
and they all admire the 15 week old niño in the alberca…and our job? To
convince them that Max is wearing “public pool approved” trunks….which he is.
But we do have a code word…thanks to Caddy Shack, the Oh Henry and Bill
Murray…”I like chocolate” means we need to leave the pool asap!! Ja ja ja
750pm update? Max is
asleep, I just woke up Bexico, and dinner should be ready in 10 minutes!! Lomo
cerdo. Hello!!
Hey…how does a cat say
meow in espanol? Miau. Who knew?
After the pool it was a
short nap for Max and Bexico went out and grabbed us some bollo (ohhhh so good)
and went to the telas to pick up our new sofa cushion cover.
New cover? Remember the
incident about 10 days ago? Max went bowel ballistic and we had to wash a seat
cover. Well…the cover fell apart and so we had to get a new one made. Around
6 m2 of fabric, a zipper and labour…less then $300 pesos. Mind you it did take
10 days and was ready 5 days after being promised!!
Cool seat cover…photos
mañana.
9pm update…la cena is
done, dishes are almost done and Bexico is headed upstairs to her oficina. Good
news? Two more offers to interview. Now we just need to find the time for her
to work!! lol
Our fin de semana plans?
Meeting with Roman mañana…hope for good FZ news. Of course I hope to hit el
gimnasio and on domingo…maybe un corte de cabello!!
Want some Max fotos?
Buen fin de semana!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
