Buenos noches. Canucks are
up 1-0 as we head into the third period. Thoughts on the Cory Hodgson trade?
Bex tells me Max had some
TnT (toss n’turn) sleep this morning from 430am until 630am. Yikes…and that
meant madre had bad zzzz’s too. Double yikes.
Bex y Max both got up at
630am and by the time sleepy head padre was up at 845am, they had already gone
for a walk to the lab…con poo poo!!
$335 pesos and we should
have the results by viernes, as we still need to drop off number 2 samples #2
and #3. Ja ja ja
Max hit the hay at 930am
and Bexico followed quickly after. Dropped off some basura and gave Marcelino
some ear plugs. They are doing some more jack hammering right next to where the
guy sits and at his age (60 plus I am guessing), who needs jack hammering 10
feet from where you work?
I also asked him for
another garrafon de agua and am pleased to announce that we now know the name of
the hombre who has been dropping off our agua with a smile. Amid is his
name…the hombre I sold the 3rd garrafon to for $35 pesos.
And who is the surfer with
the funky cabello? JD from PV. Works for me…I am Marco de Huatulco.
So at 10am, I have given
the condo a quick mop (mucha arena) and am listening to the clanging as the
camion de basura announces its arrival.
All good in paradise.
When Max awoke, we set up
the Mac and he had a great FT with mis padres. There is a possibility of them
coming down for a visit (hello…3rd time to Huatulco) and I just let
them know I would be so excited for them to take Max for a walk around town and
have all the locals come over and say hola to them and Max!!
As for the rest of the día…
Once everyone was awake (I
was 2 for 2 in having Max zzzz in his cuna!!), we all headed out to the joyeria.
Bex y Max were headed to pay the lab bill and I wanted to play a chiste on the
boys at Gabriels.
Only Daniel y hermano
there, but I pulled out a specimen container and told them we were headed to
the lab with poo poo. I unzipped the ziplock baggie and told them it was
gross. Then I took off the lid from the container and said it was bad smelling.
Then I stuck my finger in the peanut butter I had in the cup, stuck the finger
in my mouth and told them it tasted bad.
The boys did laugh…but I guess I
lost some of it in translation.
Then Samuel arrived, thanked
me for the Canadian Coca Cola I gave him as well as for the pair of Nike socks.
I started to tell him
about the container, pulled it out of the baggie and he ran to the curb and got
a little sick. Poco vomito…now that was a mal chiste…bad joke. Now the boys
really laughed. Poor Samuel…he had just eaten lunch.
And did Vicky run scared
when the container came out? Ja ja ja
We might save the
container and see if the lab techs have a sense of humor. Stay tuned. And yes…I
might have too much time on my hands.
Bexico off to lab but it
was cerrado, so off for a walk. Me? Off to el gimnasio where I somehow offended
Galdino and had to make sure we worked it out before I left.
Not sure what happened.
Might have been me helping out one of the members (Galdino did mention
something, but I thought he was talking about the member) or maybe it was when
I approached him on a way he could charge for some personal training, if he had
the right staff.
Either way, don’t want to
piss off an amigo, a huge steroid taking amigo at that.
When I left, I pointed to
him and then myself and asked
“todo bien?” and he said sí…so we will wait and see.
Home for pool time con
familia. Best day yet. Max LOVED the water and at one point was talking up such
a storm that people stopped to listen to him. And we also know he loves the
water because he has started splashing more and more.
I grabbed some sol while
Bex fended off all the abuelas and also chatted up Roseanne, the amiga who
brought us down the load of goodies from Alberta.
Then I came up, and off to
Che I went. Scores? Some salami that looks good and the last can (ugh) of
mushrooms entero (whole).
La cena…a beef stew type
of meal on papas puree. Mañana we are back to pechuga de pollo.
Back home and then I
latched Max on and we went to watch a few minutes of the partido de futbol at
the campo. It was a later game for Max and after only a few minutes he let me
know that he was hungry and tired.
So off we went to pay the
lab bill, and then headed home. Madre had his rutina all set up and it went
seamless and next thing you know…he was lights out.
Great dinner and currently
I update you all and Bexico is hard at work in the oficina.
Mañana…no sé. Waaaay to
early to plan the día!! Ja ja ja
Pero, Feliz Cumpleaños to all you born on a Leap Year!!
Fotos?
If you don’t want to see a
bunch of fotos of a very hermoso niño in his JJ, scroll down a few pages!!
True fact...he will lay on the change table in this pose.
Another Max fact...he has started making pucker (kissing) noises, but only with his top lip. Who knew?
And here are the JJ fotos.
Padre, can you speak up?
Everybody dance now...
Hmmmm...blue strap.
Toight...toight like a tiger.
Padre...hormigas!!
Now if I just bounce a little to the right, I can reach my teether.
Hmmm...leftovers!!
Am I not the cutest?
Did I mention I was cute?
Oma, these handprints are freaking me out.
And from the walk to el gimnasio.
Now this is how to cut down un arbol. Con machete!!
These guys need to form a union. I saw 4 different trucks setting up their muebles pino...on the same block!!
Selling periódicos...newpapers.
Strawberries...$1.20 Cdn for a kilo
Oh there is an obesity opportunity here. Niños eat lots of dulce, tortillas and drink tons of Coca Cola y Kool Aid types of bebidas. And...grab a pizza from the new restaurante next to Elder's.
I saw an hombre load up dos mesas (to sell) and walk away from this camion.
He was just a head of me, on the same route I was taking home.
Here is a better view of the baskets that the strawberries come in.
I came home for alberca time and found these two just chez lounging!!
From our walk to the campo de futbol.
2012 Nascar pace car...in Huatulco? Hello!!
These hombres were rolling up some hand made fabric.
Names with faces...they all work at Gabriel's.
This is Sergio talking to Carlos (#23). Note the green grass...there is none. Gabriel was Sergio's padre.
Carlos
Daniel
Moises
Guau guau
Don't get me started!!
Note the orange neon sign.
Hello!! Tlayudas!!
Hard working Beto y hijo.
Bono? Nope, the hombre de roasted chestnut.
Back home after the game and walk.
And guess who fell asleep in the sling?
Have a great martes.
Marco, Bexico y Max
