Hola all. 915pm here and settling in to watch the Canucks play and update the blog.

Not sure why, but we seem to have no trouble receiving all canals from the Shaw dish….and we did not change a thing. Huh?

But that is Shaw. Now Rogers on the other hand…I called, changed my plan to a pay as you go (keeps my #) and what do I receive today? A bill for Feb 9- Mar 9. Huh again? Mañana I will have to plug in the MJ and give them peeps a call. Stay tuned.

Great day. Long day, but great. Must remember that Max is only 14 weeks old and even though we planned the day around him, it was long and hard on him.

We left Huatulco at 945am and one hour later we were in Pochutla. Max had a short zzz on the way and after a pit stop at the Bodega, we went and parked near the mercado.

Gave him some leche and a panale change and then went for a walk. Sooo much to see and explore, but it was mucho calor (very hot) and crowded, so we spent 30 minutes or so and then back to the camioneta.

It makes us realize we made the correct decision on a GREAT offer from RJ y Rolly a few weeks ago. The offer was for a week at Disney in Florida, but with crazy flights from here to Orlando and then Max being so young, it just wasn’t the right time.

We will take him when he can handle a few more hours of activity, and when he can enjoy a day with Mickey.

Fotos from Pochutla.

The main drag in Pochutla, looking norte and then sud

Misc fotos

This hombre was selling aguacates (avocados) 5 for $10 pesos...less then a dollar. He was gone by the time we returned to the camioneta.

This is one entrance to the open market, held only on lunes.

Where's Max?

Mats y baskets.

Now I know where to go before proximo Fin de Año!! Hello fireworks!!

Orange lunes?

Fresh verdura

Chilies

Sandia. Hector, from el gimnasio, grows sandia on his rancho.

Entrance to the indoor mercado...we have not been there yet.

Loaded up and an hour or so later, we were in Puerto Escondido.

During the drive, we stopped after el Puente Cozoaltepec (bridge over the río Cozoaltepec) to take these fotos.

Fresh water flowing from the moñtana to del mar (the sea...as it is called here, even though it is the Pacific Ocean). Note the lush verde around the río and the brown in the hills.

Lots of tourists in PE as it is a surf town and is quite a bit larger then Huatulco.

We grabbed lunch first, at the same restaurante we have been to many times. Max was well behaved, but between Pochutla and getting home at 6pm, he seemed restless and there was a merry go round of being sleepy, but not sleeping, wanting to eat, but not eating, having to burp, but not burping. The one thing he had no problem with…hello dirty panales!! Ja ja ja

After our lunch, we loaded Max into the sling and went for a walk along the street and then onto the famous Playa Zicatela.

Click HERE to read more about this famous playa.

Here are the fotos from our beach walk.

The olas grande are in julio, agosto y septiembre.

In Pochutla, we saw a group of Marinas (always in uniform...camo) at the Bodega. They LOVED Max's gafas del sol.

Have sombrilla....will travel.

After the walk, off to Che. It is a much larger Che then in Huatulco and we scored large!! Note…the Che in Huatulco is rumored to be expanding. When? No sé…maybe in a few years.

Madre y Max stayed in the camioneta and had a snooze and Bubba was the Super Mandilón and did the shopping!! Ja ja ja

And what did we score on?

For Max…

From the market in Pochutla...where the hombre who sold it to us said Max looked 5 months old.

How much for the hat? How about $35 pesos...less then $3 Cdn

And from the Bodega...

Already used!!

NEVER too early to start the training. Not used yet...no fotos to come!! ja ja ja

Yes, that was un asiento entrenador (seat trainer), and if you read the label carefully, it states "reduce el peligo de caídas"...reduce the dangerous fall!!

As for the next item, it reminds me that I need to write a book about all the items you DO NOT need to buy when you have a niño (travel bassinet anyone?) but things you can never have too many of...like toallitas para bebé!!

For the new baker in the familia…we haven't seen most of these in Huatulco, or they haven't been available for quite a while.

Hello galleta de molasses!!

Yeast...hello fresh baked bread for the guests at Mojon.

Crispy Rice square domingo!!

I dig the garbanzos...first time I recall eating them was on a salad at Pags in Victoria BC...am I wrong Oma?

This stuff is like a paste. Needed to add agua y canela...yummy.

The other item in the foto is from a set of coasters and mats. They were a gift from mis padres...neat item made up of used newspaper.

And for Bubba…

That MUST be an American product!!

Managed to get home for 6pm bath time and Max hit the sack and fell asleep pooped.

Bex and I chowed down on some oh so good burgers and you are all caught up. I did manage a FT with mi hermano…always good to catch up.

Mañana? Gym to work off the buns I ate at lunch, the cookies I ate ayer and the Oreo cookie and crema pudding/jello I just finished. Oh Bubba!!

What else? Follow up with Roman as well as the dumb a**es at Roger. Sometime soon I need to study up the palabras for un corte de cabello…hair cut. Getting shaggy…Max keeps giving me dirty looks!! Lol

Oh yeah...Feliz El Día de San Valentín...don't forget!!

Blurb about February 14 in Mexico. (from inside-Mexico.com)

Nowadays in Mexico, as in the rest of the world, we celebrate on February 14 El Día de San Valentín (Valentine's Day)  popularly named El Día del Amor y la Amistad- the day of love and friendship.

Have a great martes.

Marco, Bexico y Max
