UPDATED

Hola y Buenos días.

925am and Max is laying next to me, sucking away on his manos and just enjoying life. Had a great walk…but that is today’s news.

Ayer?

Too pooped at end of the day, so had to postpone the post. But here it is.

Bexico had the AM shift, after having gone to bed early, she felt rested and took Max out for a stroll.

Most of our days really center around only a few things, with Max obviously being the priority. Ayer was no different as we took turns keeping him occupied, happy, clean, fed and rested.

We are fairly sure we are entering another chapter of his life…teething. He is wailing away on his teethers, drooling, talking up a storm and seems to be a bit (hee x4) less chillaxed. We notice that in the car when he used to love it and/or fall asleep, and now he needs some extra attention, which we have no problem supplying!!

Bex tells me I had a mistake in the blog a few days ago. Just in case…some clarica.

Hoy, today, Max is 15 weeks old. I think somewhere I said 13. So we are closing in on 4 meses!! Wow. After next week we will get Max (and ourselves) prepared for his 4 month cita de pediatra and his 4 month vacuna. How exciting.

Long and short of the day…el gimnasio and Mojon.

Had a great time at the gym, worked out with Fermin. We actually showed each other some exercises and had a good chat. As a taxista, his ingles is very good and he likes to use it with me.

Here is Fermin, typical Mexicano who smiles ALL the time…until the camera comes out.

And the rest of the around town fotos.

Darn Tamarindo!!

Hard working hombre shaving his newly purchased bloque de hielo.

A madre y dos niños, returning from escuela

Meow, meow, meow?

I often see this hombre riding his bici around town. He always has some items attached to the back of the bike, I think they are bed spreads and/or table clothes. Not sure if he is selling them?

Today he stopped in the parque and pulled out...

A papaya to eat for his comida.

After the gym, I bolted home and we headed to Mojon where we had a great time. A little windy, but that just meant no sombrilla for Max’s walk.

Best part of the Mojon day? Bexico brought her board and had a great time recalling how to surf and practicing how to get up on the board.

Not the best olas, but a good day to start. One BIG smile on her face!!

Mojon fotos.

Looking towards the western headland....low tide as well.

Bex y Max on their walk.

And two 1 year old perroitos. Here they are curious what is making the noises from inside the stroller.

And then they just lounged for a while.

We are fairly certain we know the story about the puppies. First off, the black one is the smaller hermano of the other puppy. And he takes some brotherly abuse, mainly a lot of nips on the butt, legs and ears.

We think we saw these puppies when they were almost new born. We had been driving down to the playa and saw these 3 or 4 puppies staring out from the brush. We stopped and took some fotos (I could not find them amongst the 11,000 that I have) and just as we were about to continue onto the playa, I saw a puppy "sleeping" on the side of the road.

Ugh. Well I pull out our small shovel and proceed to give the puppy a proper burial, when we are sure the brown puppy in the fotos above, gave us a few growls. I remember him looking sad and protective in regards to the sibling we were taking care of.

And that is the Mojon perroito story.

We hung out for several hours and Max was great. We hit the road around 430pm, picking up 2 locals walking back to the carretera. As the truck is full, they stand on the running boards and hang onto the roof rack.

Max was a little noisier on the way home, so Bex sat in the back with him and as he munched and sucked on her finger, he quieted down and actually fell asleep.

Copalita? Wave through on the way to Mojon…crusty soldier on the way back. We have no problem stopping and showing them our FM3, but come on…crack a smile and maybe offer an hola?

Stop at Che…hola to real leche!! Phew.

Home and the routine started with unpacking, a pool shower and then the 6pm portion…all dedicated to Max.

Good dinner…pollo can arroz…and then Bex hit the oficina and I watched some tube and read some on line periódico.

And that mis amigos, was our jueves.

saludos
