Hola all!! Almost 8pm and
Bexico is making me a pizza and Max is fassssst asleep!!
Good day all around, even
without going to el gimnasio.
I was actually dressed and
out the door, on my way to the gym and I realized it was a late start and
cancelled the day.
Instead, we had an early
start to Mojon.
But before we talk about
Mojon, here is the start of our day.
I seem to recall Bexico
bringing Max back to bed at 730am or so, and then waking up, opening one eye
and seeing him staring at me at 8am or so.
Great kid. No complaining,
just some cooing to let me know he was awake.
So up we go, letting madre
get some more well deserved zzz.
We hung out for a
while…me, Max and Pudge. Here are those fotos and some more of Max’s facial
expressions.
He was getting bored, so
we decided to go for a walk around centro, stopping a few times to say hola to
strangers, and then stopped at Gabriels.
Lalo was there…worse for
wear…as well as a gringo who owns some property at Mojon. We chatted it up and
then headed home to check up on madre.
Two fotos from our walk.
Tony's flower shop? Didn't Fonzie's nephew, Spike, want to open a flower shop? Heyyyyy.
Looooong story on why there are 2 condo buildings that look this way, while to the left are 10 that have been renovated and to the right, are 3 new buildings selling condos for $125k US. I don't think there are any in there now, but it has to do with squatters. Anyway...check out that old school Shaw dish in the roof!!
Came home and first things first…another
30 minutes of siesta time for the two of them!! Hello!!!
Time was ticking and I
made the call that Mojon con familia was more important, so off we went.
Great news? The clutch fan
worked fine the whole way to and from Mojon!! That means we can start planning
a road trip to Pochutla, Puerto Escondido and maybe Oaxaca o Acapulco.
No stopping at Copalita
and we spent 3 quality hours on the playa and under the palapa.
We met a senorita named
Kathleen who is from Vancouver, and also has a new casa built at Mojon. She is
still working in Van, but loves her new casa and seems to like the way we our
living our lives too!!
Here are today’s Mojon
fotos.
Time to get Max ready to go.
They DO have squatters rights in Mexico. This eye sore has been like this for a few years....right next to our property. Doph.
Today we saw smoke...and a new tenant?
We saw an hombre cleaning up the place and burning some waste, then he went for a boogie and came back, changed clothes and just walked away.
Another piso (floor) being added to the "hotel"...now in it's 4th year of construction.
Bexico taking Max for his first walk on the playa...and for his first dip into del mar.
The umbrella kept the lil'hombre from getting burnt...didn't save him from the olas...waves. He liked the water lapping his feet until the big wave came...not too excited about that.
One boogie board, one hamaca, one monkey and Max.
We think the color of his ojos may be changing, but his cabello is still ginger!!
Headed home around 4pm…pit
stop at Che and ta-da…found some real milk!!
Once home, it is all about
unpacking and getting Max set up for his 6pm routine. The routine was
successful…it is 830pm and the pizza was great and you are caught up.
Mañana…the dessert maker Bexico
is going to bake some macaroons and Max and I are going to watch 30 minutes of
his first Super Bowl at Pucks before we return home, watch the rest of the game
and enjoy hamburguesa domingo!
Hope you are having a
great fin de semana.
Marco, Bex y Max
