Hola hola!!
A great day and we had a nice long
afternoon at Mojon!!
Normal AM rutina…Max is testing his
limits when it comes to eating desayunos. But we are getting him enough to eat
and he had no problem running around the zocalo during the AM walk!!
Great siesta and then off to Mojon.
After Mojon it was already time for la cena so I got that going while madre did
a verdura run con the lil’man.
Good dinner, easy tina time, a FT con
Oma y Opa and the lil’man was lights out after 30 minutes!! Phew.
Currently 830pm and all is well…other
then the load of colored wash that I accidentally tossed some bleach into. Only 5
or 6 items are now spotted. Argh.
Fotos galore.
From the AM walk.
Max is still working on "no tocar"!! This is in Gabriel the Owls jewellery store.
Yes, the polisher was unplugged!!
And at the info booth in the zocalo, Max always wants to check out the posters. Masage Max?
Ah, sure thing padre!!
Hmmmm...boobies!!
We are at the Papeleria, stationary store, and Max has forgotten that his bandera is in my pocket.
Ah ah.
And from our día at Mojon.
Blue skies, deserted playa, and some high tides!!
I am not sure who has more fun on the playa...Bex o Max?
Max LOVES to pour water...into his bucket, out of his bucket...out of his tina!! Oh Max!!
Doph....out of agua. But not for long!!
Here it comes!!
Max doesn't seem too fazed by the rising tide.
These next fotos are misc from ayer.
Supporters of a politician making themselves heard and seen.
I came upon this hombre selling a mix of electronic appliances. Fans, blenders and the such. Tough gig in this heat.
Semana Santa is long over the turismo buses are getting cleaned for their return trip to DF.
I had never seen someone set up a scale to weigh their sandia before they sold it. I liked the fact that it was strapped to the electric pole.
I wouldn't want to cut this camion off. Ouch.
Misc
Ayer we went to the hospital to check
in on vacunas and the nurse said no vacunas until 18 months…5 de mayo
(holiday!!) Max will get 2. We are on schedule for all vacunas and the one we
thought we were behind schedule on is actually just an extra one the health
department has added. All good,
Nissan…as well yesterday, we went to
check on the friggin screws. We have 6 on order…hope they are the right ones.
UPDATE…mi mecanio in Vancouver supplied
me with a part number…they cost $4.00 each in Canada?
We went to Nissan today to give them
the correct part number and when they ran it in the computer, the part had a
new number. And when they entered the new number, it too had changed. Good
news? The 3rd number is the one that the boys ordered for me
already!! Should be here in a week…stay tuned.
Yesterday was busy…we also popped in to
say hola to Tony. He can remove the broken screws and if need be, re-thread the
holes to fit the other screws. Will head back in a few weeks when I see what the
screws we ordered are like.
Then we will get the engine splash
shield fully attached and touch base with Pablo, the painter, to see what we
can do about the corrosion.
As for the catalytic converters…$800
each and the camioneta has 2. Uh…not sure $1600 is a wise investment…stay
tuned.
Is it fin de semana already? Other then
heading to el gimnasio, we have no out of the norm plans for mañana. Domingo we
are back to racing and we must remember to move our clocks forward!!
How’s this for an exciting road trip?
Next week we are headed to Salina Cruz, about 2 hours away, be because….they
have a new Walmart!! Need to replace a few bleach stained items…doph…but we
will also see what else they have.
Rumor has it there is also a Sam’s Club
too…busy day!! Ja ja ja
Other then those 2 stores, and the
closest Burger King…not much else to see in Salina Cruz. The city is known for
it’s major fuel refinery and oil liners.
Have a great weekend.
Marco, Bexico y Max
