Buenos noches!!
A tranquilo domingo here in Huatulco
that started with a pretty good sleep and a 650am wake up…phew!!
Not the biggest desayunos, but we had a
great AM walk and a nice siesta too!!
The familia had fun at the playa, but
we struggle with the fact that not all the peeps we meet, are receptive to us,
or maybe just don’t understand us.
You figure you see some peeps having
such a fun time and their niño just wanting to play with other niños, and you
would be welcoming.
Instead, Bex y Max are sometimes left
with people just looking at them with a quizzical look on their faces.
What ever, that’s what I think!! Maybe
they are envious!! As long as we are always friendly, try to get to know them
and try to let peeps get to know us, then we have done all we can do.
And what was I doing during playa time?
Hola to the big race!! That and getting us ready for the PM rutina as I knew
the boys were headed out for a walk once Max was leche’d up, post playa time.
And while the boys were out walking,
madre prepped up her yummy parm pollo…good eats tonight!!
While on the walk, we saw our doctor
and his familia, eating a meal in a local restaurante. Max waved, the doctor
laughed. Max then blew them a kiss and they all laughed!!
Misc
I was doing a little late night web
browsing and saw some good deals on some GREAT items for our lil’man!! So we have
ordered a ton of shorts, rash guards and little guy boxers from Old Navy.
We are lucky to know some peeps who
allowed us to send the stuff to their casa in Alberta and they will bring down
the loot when they return to Huatulco post rainy season.
Now some peeps may ask why we would
need to order these things in Canada, vs buying local. A couple of reasons….the
selection here is minimal and we found nothing at the Walmart in Salina Cruz.
Not many Mexican niños wear rash guards
and in reverse, Max does not wear pants, only shorts, where as you see lots of
niños in pants.
Quality is another issue as we find
that some things here are of good quality and then really expensive, or are of
lesser quality and muy barato…cheap.
Claro?
Moving on to fotos and remember...your blog, you get to chose the fotos. Our blog...I choose the fotos!!
Come on, it wouldn't be a blog entry without fotos of Max and the camioneta verde!!
Now why did I chose these next fotos? Max has noticed something and gets really excited!!
Eyes bulging and tongue sticking out!!
And a little dance.
And what had Max been pointing at? The same two dogs on the roof across the street!! Oh to be that excited over perros!!
Back to examining the camioneta.
And look what is growing on the CP grounds.
This next foto is of Max actually finishing off saying the word piñã.
Max is in heaven...he LOVES autobuses and llantas. Score!!
Mañana?
Call them peeps at Amex, hit the gym,
hit Fonatur for some recycling and then probably do a Che pit stop.
This week I am sure we will have a
Mojon day or two because those will taper off soon.
Por que? Come mayo y junio, the weather
changes and it not only gets hotter, but it clouds over early afternoon and the
showers can start at 3 or 4pm. Not a fun Mojon time!!
I also want to hook up with Pablo the
painter, to see what we can do about the corrosion in the bed of the camioneta
verde. Stay tuned.
And the week after next (dentro de dos
semanas)? FM3 time for Max and it seems there are 4 reasons for Mexican
fiestas.
El 30 de abril is Día del Niños, el primero
de mayo is Día del Trabajo, el 3 de mayo is Día de la Santa Cruz and 5 de mayo
is actually known as the day of el Batalla de Puebla.
Stay tuned next week, for more info on
those important dates!!
Have a great lunes.
Marco, Bexico y Max
