The fotos are a little blurry due to my broken auto focus...argh...but Max seems to have a new "around the casa" casco.
Buenos noches!!
First off…thanks again to Roly y RJ for
sending us the package via DHL. It only took 3 days and are happy to get the
goods. Nothing outlandish, but some things we just cannot get here in Huatulco.
And happy to report that Bex’s new Amex
arrived, as did my new Visa. As for my Amex…after a 37 minute MJ call…it should
be on the way.
Whether or not it actually gets here is
another story. Amex is sending it via Canada Post vs a courier and we have had
less then 100% success using the post. Stay tuned.
Currently 845pm and it took 45 minutes
for the Whisperer to complete his job. Wow…Max was just not ready to sleep. He
did make me laugh though. He was in his cuna and I was laying on the bed
listening to him rustle and then sit up.
I sit up and the second I do, he lay
down and didn’t move. I lay down and after a few minutes, the same rutina. I
sit up and he lays down like nothing is going on.
After a few minutes of this, it is
still funny, but it is getting late. A few minutes on the chest of his padre
until he is sleepy enough, then he rolls off onto the bed and falls asleep. I
scoop him up and into the cuna he goes. Phew.
Positives? No rocking and no chupy
needed.
Our día? A good AM rutina including a
fun walk, hello!! Great siesta and then it was off to Mojon.
Once at Mojon, I knew it was going to
be a different día as it was windy and not hot at all…maybe 28,0 grados.
We lasted only 45 minutes as the wind
was howling and blowing sand in everyone’s ojo, and the oceano was frio…friggin
chilly.
So off to the Rio Copalita where Max y
madre took a dip and Bubba decided the water didn’t look so healthy, and stayed
ashore taking fotos!!
When we are on the bridge over the
river, we often see maybe 100 plus peeps cooling off in what looks like a nice
river. This far down stream and once you get to see the water up close….aaaah
no.
Maybe it is also due to dry season with
very little water running. We have been up in the montañas and rafted the top
of the rio…it would be crazy during rainy season!!
We didn’t stay long and pit stopped at
Che for some Max leche, before heading home.
Normally it would be alberca time, but
Ernesto told us about the DHL guy coming and going, so Bex loaded up Max on the
bici and went to check out DHL.
Mean while, Bubba cleaned up, got la
cena going and prepped for the PM rutina.
It is not far to DHL and the familia
was back quite quickly and empty handed. I guess the delivery hombre had not
been back to the oficina and our package was still in his camion.
Bex was given a cell number to call the
driver…but could not from the DHL oficina as their phone was not allowed for
cell calls. Huh? Wacky Mexico customer service.
Bex asked Marcelino at the gate, to
make the call and was told DHL would come back mañana at 3pm. But low and
behold…he arrived during tina time!! Score….now that is great Mexican customer
service!!
We had a good dinner…chops kinda tough…and
a good tina time, a FT con Oma y Opa and then it was the very long bed time
session.
And you are caught up.
Fotos.
Max has the llaves and is trying them out...in everything!!
No room for a running start...phew.
Full points for the landing!!
It would not be an A< walk without checking out the camioneta y the llanta.
Ah ah...la luna.
I think these peeps are the husband and daughter of Max's amiga at the farmacia. Max LOVED being helped onto the bici.
The viento has really blown the sand around.
And some big olas.
The only place to take shelter from the sand being blown around.
Río Copalita. The bridge in the background is the one we drive over on our way to Mojon.
Low water levels due to the dry season.
This direction leads you to the oceano y La Bocano...the mouth.
Mañana? Gym and probably pop in and see
Tony and discuss what to do with the splash guard issue we have on the
camioneta. Doph.
Have a great viernes!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
