Buenos noches!! Another martes has come
and is almost gone!!
Currently 9pm and as Bubba watches a
few episodes of Duck Commander y Dynasty, Bex is hard at work in the oficina
and the lil’man is chilling himself (and sleeping) in the chill room.
Ok, how was the day? Super…and the
familia is happy, happy, happy!!
So so sleep for the lil’man and thus
madre, but wow did we have a good siesta!! Ja ja ja
No AM walk around centro, but we loaded
up the truck and headed to Santa, Cruz that is, playas and INM.
We were at INM by 910am and strolled
right in. Nathalie was cool’ish…not sure if there are a changes at the oficina
or not as we did not see Sandra. Doph.
I said hola and thought she could help
answer mi preguntas, but she pointed me towards the boys and I was thinking “oh
oh”.
Now…the rumors are that there are new
immigration laws and procedures and I went as far as looking online and read a
few articles.
There was talk about a new name, new
fees, new paperwork, new wait times etc. Yikes.
But after chatting up the hombre, he
told me everything remains the same, just a MUCH higher fee. Over $3000 pesos
per person per year. Yikes.
So I will start the paperwork process
and after 2 de mayo, I will head into INM with my stack of papel and have Max
tag along carrying his bandera de Mexico!!
After 10 minutes we were all done…time
to prowl Santa Cruz, which we did for a good 45 minutes. Then it was off to
drop off some recycling at Fonatur and then home for leche y siesta.
After the nap, Bubba hit the gym and it
was good to get back after 5 days!! Yikes…the legs were stiff!!
Some sol at the nearly deserted alberca
and then upstairs to prep y cook Bubba’s meatballs para la cena and get us set
up for the PM rutina.
Meanwhile, the familia had returned
from another GREAT afternoon out…hola to the playa at Santa Cruz. No alberca
there, but the pier keeps the olas small and Max ran into and out of del mar
many, many times!!
Madre y Max leche’d up and then out for
a walk while the cooking goes on. Great dinner and an easy tina time and the
Whisperer only needed 10 minutes to close the show…phew!!
And you are caught up.
Fotos.
A few from ayer...Max prowling the grounds at CP.
Bici inspection time.
Onto the calle to inspect some llantas.
All good...off to the zocalo!!
How to tire the lil'man? Get him to do laps!!
Camo Max!!
Spotted this sign at a corner store in Santa Cruz.
Pasar is the verbo "to pass" or "to go" and mojado o mojada (female) means wet.
The look on Max's face says it all. Is it me, or does Max look huge in this senoritas arms?
No cruise ships in town...tranquilo!!
A sign hung at the iglesia.
During Semana Santa, Mexicans are famous for flopping anywhere they can. The church at Santa Cruz is an open air church and the sign reminds people that the church is not for sleeping or leaving clothing behind.
From my walk to el gimnasio....pssssst, amigo...wanna buy some huevos?
Tough to see, but the eggs are plastic and have little plastic chicks in them. Much friendlier then dying the real chicks!!
Misc…
Ayer, what did we hear come out of
Max’s mouth? We both looked at each other when after Max had guzzled back some
water, he put down the bottle and said “no more”. Words are coming soon!!
And last but not least, the weather
stats for marzo. It was a dry month, not a drop of lluvia fell!! As for the
temps…we saw average highs of 32,0 y lows of 25,7 while in 2012 it was 33,9 y
25,9. So it looks like it was cooler during the day (huh?) and the same as last
year at night (huh?). It sure has felt warmer during the día y noche.
What can we expect for abril? No rain
and average highs in 2012 were 34,2 y lows of 25,6. And near the end of the
month…the humido will magically appear and stick around until the end of
septiembre. Doph.
Plans for mañana? No sé…stay tuned!!
Hasta luego.
Marco, Bexico y Max
