Buenos tardes!!

No need to check on the status of Max's new pasaporte...The Canadian Embassy in Mexico City called us!! That would be oh-oh #1 for the day.

Max's pasaporte does not expire until diciembre, but who knows what snags could happen when applying for a new one via Mexico City. So the application was sent in a week or so ago and the first thing requested was a copy of Bex's and my pasaportes...something not on the application checklist.

Easy to scan and send...all done.

And now a phone call? On the application, it asks for my surname at birth if different then what I use now. Well, it was different and as I have done on all 10 of my previous pasaporte applications as well as for Max's original, I wrote down my birth surname.

I guess Passport Canada, in Canada, is requesting documentation of the change. Huh? Mexico City issued me my last pasaporte themselves and saw that I filled out the application with my birth surname then as well.

The document they look for is in a storage locker in Vancouver...but the friendly lady on the phone told me that if I don't have it here in Mexico, write out a little note explaining the change in last names and maybe...maybe...Passport Canada will accept that.

Let's see...they have copies of my pasaporte, Max's birth certificate that lists me as the father, they have my pasaporte application from last time and when I email them the story, they will have a copy of my birth certificate. Wow....and how many Canadian passports are held by people of suspect intentions?

Oh oh #2? Max woke up from his siesta at 145pm. Doing the math...Max usually falls asleep 7 hours (or more) after his siesta is over and that makes it 845pm or later. Yikes.

But the good news related to that is Max had a 1030pm pee break, which led to a great sleep, a dry cuna and a 645am final wake up.

As for the rest of the día...615am wake up, manos over the rail and we both slept until 645am. Leche y videos and then tranquilo time followed by a good desayunos. A little picky with the fruta...he does not like the seeds in kiwi and if it is too soft, like today's peach, he may spit it out. Trust me...I am working on that!!

A busy morning planned so off we went on the bici with the first stop being to pay our agua bill at the Fonatur oficina (not where we take recycling). A good tour and then after many pit stops due to the humido, we grabbed our huevos at SCA, dropped them off into the camioneta verde and continued on to the shoe store.

Max has blown through the toes on his red Cons...all due to how he comes to a stop on his bici. There is really only one good shoe store here and even then their stock is limited. The shoes Max wears have a 17 MX and 26 on the bottom but all they had at the zapateria was a 17 MX 27 and it is too large.

Maybe this is a good reason for the familia to take a road trip?

We guzzled down some more agua and back to the camioneta verde we went, loaded up and headed off to Soriana. Soriana is not really a "score" type of store, but they do carry good cerdo y rib eye steaks.

We grabbed everything on our list, as well as some rib eyes, and then it was home for leche, libros and an attempt at a siesta.

Bubba, The Niño Whisperer, gave it a shot and almost had the lil'man asleep, but i could not close the show. The good news is that when Bex came in, Max was nice and calm and 15 minutos later he was asleep.

Normally I have siesta watch, but due to the late start, 1245pm, Bex took this shift and I was off to el gimnasio.

And while I was working hard in the hot gym, Max y Bex slept. Oh Madre!! Hey, if you can score a siesta, with Max, AND in the chill room...grab it!!

Post siesta they had some comida and play time and when I came home for the gym, they were gearing up for a Max bici tour and then are headed off to an amigas for some swimming.

Later siesta, later dinner and we are hoping he is pooped out tonight and falls asleep easily. Anyone want to take bets on how it turns out?

So, at 345pm, with the current weather looking like this:

I have the casa to myself for another 2 hours!! Tranquilo time for Bubba!!

Ok, onto the fotos.

Lil'Max in jean shorts and a white playera...hello!!

Off we went with Max leading the way...as usual.

But still smart enough to check and see how close his Poppa is following behind.

And then off we go again.

Down some grass covered hills.

Pit stop to wave hola hola to the bomberos.

And off we go again.

Ooops. He was a-ok...I ran, yes RAN, to check on him. The grass was like a pillow.

A comedor economico, busy of course. Note the two hombres sitting on bancos who are staring across the calle...at the lil'man.

Paid the water bill, $214 pesos for 2 meses, and off we go again...and again.

It was HOT!! We needed an agua pit stop.

And then Max starts counting how many peeps have come by to say "hola hola Max" and try to touch his casco.

And it was while we were pit stopped there, that an hombre came up to us to say hola hola and chat us up about Max's bici. He has seen Max wheeling around town and was muy curio about the sign on Max's casco.

And then I discovered we have dos personas famoso living in B10. This hombre said he has seen Bex racing, yes racing, her bici around town and he was very impressed. Felicidades madre!!

Post pit stop...off we go again.

Hola hola Poppa!!

One muy feliz niño!! Vida es buena!!

And from ayer...this is how mi familia does arts and crafts. Here was an attempt at making masks.

Looks like Max had fun!!

Ok...off to cook la cena and will be back at you after tina time...and before I give it my best shot at helping the lil'man fall asleep.

Hasta pronto!!

Buenos noches!! We are on the home stretch...leche y libros and then into the bed room. I have 22 minutos to go...tick tock tick tock.

The rest of the afternoon? Bex y Max had a fabulous time...until it was time to head home. And then he threw another soon to be infamous tantrum. So far this is #2 and only when Bex is trying to get him to leave his amigos and head home para la cena.

A bit of a dark cloud but then we had our dinner, a huge plateful for Max, and then judging by his energy level, we decided he needed to get out of the house before tina time.

A walk with his padre was in order and it was going to be a hot one. How hot?

Who has "feels like 40,0" grados and 79% humido at 7pm?

We had a nice 30 minuto prowl and were home at 715pm, the time he usually starts leche y libros. But with the later siesta etc...much better to try and tire him out. Stay tuned.

Mañana? Fin de semana already? No extra plans other then race sábado and camarones domingo!!

Have a great weekend y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
