Now, is that the smile of a niño not feeling 100%? Yup it is!!

Buenos tardes and first off, the Max Van health update. No fever last night, but he was warm to the touch...something not too new to us.

Awake from 10-1030pm due to sore legs, and his madre took care of that and got him back to sleep. A good noche and then he sprang up at 4am and asked to join his Poppa, which he did until 610am. Yikes.

But asleep at 8pm, minus 30 minutos for sore legs and then up at 610am is almost 10 hours.

He was happy this morning but did not eat a big breakfast. he told me his legs were sore and he decided a walk would be better then a bici ride...a very responsible choice if you ask me!!

Tranquilo prowl, a little low on energy...but it was and is stinking hot. Pool time was cut short because he started to have a chill and had the shivers tambien. That NEVER happens.

So we know he is not 100%. A shorter siesta and he woke up hot to the touch again, and he has had flushed cheeks for most of the afternoon.

We have kept his day tranquilo and he is currently at the CP alberca with his madre, so he has some energy but is just not his usual zoom zoom self.

Hoping that mañana we see more energy and if not...hola hola to the doctora!!

As for the rest of the día...videos at 645am and then some tranquilo time before our breakfast. Not a bad desayunos, just not the usual huge plato that he normally eats. Today he settled on 75% of his normal fruta intake, 2 bites of a hard boiled egg and 2 bites of a piece of pan tostada.

We are having good progress on the baño lessons!! If Max has done business in his panale, we then let him wear his lil'dude ginchies and today he asked me to take them off because he had more business!! Score!! No cleaning the piso for Poppa!!

Back to ginchies and then a pre-prowl pee and a post-prowl pee and we have stayed dry. Yahoo!! Small steps and a long process, but we think he is getting it!!

A slow and steady prowl and the high light for Max was when we pit stopped at the cars in front of Oxxo and the owner came out to say hola hola.

She knows us via knowing Max y Bex and as Max was sitting in the carro, she came out and asked if Max gets scared when the cars move. I said no with a laugh and then told her she never sees Max in the machines as they move, because his Poppa is "codo" which means elbow, but is used to call people cheap.

She tells us she owns the tienda and friends ride for free today and plopped in a $5 peso coin and Max was thrilled!!

Hey...430pm update. Max has a throat infection of some sort (pool water maybe? Oh Max!!) and madre is off to take him to the doctora and get him med'ed up. Stay tuned.

And I have run out of blog update time as I need to go prep the meatballs.

Back at you post tina time.

Hasta pronto.

Did I mention how stinking hot it was earlier in the day?

And at 730pm, I can tell you that it is not much cooler!! Not hating...just stating!!

So...buenos noches and welcome back!!

It was a crazy 430-530pm as Max y Bex returned with confirmation of a throat infection and carrying one of the two medicinas needed. That and some sopa for Max's dinner.

I raced around and finished cooking the meatballs and the accompaniments and then we had a good dinner. Max ate lots of his soup and then started telling us about a sore belly. Yikes...what's next?

Madre gave him some bici exercises and he felt better, especially after some couch surfing with the iPad!!

Clean up complete, we were going to give Bex some tranquilo time while The Boys went out to suss out the other medicina, but we only made it downstairs before Max mentioned his sore belly again.

Doc Vicky is not in so we headed back to the clinica next to Dr Simi and I tell ya...Max does not act like a sick niño. Waaaaay too much energy!!

A short wait and the doctora took a look at Max's belly and said yes, he has a small inflammation. She gave us the name for more meds, but he is already on 2 and we will stop at that.

If he has lots of pain, we will reconsider or give him some Tylenol. and it might not be a real issue as Bex thinks the lil'man might have a few farts backed up, causing him the sore tummy. Oh...backed up farts...yippee!!

We scored on the 2nd meds and headed home for tina time, libros and some jugo instead of leche. And as I type away, I have heard the meditation musica fire up...I have 15 minutos to go!!

Onto the fotos!!

Pre-prowl poses from the landing.

How to get Max to smile, and then smile some more?

Have his madre stand behind you making silly poses and faces!!

And all of a sudden, out came Home Boy Max.

No casco on a prowl, so we bring Pedro Pollo along for protection. Uh Max..I don't think we need to worry about that bebe.

Prowling the mercado.

In the iglesia, out of the sun but it was stinking hot in there. Here Max points to the one person in the church, a señorita who was praying but who Max thought was asleep.

Funny (maybe) story? I was taking care of Pedro Pollo as we roamed the church, because we did not want him to squawk, especially if someone is sleeping or praying in there.

I put him in the pocket of my cargo shorts and all was good. I bent down to take that last foto and when I stood up, Pedro did a full on squawk...soooo loud. Max...we outta here!!

Next to Oxxo they have the mechanical carros and here is Max in one. I took all these fotos because he was singing along to a Spanish song that was playing.

It took me a while to figure out why Max's head seems to be moving so much frame by frame and then I realized the carro was moving as I was taking the shots. Duh.

We came home for a pee break and to get into swim gear, and we passed by Momma Bex (as Max sometimes calls her) on her way out for a bici rip around town.

Smoochy smoochy!!

Misc...Max has found himself a doll, a little bebe dressed in blue. I asked Bex how he came upon this doll and she told me he saw it in a store and wanted it so he could be "his Poppa, like Poppa is to me"

So today I see this doll and here is the conversation.

"Hey Max, what is his name?"

"Meatball."

"Is that his full name?"

"No, it is Furry Meatball."

I must get back to madre and find out how this came about. Hilarious!! Stay tuned.

Ok...bed time went as scheduled...825pm on the nose. Tranquilo time!!

Have a great noche y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
