Hola hola from peek a boo Max.

Buenos tardes...from playa Mojon!! No, there is no internet service under our palapa...and I am hoping everything I type will be saved once we get back to the casa.

Currently 410pm and we have had our hot dogs, a playa prowl, the familia swim and now Bex y Max are back into some sand castle building.

We had a bit of a longer journey as we stopped for some yakking and to look at some oh so cute gatitos. We would normally be at the camoineta verde by 430pm and on the road at 445pm, but we have decided that we will stay here longer and forgo the post cena bici tour once we are home.

A beautiful día...not too hot and there is a poco viento helping keep us cool. That and the palapa of course. But I do want to know what d*** cheese stole our nylon rope, the one strung between 2 postes and used as a clothes line.

Not expensive at all, but a pain in the butt having no where to hang our wet gear. So, on our re-stock for Mojon list, we have rope, bbq lighter and we need to repair the $85 peso bbq as it has corroded through on the bottom and it no longer holds the carbon. Busy busy busy we are here in Huatulco!!

As for the rest of the día...not complaining as who would care, but it was a crappy noche for me. It started off with a 40 minuto bedtime (up at 615am and a 30 minuto siesta and it still took 55 minutos to fall asleep?) and then a 10pm false alert pee break and then a few wake ups during the noche.

I recall 1230am, 130am, 3am, 5am and then up for good at 6am. Max is going through some sort of phase as he has been a little wacky emotion wise, is eating double what he was a week ago, and is now waking up earlier each day. I do not recall reading about this while doing my pre-parenthood studies!!!

Usual rutinas after 615am, leche, videos, tranquilo time and then onto the huge desayunos. Off for a bici tour and then home for a swim before heading upstairs for leche y libros.

Max did not want his madre to put him down for siesta...I think he asked her to leave and told her he wanted to be alone. Heck, when I have come in at night to close the show, he has told his madre "I don't want Dad" as well as "I don't want him". Him? Ooooooh Max!!

But with the early wake up, a drive to playa Mojon coming, as well as lots of excursion at the playa...Max was going to have a siesta. He just didn't know it yet.

The Niñõ Whisperer went in, scooped up the lil'dude, put some sleep gafas on over his ojos, gave him a rock and then we both slept for 50 minutos. Score!!

We woke up to Max screaming No No No No! Still dreaming mi hijo? It took 10 minutos in the bedroom to get him semi normal and another 5 once he saw his madre. Yikes.

But after assisting his madre pack up the coolers, he was his old self and quite excited about playa Mojon. He raises his arms in the air and calls out "yahoo...playa Mojon".

Into the camioneta and right away we knew he was not 100% and had the bucket listo...and we needed it moments after pulling onto the dirt road leading to playa Mojon. Doph.

But madre and Max handled it like troopers and Max felt much better. How do we know this? He said "I feel much better now".

On we went, set up shop, struggled to get the carbon to light and finally ate a good lunch. Phew. And that has been our day so far.

Onto some fotos?

It was an naranja kind of día.

He's back there somewhere.

The transformation from Señor Serio to Señor Muy Tonto.

Time to cool down at HSBC.

Off to look for Polly...she was back on vacaciones today.

He knows I always need to be able to see him and here he fulfills this obligation after wheeling around the corner at full speed.

Almost home and we come to a screeching halt to check "the smoke" that Max has seen come out the back of his bici.

Ok...time to pack up. Bex y Max will have a bici tour around our dirt road and then we will be on the road.

Back at you after tina time.

Hasta pronto!!

Buenos noches!! Currently 830pm and that was a great bed time...phew!! And the best way to start my share of bed time? Walk into a dark room and then hear your hijo say "I want a hug Poppa" followed by "Poppa, you are special". Good coaching from his madre...gracias!!

And post playa? After a pit stop for a failed attempt at saving the 2 gatitos, we arrived home safe and sound and went straight into clean up and cooking mode.

A good dinner and Max, as tired as he was, ate a huge plateful and then had a short FT con Oma y Opa with not much said by the tired lil'man. Oh Max.

Onto tina time, leche y libros and then the successful bed time. Hoping...oh I am hoping...for a smooth noche and hopefully a 10pm pee break for the lil'man!!

Good news? With soooo much time on my hands, I managed to load the playa Mojon fotos...and here they are!!

The ocean side drive past our lot. Note all the green...lots of lluvia at playa Mojon.

The lowest tide we have seen in months!! Lots of rocks on this side of the playa.

And quite a bit more sand on the other side.

The water at la bocana, the Copalita river mouth, was dark brown due to the amount of sand coming down the mountains and flowing into the river and then the ocean.

This brown water has made it all the way to playa Mojon and was visible off shore.

Here, Max y madre are caught off guard by an incoming olas. Any guess how we have previously lost 2 pairs of flip flops? Oh madre!!

I was typing away on the blog, when I saw these two wash ashore, grabbed my camera and shot away.

And after coming ashore, the lil'man went for a run, hoping for an air dry and a reversal of any shrinkage!!

Ooops.

No problem...back into the olas con madre!!

Yahoo....playa Mojon!!

Ok, you are all caught up!!

Have a great jueves y hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
