Well hellllooo darlings.

Buenos tardes. Currently sunny and hot here in Huatulco.

But 30,0 feeling like 42,0 is nothing new for us.

A good day so far. Anoche, we had a longer bed time, but I did not think it was going to be that way.

The Niño Whisperer entered at 750pm, scooped up lil'Max, plopped him into his cuna at 752pm and he lay still for 10 minutos. Huh? Are you falling asleep already? Score?

802pm...

"I love you Poppa"...I love you too Max.

"I see you in the morning Poppa"...yes Max, and maybe we cook some huevos fritos?

"Yes Poppa".

"Poppa...sweet dreams"

You too lil'Max

And then The Trickster came out and he tossed and turned until 830pm. Oh Max!!

A 10pm playera change, but then other then some manos sometime during the noche, Max slept straight thru until 645am. And we even had the window open after 330am. Brrrr.

Usual morning for us, but heard at 730am..."Poppa, you do some "business" and you get to pick one of the cars"...Max referring to the cars we have taped up on the baño wall hoping he will want to go and do his business in the baño. So far it has not motivated him...maybe we need to tape up food? Ja ja ja

Before I forget...Feliz Día del Grito!!

Tranquilo time, a good breakfast and then we rushed out the door as our morning was slipping away from us.

We had 30 minutos until we needed to meet up with madre and after we did, off to the estancia infantil we went.

A good meeting for Bex and the señorita as I had to corral Max. There was a group of 10 niños or so, some of Max's amigos included, and they were all in their uniforms, sitting quietly at lil'people tables and doing some arts and crafts.

We ushered Max in there and when he saw us head to the oficina, he was outta there and wanted to explore and touch everything. So madre was in charge of the questions and I was in charge of the lil'tormento!!

Bex and I have not really chatted it up, but it does not look like this is for Max. We cannot see him sitting still and doing painting...he needs kick boxing or maybe track and field.

We will chat it up tonight and let you know how it goes. Stay tuned.

A somber walk as we thought about this situation, and then we parted ways, Bex heading home for desayunos and The Boys going a different ruta and one that took quite a bit longer with ol'doph dee doh stopping to look at everything.

Some leche, a pee break and then off for some chair diving into the CP alberca. A good swim and then upstairs for leche y libros and at noon on the nose...into Poppa's arms. At 1211pm, into madre's arms and by 1219pm...lights out!!

And when I left for el gimnasio at 130pm, he was still lights out. He must have been pooped...and we will see what kind of impact that has on tonight's bed time.

The funny (?) thing is that for the past 3 nights, no matter how the day has gone, Max has fallen asleep at 825pm...on the nose.

I headed to el gimnasio and had a super warm bici ride and then strolled through centro looking for mi familia. ¿Por que? Because their plan had been to eat their comida in the zocalo and then head to the mall to play on their toys.

I missed them, but ran into them just as they were coming into the CP gates.

They had a pit stop and then headed out to the CP alberca, I had some casa clean up and then some tranquilo time and that is where you find me right now.

All caught up...onto the fotos.

After a failed attempt at getting some fotos, I told Max he could go get his bici. Here, it really looks like someone was excited about getting his bici.

A few Max Van facial expressions.

Zoom zoom down the sidewalk.

Too far ahead of his Poppa...and here he comes. Beware the tongue!!

No, not a fire alarm drill, but prepping for a Día de Independencia parade.

Miau.

This is Max's amigo from Oaxaca City. He comes here every now and then and stays for a few months selling wood crafted items, and then returns to his hija.

Always muy amable and Max loves touching his cabello (hair...caballo is a horse) because of the gel (pronounced hell) in it.

Pit stopped at Poopie Loopie for some pollo and our bagger was all dressed up. Mañana we will see lots of niños dressed up like this for the parade.

Max's new gig...smelling spices. Here he explore a shelf at Poopie Loopie.

Not sure he likes that smell.

The butchers and I were having a good chuckle and Max seemed to enjoy the attention.

On the way to el gimnasio I spotted these construction workers headed off to the work site.

Ahhhh...15 de septiembre...pay day for the tamarindos!!

I came upon these 2 vagabundos and wondered what up with the sidewalk pit stop.

It turns out Max had convinced his madre for another "carry", but since he is soooo big and it is soooo hot, madre needed a break. So time to convince Max to start walking on his own.

Into the CP grounds.

And even with this look, I was not recognized. Oh madre!!

Ok...off to cook la cena. Mucho viento at 505pm...storm coming?

Back at you post tina time.

Hasta pronto.

Buenos noches...30 minutos until The Whisperer goes in to close the show.

Wow...what a way to end the día!! We had oh so yummy pollo reggiano para la cena and then after one video, dessert and clean up, off for a bici tour we went.

Mucho viento so it was relatively cool out...

Ja ja ja

As we rounded the corner near the escuela, we saw the tail end of a parada. Over 1000 niños from many different grados y escuelas, all in uniforms waiting to start marching.

Off the bici and Max joined in. The problem was that we were at the end of a slow moving parade and after a few meters it came to a halt. Not good for a lil'man who wants to march.

So back onto the bici and we made our way through crowded sidewalks, full of parents taking fotos of their marching niños.

Up to the front and after a few more minutos of waiting, Max jumped onto the calle and was either the tail marcher of one group, or the lead marcher of the next group.

He was having a blast, we were smiling ear to ear, lots of peeps were admiring him and of course there were lots of peeps calling out his name.

Max was part of the parada for 2 sides of the zocalo, and as it turned away from the zocalo, it was time for us to head the other way and go home. Max did not want to go...he wanted to do more marching.

But there is another parada mañana and we will see if we can get him into to it...and bring the camera tambien.

Home for tina time, leche y libros and that has been our día.

Mañana...Día de Independencia, Che martes and don't forget to wish Oma a Feliz Cumpleaños!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
