Buenos tardes!! That would be Señor Serio after having been sent out to try and capture some palomas and burn off some energy.
Currently 250pm and the familia is off to the Cluuuuub and Poppa has some tranquilo time...and clean up time...this afternoon. Lots to do...20 laps left in the PVR'd race and then hola hola to some NFL!!
The día? It started with a good noche, 30 minutos for Poppa vs Friday night's 60. Phew.
A great sleep for both boys as Max slept until 3am and then was awake at 615am, swimming in his cuna again. He does not realize it until he stands up and into the puddle and then you hear "Poppa Poppa Poppa".
Panale y cuna pit stop and then after leche I set the iPad alarm for 715am and figured another 30 minutos of sleep would not hurt.
And at 8am...what...8am? Yup, Poppa slept in and when I asked the lil'dude about the alarma, he gave me a grin. That's my move when I turn off Bex's alarm and let her sleep!!
Behind schedule...onto tranquilo time while I got us set up and then into a huge plato of fruta, some cereal, un huevo frito, yogurt and some Gerbers. Happy about the huevo as Max plates the fried egg and then after I cut it up, he is now able to use a knife to shovel the egg onto his fork...and he clears the plato!!
Running out of time...need to be in the casa around 1115am, 5 hours after wake up.
Only one time out pre-bici tour...Max is learning (?). Off we went to Soriana for some odds and ends...pan, salchichas de pavo and some SUPER expensive night time panales. Cheaper to change and wash his sheets every 2 days.
But will give them a go and see what up.
Zoomed home for a familia swim and then upstairs for the libros y leche. Poppa scooped the lil'man up at 1145am and there was little to no resistance...our #1 goal with this change in procedure.
Ten minutos of rocking with the sleep cloth over his ojos and he was pretty much lights out. Madre comes in and we transfer the package with the now customary slurring of "I cannot fall asleep with Poppa" and then Bex closes the show. Score!!
A good one hour siesta and then it was time to watch some racing while Max helped make some more oh so yummy panque de platanos, banana muffins.
He lost some interest and came over to see what his Poppa was up to and then into his silla and Poppa helped the lil'man eat his comida.
Some play time, clean up time and off the familia has gone.
All caught up and before I get into clean up mode and then start couch surfing, here are the fotos.
The paloma chase.
Waaaaay ahead of his Poppa, but patiently waiting for me.
From ayer, yesterday.
If you see this hanging out alone amongst the calles....
You know the mother ship is close by.
Mexicanos match colors on their hamacas to their casas, as we might match socks to our outfits. Note the ever present Coca Cola.
Tabicon for sale and it is a business plan I do not understand.
You can buy these building bricks at local tiendas o tallers or you can buy them cheaper (?) from the hombres that pull into town with a truck full of them.
So, maybe you get them cheaper...but how much profit margin is in it for the guy who needs to load his truck, drive it town to town and sleeps in said camion?
I guess they get some sort of deal by buying them directly from the place that makes them...but it cannot be that big a money maker. Can it? Hmmmmm?
And look who we saw today...the ceramic pots guy chatting it up with the duster hombres.
And seen prowling the centro...Pharrell.
And with a light load of fotos today...time to drag out the crappy Sony DSC W730 and see what madre has been up to.
After downloading 200 fotos and then figuring out how to rotate every other one (command click), here are the 41 that made the cut. Some of them might still be a tad fuzzy...blame Sony and their crappy DSC W730 camera.
Lil'man out for a tour and taking a pit stop on the median.
At the jungle park.
At Tic Toc and taking care of an amiga.
Max does this move (oh Max) and look at his amiga's expression...add your own caption.
Some nice shots from playa Mojon...the first one is from under the sombra of our palapa.
From one of our many post cena tours...el sol is setting.
From 28 de agosto, madre's cumpleaños. Here The Boys are about to cross from the zocalo and head to Los Portales to join madre para desayunos.
But first..."cutie face" con padre.
Picking out some jitomates from some spicy pico de gallo.
And a pre-birthday dinner pose.
Nose nose con su padre.
Tonto Poppa!!
Poppa reading out the cocktail list to Max.
Well behaved at dinner and I did not mind Max taking a pit stop on Poppa lap.
Compartir...to share...and Max is very good at it. The look on my face? Before taking a zip, I am checking to see how much pan from Max's boca has made it into the glass.
Time for dinner darlings. Pollo, jitomate, quesillo y papas la frances.
I was coming home from el gimnasio, and Max was headed out for a prowl con su madre. There was a light sprinkle at the time.
And then Max partakes in his latest fascination, tugging on our oregas, ears.
Another día and another prowl.
This would be Max on Tony Caballo. Tony used to be in front of Oxxo, but as horses do, he wandered down the calle.
As noted in a previous update, we can keep Max feliz via his stomach. Here he munches down on a panque de zanahoria, a carrot muffin.
Same prowl and he has spotted a carro he likes. It happens to be in front of a hotel where we know the owners and their 2 chihuahua perros, Chispa y Canela.
Max in the drivers seat...buckle up amiga!!
DH's of Huatulco getting together.
Having spotted a niña (?) in a bikini, Max plays it super cool.
The toy that caused all the problems!!
Max did not want to leave the get together, instead he wanted to stay and push Gwen in the carro, at full speed into walls. Gwen was ok that Max had to leave, and Max threw tantrum #2 of his short life.
Wow...that was a schwack of fotos eh?
Back at you after both camarone domingo y tina time are over.
Hasta pronto!!
Buenos noches! We are almost done for the día...except for Sunday Night Football!!
Bex y Max had a great time at the Cluuuub and madre says the highlight was when Max was playing with a niña and they were both taking turns going down a slide. The lil'gal was timida and once she saw Max go, she gained some nerves and started doing well.
What impressed Bex the most was hearing and seeing Max cheer on the girl, telling her she had done a good job. Muy amable lil'Max!!
They came home at 515pm and Max and I cooked up the arroz y camarones and then we all ate a plateful...and some!!
Some videos....brrrrrrup...the parties over...and then off for a bici tour, tina time and leche y libros. The musica will start up soon and I have 22 minutos until I am called to duty!!
And that was our día. Oh, the race? A little exciting and boring due to seeing one dominant driver lead 383 of 400 laps, but now the 16 drivers have been chosen to race for the Cup...it will be an exciting 10 races!!
Have a great lunes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
