Posing for a super fun mug shot? Oh Max!!
Buenos tardes. We have a new record!!
Only 24, 0 feeling like 35,0...but we have 94% humido!! We are close to the point where if you drive, you will need your windshield wipers on just to clear the humido!!
Currently 330pm and after a rain shower earlier in the day the humido has climbed. Perfect walking weather for the familia to be on a prowl. Too wet for the playa or a bici ride...so off around centro they have gone, soon to return for a swim in the CP alberca.
As for the rest of the día...a good bedtime (phew), a good noche (phew) and our pre-tour time was fairly low key as well (double phew).
Up at 640am in a dry cuna...that is a good way to start the day!!
Usual rutinas and after a good desayunos, loaded with fresh cut fruta, The Boys headed out for a bici ride under overcast skies.
Best part of the tour? We headed to Simi, the farmacia, and out front was a Dr Simi character dancing to some rocking tunes.
This is not from today, but here is Dr Simi.
Who wheels up and starts shaking his own booty and choque'ing the character? Lil'Max Van!! And just as I was about to take some fotos...the rain showers came.
And then Max starts pointing to the ground getting wet and starts yelling to the Simi dude..."look at this, look at this...it is getting wet" and of course the hombre inside the costume has no idea what Max is saying. Hilarious!!
The showers ended just in time for The Boys to have a fun dip in the CP alberca...hola hola to a ton of cannonballs!!
And Max is really chatty now a days. Today he tells Marcos "Marcos, look...nube obscura" and Marcos was caught off guard because until now, Max has been way more reserved then that. It is great to see him interacting with all these peeps!!
Post swim, upstairs for lech y libros and onto a 75 minuto siesta.
I was off to el gimnasio and when I checked in on the familia, it was iPad snug time in bed. Oh familia!!
And when I came home and shouted out hola hola, I was thrilled to see mi hijo come running to me and ask me "how was your gym Poppa?".
A little chat with lil'Max and I found out lunch included pouring Gerbers on his cookies. He is hilarious as he knows why we feed him Gerber prunes and on a day like today when he has had no business, he will ask us to feed him the Gerbers!!
Off went the familia and after a lil'clean up, here I am.
So...onto the fotos.
Pre-tour and to keep Max calm'ish, we now say hasta pronto to his madre while we are on the landing, all ready to go.
Here Bex is undoubtedly saying "an be good for your Poppa".
Then she gets the "sure I will" affirmation hug from Max. Note he is looking at me with the "hee hee hee" look in his ojos. Oh Max!!
But madre is happy!! Ja ja ja
And once out of the casa...so is Maxo (happy that is)!!
At a local hotel, we pit stop for some Cheerios y pasas. They know us there, say hola hola to us and just let us roam the lobby y alberca, as they know we will only be a few minutos.
Max must touch as many things as he can.
And then decides to show off one of his "guns"!!
I was looking around el iglesia and when I turn back, Max "Evel Knievil" Van has jumped his bici onto the banco around the church.
Pointing to a palma.
Easier and safer getting the bici onto the banco...Poppa came to the rescue but received a dirty look for helping.
Max is getting us to touch rough walls and when we confirm they are rough, he says "like in Gilligan's...where the weather is getting rough".
Here we scored on a rough wall and a sonrisa!!
Old amigos having a moment together.
Having not seen Polly for all of one day, he (she?) deserves an abrazo.
Another pit stop and this one is because Max said he was "so stinking hot".
Ok...off to grab some verdura and then back home to start cooking la cena.
Back at you post tina time.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches and all I can do to sum up the rest of the día is say "hmmmmmmmm". Wackiness galore...from having to exit the pool early due to not listening to his madre, to driving through a huge dog dump and us having to wash his bici tires off in the alberca showers.
In between there was less wackiness, but more energy sucking behaviours and attitude. But...no tears from any of us...almost...but none.
A good dinner and other then the dumb a•• vagabundos leaving their crap everywhere, a good bici tour. Hey, tourist season is coming up and I think the municipal government needs to do something about the out of control wild dog population.
Home for bici shower, tina time for Max and in a few minutes leche y libros will be over and then off to bed time. Buen suerte!!
Misc...we have had our first Northern arrivals and as the weeks pass, we will see more and more Canadians coming into the CP.
Ok, have a great martes y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
