Thank you Bexico!! I slept from 1am until 530am!! And then it was my turn for sentry duty.
It did not last long as at 645am it was feeding time. But Max is latching on well and soon we can have some bottles ready so Bex can get more then 1-2 hours of zzz at a time. Time for padre Bubba to learn another skill…bottle feeding.
Interesting tid-bitt (hee x3) via mi hermana mayor. When some Vanderleedens immigrated from Holland, some went to Canada and some went to the East Coast of the USA, primarily in Massachusetts.
Karen, mi hermana, has been in touch with Kevin Vanderleeden in Mass, told him about Max and guess who else has a son called Max Vanderleeden? Who knew there would be two!! Not sure how they are related…maybe one day they will meet.
Rest of the day?
I actually made it to the gym for a 45 minute session. Tough to work out when you are pooped…but good to get some exercise in.
Then it was off to London Drugs for a few Bexico items and I must say…the guy who helped me look for nipple cream…didn’t flinch and was super helpful!! Ja ja ja
Off to Vital Statistics and that went smooth. $60 later they will rush our birth certificate once they can confirm the info I supplied, with the info the hospital sends in. Fingers crossed this is not a long process. Next step will be…baby passport fotos? Come on!! But it is true.
Hit up Walmart…waaaaay too many types and pack sizes of diapers. And many stores are always out or low on level 1 (newborn) sizes. Found one box and of course it would not scan it’s price. Ten minutes later…I was almost asleep at the register!!
Onto Stupid Store and loaded up some dinners for the next 3-4 nights. Easy dinners to make and clean up. Also loaded up on some sore throat meds for Bexico. Poor girl has a cold and cannot cough because it hurts her c-section area.
Headed home to relieve Bexico for a spell and then at 4pm we had a home visit from the midwife group. All good and they answered a few questions for us too.
Currently 6pm and I am watching the news while Max snoozes along side me on the couch. Our plan? Back to the plan of either Bexico and I taking a nap while the other hangs with Max, and then in a few hours he will wake up, we feed him, hang with him for a while and then he will zzzz again. At that time we will swap and the other gets to get some shut eye.
Everything changes…dinner will be at 8pm or so!!
A misc non-important tid-bitt (hee x4) of info before the fotos?
St Pauls Hospital is right downtown. That means a wide variety of characters were in and around the hospital. Our favorites? The drunk in the elevator who out loud said he was going to stay away from Max…because he would drop him by accident? Or maybe the guy with the 3 wheel niño stroller, who takes up ½ the elevator…and has an ugly dog in the stroller? Ja ja ja
But we still had GREAT service from the peeps at St Pauls…another big thank you.
Ok…fotos.
These are from today.
And these were taken by mi padre over November 4 to 6.
St Paul’s
