Howdy all!! 715pm and everyone is asleep!! Again? Lol
So I sit here plugging away on the blog, and watching Kissteria on Much Music!!
I also just finished an iChat with mi padre y hermano…who is home from being on the road and is graciously opening up his house for the family shin dig mañana. And? And he is already prepping the polly y costillas (chicken and ribs) para la cena!! And? And he cannot have a Crown Royal because tonight he needs to drive out to Abbotsford to pick up our sister y niece from the airport. Phew…thanks bro y Kim!!
Today it was an early morning as we were at the doctors for 8am and left early due to some possible nieve out there…but we made it safe and sound…and early.
#2 tip for new dads …eat AND sleep before going to see Doctor Snip Snip. Sleeping from 1am-6am was NOT enough and even though I did not feel faint…I felt ugh.
What fixed that? Hello…breakfast at our favorite breakfast haunt…Joes on 4th!!
Despues de desayunos, off to price out some tires and then we headed to meet Netty and sign off on our life insurance policies. We are covered!! BMO declined us because we live in big, bad and scary Mexico!! But Manulife came thru.
I am headed back to meet Netty over the next few weeks and set up the RESP for Max. First contribution? From mi hermao y Kim…mucho grassy ass!!
We headed home and stopped in at UPS as we had a gift from RJ y Rolly waiting for us. Thank you both for the nice gift basket…filled with lots of great things that Max will use.
I managed to squeeze in some zzzz and after that, I managed a quick (sorry about that) FaceTime with tío Terry y prima Sidney!! Glad they could meet Max and we will have a longer catch up session later.

Here are some previously unpublished and unseen fotos…from minutes after Max was born. They were sent to us by our midwife group, Bloom.
I remember the moment well…I had just been ushered into the ER and I see my gal with her arms shaking (side effect of the epidural) and the drug man says “bring your camera?”. Huh? No one mentioned that to me earlier and now it was too late. But really…how many fotos had I planned on taking there?
So Lisa, our m-w, took these and sent them to us today.
Two minutes after Max was born…he had already been given the thumbs up by the pediatrician.
Then they took him for some measurements…and clean up his first poop!! Ja ja ja

Looks like he was ready to sleep? We were all ready for a nap after our early day and running around. Did he sleep? NOPE!! Cheeky monkey!!
So Mum let me sleep and took Max out for his first turn at tummy time!!
Why it TT so important? It builds up some neck muscles and will help Max when it becomes time for him to learn how to roll over etc.
That and this is the position t surf in!! Hello!!
