Buenos tardes!! 330pm and it is post-alberca time. Internet is down and Bexico made the call to Telmex…but never sure when service will return. This entry will either be posted tonight from home, from Pucks or mañana.

Why from Pucks? If we have no internet, I won’t be able to stream the race, so I might head to Pucks and get it via satellite. They also have wi-fi…thus the possibility of posting from there? Entiendes? Understand?

And good thing I checked when the race was being held!! Ayer, I thought it was domingo…it is esta noche!!

We are waiting for a wash to finish and then we are off to an internet spot so Bexico can check her work emails. Long weekend for both Yanks y Canucks, so she does not expect to have much mail.

Awoke to a hazy morning which turned into some sunny breaks…that seemed to disappear as we headed to the pool!! Ja ja ja Currently hazy again…but better the lluvia!!

Talking about weather, here are our very own Huatulco statistics from junio.

The first half of the month was much hotter and had more humido. From primero de junio to el 15 de junio, we experienced average highs of 35.1 and lows of 26.9. Throw on another 10 degrees for the humido and la primero medio de junio (first half?) was almost exactly like mayo.

El 16 de junio to el 30 de junio was where we saw an immediate drop in temperature y humido. On average, we saw highs of only 31.2 and lows of 25.4.

Totales del mes (totals for the month)? Average highs of 32.8 and lows of 26.

And moving on to awarding the prize for guessing what this foto is.

We had a grand total of one guess, so Melon has won a free week of accommodation in Casa Bubba y Bexico!!

And from my email reply to him, clarifying what the foto is…

“It is the side of the camion de basura (garbage truck). One hombre hangs on back like they would in Canada, but then takes the long bolt (hanging by white rope) and bangs it on the piece of metal (hanging by yellow rope?).

Here comes the fun part. When you hear the very distinctive clanging...you run out with your basura and throw it in the truck. Too heavy? The hombre will assist. Hilarious to see these peeps running with the basura...kinda like kids running when they hear the ice cream truck.

Funnier? For 6 months I kept hearing this clanging and kept wondering what it meant. There is a propane truck that drives around, it makes a moooooing noise as its signal to come out and get some gas!!! Lol”

A free week of accommodation!! Felicidades!!! ja ja ja

Late start for us today…hey, it is sábado!!

Bexico joined me for the walk to Papaloapan where we scored on two more rib eyes. “Dos rib eye, medio kilo, cada uno por favor” seems to do the trick. Two rib eyes, half kilo each please.

Bexico then picked up the verdura, did some laps in the pool and went back to work.

El gimnasio was quiet, but good to see Yeu. He used to come to the gym and workout around media dia (noon) but I have not seen him lately.

Quick walk through town and you are caught up.

So far, here are the fotos for the day.

15 minutes can save you 15%....

Geico gecko?

The fleet is gassed and ready.

One of the more popular pollo roti. Maybe it is because they offer Kentucky?

Me gusta tu playera naranja!!

I like your orange shirt!!

Don’t be triste (sad).

This loader was not scooping up the perro after an accident.

The perro had decided the middle of the road was where he would nap.

Completo y acabado

Complete and finished.

Look, a mom using no hands.

Get it? Look mom…no hands? Ja ja ja Bromo mal? Bad joke?

And outside the verdura store.

Crates of chilis. Great to see that they are using the recyclable crates!!

415pm…off to the internet site.

530pm…home sin (without) internet. Argh.

But we have more fotos!!

Gato Negro y Blanco.

They are currently playing with (or being played with?) 4 niñas…and don’t seem to mind.

It doesn’t matter who you are, this is cute.

Look at its size compared to the bottle cap. It is a gatito…kitten.

One big perro.

A colorful tricycle.

Digging the papel de Navidad wrapped around the front!!

And last but not least.

We watched as the madre called her hijo over to help her move her basket of plátano macho across the calle.

Back home, I ended up looking up “kitten” to make sure it was gatito. Mistakenly flipped to español section of the Webster dictionary and guess what. There are only 4 palabra de español in this dictionary that start with the letter “k”. Karate, kilo/kilogramo, kilómetro y kilovatio. Who knew?

545pm and ensaladas are rolling. Will see how the night progresses and may end up at Pucks.

Stay tuned.

615pm…ta-da…internet is back and I have also locked into a HD stream…crystal clear and no freezing (knock on wood).

UPDATE

The networks are closing down channels...lost 2 already. Fingers crossed.

La cena in an hour or so.

Mañana? Cerdo hash para desayunos and Bubba’s chili para la cena!!

Have a great domingo everyone!!

Bubba y Bexico
