Buenos noches amigos.

8pm and we are waiting for the lomo cerdo to exit the horno…oven.

Sorry there was no blog update ayer. The day seemed to get away from me and the next thing I knew it was late night and I was pooped.

I have an abundance of fotos to make up for the missing update!!

First things first.

Check out this video.

I am not sure this is the size of niño that Bexico is hoping for…yikes!!

On a sad note, the man who made the Brady’s and Gilligan famous, has passed away. RIP Sherwood Schwartz.

Hey…it was either tell you about Sherwood or about the last strip club in Fredericton NB closing.

Our day started with two hours of clase. I ended up with a full on head ache as we continued to practice the nonsensical preterite verbos. But it eased off as we went into imperfecto verbs, which actually follow some rules, thus are easier to learn and remember.

And to fill in some blanks…preterite and imperfecto talk about the past, but preterite is a one time occurrence, while imperfecto is an ongoing occurrence.

Only 3 irregular verbos!! Yipee.

Take a look at the verb Ser…to be…not to be confused with Estar, also...to be.

In the present tense, soy, eres, es, somos and son.

In the preterite tense, fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos and fueron.

In the imperfecto tense, era, eras, era, éramos and eran.

Can you say headache? Dolor de cabeza...hurt of head.

Not hating…just stating!!

A two hour clase and we decided to not attend the lunch. We didn’t get the impact we and hoped for, and it screws up our schedule.

Despues de clase, we went on a quick roadtrip and guess what we found. Can you say recycling? Hello!!

We were told about a Fonatur yard where there was recycling and it is close to Senor Pucks. We have glass, plastic and tin recycling at the condo and now we can recycle paper and tetrapaks at the yard. Quite exciting and we will make great use of it.

After that excitement…off to Che for a quick stock up. Looks like burritos mañana and rib eyes on jueves. No sé about dinner on viernes o sábado, but it is definitely hamburguesa domingo!!!

Before we dropped the groceries off at home, we stopped off at the Casa de la Cultura to check out what time the prenatal yoga is held at.

The poster says 7-8pm, but the hombre in the oficina told Bexico it was actually 630-730pm.

Home and Bexico went to work on ejercicio and then into her oficina. Me? Off to el gimnasio.

Here is the weather we experienced for most of the day.

Overcast with only a few sunny breaks. But no lluvia!!

At el gimnasio, no Rosa and I have not met the timido senorita who is working the day shift. Great workout and ayer I had a good chat with Yeu who continues to work the afternoon/night shift.

Despues de gimnasio, I did my walk through town and a quick hola to Sergio, who was busy talking it up with one VERY old hombre.

Grabbed some plátanos and while waiting in line I asked the senora in front of me, what is the difference between what we call regular bananas (they call then Tabasco’s…the estado where they are grown?) and the chico (small) bananas. She told me the small ones are very sweet…rico.

Home for some alberca time…no sol today.

The day seemed to quickly get away from us and the next thing we know, it is time for ensaladas because Bexico needs to leave for yoga at  610pm.

We walked to yoga and here is Bexico outside the Casa de la Cultura.

This is both a before and after foto as the hombre this morning failed to mention that the maestra for the clase is away for a month!! Ja ja ja

Back home and we went back to surfing the web and working on contracts.

La cena…so good. I have been using the verbo comer…to eat, only to rediscover the verbo cenar…which means “to eat dinner”. I can say “yo ceno”…I eat dinner, vs “como la cena”…I eat dinner. Who knew?

920pm and we are watching some béisbol, the All Star game…while Bexico researches butter tart recipes!! Hello!!

Here are the rest of the fotos.

Bubba going sandia crazy?

On the way to watch Yeu play basketball, I came upon some birds.

There were 1000’s of them on the lines running across the street.

Just another tienda closing down.

Not everyone has seen anthills.

Or antnests (termites?) in trees.

Have seruccho…will travel....and work!!

And for you that were fascinated by the previous fotos of the camion de basura.

I saw a camioneta driving down the calle and thought I recognized someone.

That is the perro that sleeps in the middle of the road.

There was some local election yesterday.

Not sure who won…not sure if it will matter.

Where did this pile come from?

It is a muddy pile of stinky goo that these 5 hombres are dredging up.

Hombre #5 is deep in the hole…ugh.

The owner of this carro works out in el gimnasio.

Not sure why he does not park on the road like other peeps. What’s up with blocking the sidewalk and making all the madres and niños walk on the street to get around your carro? Mal educado…ruder!!

One of mi amigos is thinking of coming to Mexico and spending a few months exploring and playing his guitar.

Not sure if he will buy the shirt.

Don’t get me started.

And reminiscent of our time in TO.

A tamarindo, watching the construcción and doing nothing. If they had Timmy’s here, he would probably have a double double in his hand. Did I tell you how much Bexico is craving a d-d?

This is Gabriel the Owl and they have a hotel above them.

From the hotel room above, this is the water pouring out the sliding door.

Moments earlier, I saw a hombre get soaked and typical of Mexicans, he shrugged it off.

Those are all the fotos amigos.

As for our mañana? It will start with the 3 hour clase…ugh….followed by same old same old for our ejercicio. No pelicula of interest at the cine, but Bexico might be borrowing a DVD from our amiga Karen.

I have been busy working on the route home and we have a list of to-do’s to accomplish before we head norte…must stay organized.

Have a great miercoles all.

Marco y Bexico
