Hola amigos!! 730pm and Bexico is just finishing a Skype with RJ and then we are headed out for la cena…with umbrella as there has been a lot of thunder and the nube obscura have rolled in.

The rest of the day was overcast but a few sunny breaks occurred in the afternoon…just in time for Bexico to do some laps as I watched the Toronto Indy.

What else did I do while watching the Indy?

I spent my time translating and comparing these two websites and their lists.

We must get all this organized before we go back to Van as niño will be only a month old before we head back home to Mexico, and most immunizations start at the dos meses mark.

Neat to compare the two lists and see that there are a few items that are on each list, that are not on the other. And I even get to learn new palabras.

Sarampión…measles. Rubeola…rubella. Parotiditis…mumps.

I must thank mi amigo Daniel for the Mexico link!! We were chatting ayer about all this and today he sent me an email with the link. And he has offered us any help he can provide. It is one thing to not know where or how to get the internet  speed changed, fixed etc. It is another thing to not know where to get your niño's vaccinations!! Ja ja ja

And compliments of Daniel...in español, the sound is "Ou" and his name is Homero...not the "doph" sound making hombre we know as Homer. Hilarious!!

Ok…off to dinner…not much more to update upon our return. Hello yummy pizza!!

1045pm and we have been back for an hour plus. La cena was great…but they were out of Moretti. :(

Great pizza and Bexico had some A#1 lemonade to compliment her ensalada y calamari.

Some light rain on the way to the restaurante, but it is only a 5 minute walk so we were all good. Despues de la cena, we walked through town (sin lluvia) and said hola to the boys before heading to see if we could find out what time prenatal yoga is held at the Centro de Culturo.

The gates were locked and the lights off, so we will return mañana. Bexico is looking forward to the yoga, but the side benefit is meeting some locals and practicing español. How do you say “your show” in español? Ja ja ja
Came home after a very enjoyable walk (tons of peeps/families out and about) and have spent the past while researching routes back to Canada.

It is all about not having to spend a night in a town close to the border on the Mexican side. That means ideally I end up 2 hours or so from the border and bolt across early in the morning.

Straight norte looks like 39 hours of driving and gets me across in Nogales AZ, the same crossing we took coming down. Heading east and then norte, I can be in McAllen TX after 26 hours of driving, but then have 23 hours across Texas y Arizona before heading norte for Vegas. Via Nogales, Vegas is only another 8 hours away. Decisions decisions.

And to answer the “why are you driving back…are you nuts?” question…here are the reasons.

One, we need a vehicle in Vancouver for 3 months.

Two, we are picking up some goods in Portland and will also be bringing back another load upon our return to Huatulco.

Three, we cannot leave the truck here and bring down another vehicle as you are allowed to only have one foreign vehicle (per person). We could have one in Bexico’s name, but then she has to be present at the border and she is flying back, not driving.

Four, based on the state of the truck, we might trade it in for a newer model. It will be almost 12 years old and have over 200km’s on it by December.

Five…I like the drive? Nope!!! Ja ja ja

Ok gang, overall a tranquilo dia for me. Bexico was far more productive!! Up early for clase…5 more to go!!

Hasta luego amigos.

Marco y Bexico
