Hola amigos!!
In this snow storm, can you see un mano?
A hand?
And dos pies?
Two feet? Or at least the soles of the feet?
We met with the doctor and both madre y niño have been given a clean bill of health. We were told that the head is on the upper left side of Bexico, and niño has 12 more weeks to put on some cranial weight and will then shift naturally to the head down position.
So…we were excited to see some more development!! Also interesting to hear that business is down for our doctor. Ever since they opened the new, clean and modern infantile hospital, peeps have headed there because it is free.
Prior, a private delivery from a doctor like ours, was the best way to give birth and ensure proper care. Times are a changing.
As for the rest of our day…my day was per the norm and Bexico spent some time working, but is still low on energy due to this cold. But another bowl of the sopa de pollo sure helped!! The comedor was empty, but the abuelo was excited to see us again and was thrilled when Bexico told him in español, that the sopa was the best in all of Huatulco!!
As for la clima?
This was the weather above the montañas, but we had clear blue skies above La Crucecita for the whole day!! It was great…it meant we both had some alberca time…and I had a good float!! Needed some vitamin D…I was losing some color!! Ja ja ja
El gimnasio was empty again. I had a great workout, but have not seen any of mi amigos for a few days.
We had our appointment despues de gimnasio and then we went for a quick stroll through town. We picked out a restaurante to have lunch in, as on viernes we are hooking up with Karen y Randy, the owners and managers of Pucks.
We stopped in to say hola to Daniel and had another great chat. But again with the lemons and limes? Ja ja ja
We needed to feed the machine, so Bexico went to get the sopa started while I went to check out the cine for a possible noche de pelicula. I struck out. Nothing good and someone is waiting to watch all her Harry Potter movies before she sees the last one in the cine!!
Despues de sopa, pool time and then it was get ready for dinner time.
Meatballs (½ molida res y ½ molida cerdo) and some pasta and mañana we will finish them off…on some fresh French stick.
Fotos for the day.
Stu?
And I thought our camioneta had a suspension issue.
Here is one of mi favorito hombres in La Crucecita.
Mi gusto mucho his dapper attire and he has the face of a loving abuelo (grandfather). I have never seen him make a sale, but today was the day. He sells knick knacks…toothpaste, sewing items etc.
Huatulco has talent?
For Terry….some re-bar.
It is a legendary story that Mexicans do not finish their casas, so they do not need to pay taxes on the building…because it is not completed. Ask the locals and some nod in agreement and some laugh at the tale.
Estafeta...translates to post office
It is a courier company here in Mexico, with the whole concept being new to most Mexicans. Here is their USA website.
Just three amigos.
And last but not least, these would be some touristas (Chilangos) buying coco frio from a VERY old and hard working hombre.
Here is wikipedia’s info on Chilangos…not a term I use often.
Our jueves? I need to follow up with Nissan. This is where being sure of your language skills comes in handy. I called them this morning and talked to Carlos. Oh Marco…amigo con tanque!! Sí Carlos….
Anyway, it dawned on me that we did not order a new filtro de gasolina and the old one would have been nasty after the sludge y agua. So I ask Carlos if we need one, he says sí…but I am not sure we communicated clearly that he or Tony needs to order one. Ugh…back to Nissan. But it should be quick (otra $20 pesos taxi though) and maybe I can look at the tanque.
Bexico is hoping to feel well enough to do her ejercicio and then hit the oficina where she has another possible contract…from an expat Canadian living in China.
We have 7 weeks until we hit the road and here is our to do list:
-comprar washer/dryer for B10
-FM3 inmigracion
-confirm cleaners for B10 y G10
-move
-get Telmex terminated in G10 and started in B10
-confirm route norte through Mexico
Ah, the retired life.
That’s it amigos…you are caught up.
Hasta mañana.
