Buenos noches amigos!! The evils of sábado have disappeared and we are onto domingo!!
What a way to wake up!! I was happy to see some emails from mi amigos. One that says “sorry about the tough day…but stop your whining…you live in Mexico!!”…ja ja ja...he is so right!! And there were 3 or 4 emails with offers of help or suggestions about what might be wrong with the truck.
I wrote them all down and have translated them as well. Can you say sensor de flujo de masa? Mass flow sensor. Or fallar? Misfire. Or la bujía? Sparkplugs. Better yet, inyectores de combustible? Fuel injectors.
Locally, Daniel emailed to tell me he and Sergio had discussed our camioneta issue and Sergio was willing to drive me around and show me where he knows two mecanico that should have the engine code scanner needed to conduct a diagnostico inspection on the truck.
All of you…muchos gracias!!
Daniel and Sergio (and Lalo when he lives here) are great help. Daniel has offered to help us once niño is here….the shots etc. He is also quite a funny hombre as he LOVES peliculas and we banter back and forth about movies. He sent me an email and called something “fanny”, meaning to type “funny” and then emailed back correcting himself. In español, he told me the two words are VERY different. I looked it up and he is so CORRECT!!! Ja ja ja
And of course he was the one to correct me. Homer Simpson is Homero and he says doh....not doph.
Our day? It started out as L.I.B.D., but we got up and had some great pancakes. Follow that by 3 hours of watching cars go around in ovals (Nascar) and who needs more on a domingo?
The weather had been overcast for the morning, but ta-da…this is what happened around mid day.
The first glimpse of blue sky y el sol, in 4 days.
And when the sun comes out, out comes Gato Negro.
And what did he/she see coming?
The clomper, and its owner.
Bexico!! She was off to buy some verdura and take out the garbage and the trash, so she could get some stinking cash. Yakity yak.
And soon she was joined by a niño.
This niño lives in one of the condos with his abuela…grandmother. According to the niño, the gato is HIS amigo!!
Bexico came home and took a dip. Brrrrr. No sun for several days means the ducha de alberca (pool shower) is cold and the pool was as well.
Finished the race…congrats Ryan Newman…and then we took a taxi to Senor Pucks to return the DVD and inspect la camioneta. Still there….with all 4 tires as well!!
The truck did not start and I looked at the mass flow sensor but it did not look dirty…it might just need to be replaced. Hopefully they figure that out mañana. With my co-pilot steering, we pushed it the 300 metros to Nissan and it is now ready for mañana, and I plan to be there bright and early.
I will just have to tell Raphael that it died, but that I will come to him for the oil change etc.
We walked home…wow was it warm. Not stinking hot like mayo, but thank goodness we brought along the 1.5 litro bottle of agua con hielo!!
And can you believe we stopped at Che and grabbed some frozen yogurt for you know who?
Our night was a mix of tv, movies, surfing the web, some work and of course hamburguesa domingo!!
Bexico had her 7pm Skype and I just finished an iChat with mis padres…everyone is excited about niño!!
Mañana…Project Nissan and el gimnasio.
Bexico is about to become very busy again. She has one new client who LOVES the 5 characters she drew for them, and asked if she could complete more work proxima semana…next week. The 5 characters were a 2011 version of the characters of A Christmas Story…really neat and you will find them on her blog in the near future.
She also had an unsolicited email asking if she was interested in 19 pictures for a kids book!!
Her monkey film is done and she awaits the revisions (if there are any) and she continues to work on her second animation, one that includes a chihuahua!! And she is also waiting on two other clients who are bad at responding to emails in a timely fashion. Hopefully they will contact her this week so she can close those contracts…and get paid!!
Have a great lunes all!!
Marco y Bexico
