Hola all. Mom and dad "to be" are pooped today. Rough night for sleeping and then up early for migracion…means we are pooped now.

Not complaining…but maybe explaining why their might be some typos. Ja ja ja

Our day…

Up early and into Santa Cruz for 9am…when Migracion is supposed to be open. But nope…regresan en media hora we were told by security. Media dia? Noon? Nope…media hora…thirty minutes.

So we went to Café Juanita to do our book exchange. Two for one and we brought in 14 paperbacks and picked up 7 new titles.

Back to Migracion and the security guard is now carrying a side arm and a machine gun. They have upgraded security since the “mall cops” they had there in September. Hmmmm.

The oficina has been rearranged and our amiga Sandra is no longer there…she is in Oaxaca now.

Still no real system to track the order of peeps walking in…just the honor system and we were happy that we were next in line at 935am.

We asked our questions in español and were given the answers in español.

It looks like we follow an almost identical procedure to get a new FM3 as we did to get our first. But at least this time we were given a lista of all the items and some specific verbiage needed in our letters.

With our cards expiring 21 de septiembre, the senorita was VERY adamant that we not return antes (before) 21 de agosto!! We might come in a week early as we need the cards before Sept 14, when Bexico and I leave town.

And yes, we will need to go back to the oficina and wait in line to get níno a FM3!! Booooo.

Here are our Santa Cruz fotos.

Fonatur workers putting the sand back on the beach.

All because of the grande olas the playa here experienced.

This is the Iglesia.

Note the outdoor seating to the right.

And here is smiling Bexico.

This next senorita was selling jello type treats.

We saw kids, parents and taxi drivers eat them…must be good!!

This is Café Juanita.

Book exchange and 4 or 5 small tables upstairs.

This is an area where they hold community events.

Santa Cruz is where the cruise ships dock and where the main fishing docks are and is only a 5 minute drive from La Crucecita.

Despues de migracion, we hit up Che and then it was home time. Bexico had a good siesta and I went to the gym. I had to be home for 2pm as we were meeting Roman at B10 to review the work completed.

Gym was gym. A few familiar faces but overall it was a workout with a few conversations with Rosa interspersed.

We talked about her son Juan Manual, about hotels in DF (Mexico City) for when Bexico flies to Van and back home, her 3 hour reunion ayer and how I booked the flights for Bexico y níno.

We both feel my español has come along, but we might be neglecting her ingles. I think we need to buy her a book and let her work her way through it. She seems to have so much on the go and I am not sure how excited she is to have another book to read…in ingles let alone!!

Came home and had a quick shower, only to go meet Roman at B10 and review the work in a 35 degree condo!! Lol

All the work is completed, except for the appliance pick up and install of the w/d. Roman has been kind enough to offer storage for the small fridge. That is great as we had no idea where to put it. And let me tell you…we are SO excited to have a bigger fridge!!

Here are fotos of the work that is now completed.

Door sweep.

New 30 amp breaker so the w/d does not trip the micro and vice versa

Hot water connection for the w/d.

New hot water tap for w/d

New outlet...just for w/d

Brace under the counter and counter straightened.

Door knob for upstairs bano.

Folding doors between main bedroom and entry to the loft. These are critical as otherwise the a/c from the bedroom would just go to the loft and then into the rest of the condo.

Add the screen door and mailbox and we are at approx. $9500 pesos...only $815 CDN for all that work. Our landlords are paying for all that work and we paid for the bed extension.

After our pow-wow with Roman, it was alberca time and then it was time to get organized!! I have stuff everywhere today.

I talked with Lalo and he suggested a hotel. Muy caro and the reviews on line were not stellar, so I booked us a hotel in the same area, but cheaper, it looks nicer and has better reviews.

Here is a link to it.

So our plan is to leave early lunes for the 8 hour, 450km drive!! Yikes.

Lalo is going to give us some guided tours and there should be lots of fotos. We have Walmart and Home Depot on the agenda, plus a few large malls…looking for a cuna and some more pregger clothes!!

We will return viernes.

Bexico did some oficina work…applying for some contracts and doing some email. We also had a quick iChat with mis padres…thanking them for picking up Bexico from the airport when she arrives in Vancouver in September!! Gracias mis padres!!

Then it was la cena…burritos con queso cheddar!! We are down to about 1.5 kilos left…road trip!!

The rest of the night was spent google searching Acapulco as well as writing this blog entry.

1045pm and here are the fotos from the rest of the day.

Another free hand sign painter.

This is a sock hombre getting mentally prepared for the day.

Mi amigo Elder and his Ferrari aka Nissan.

He loves that car!!

Muy difícil Daniel.

I called his name a few times but he would not look over to have his picture taken. Once I told him he was muy difícil…very difficult, he smiled oreja to oreja!!

Can you say epidural? Ja ja ja

Our mañana? El gimnasio and then home. No Mojon plans this weekend. We do have the Canucks on at 7pm and will stay home and stream it via the net.

Buen fin de semana amigos.
