Buenos Noches all!!

Fotos from anoche at Pucks.

The patio

Not so busy for game 1. But remember...we might be two of 10 Canadians still in Huatulco at this time of year.

The pool table on the ceiling

The bar with hockey on the television.

The bar with soccer on the television.

Torres shoots…Torres scores...Canucks win!!!

Bexico indulging on a ensalada caesar con pollo.

Karen...gracias por el descuento!!

And now for our jueves. Great day, lots done…but the heat is taking it’s toll. Looking forward to the cool 34’s again!! Ja ja ja

Amazing how much more energy you have when you drive to the gym vs walk!! I did pass Daniel from Fonatur and I think he is getting tired of all the cereal bars I am handing him!! The ones you know who no longer likes!! Ja ja ja.

Actually I am sure Daniel appreciates them, but has his pride too. I make sure I only give him stuff every now and then. Now the boys at the gate are something else!! Bring on the saladitas, cereal bars and bottles of Coke!! Ja ja ja

Not much happening at the gym, but had a great workout.

Rosa had to leave at 1230pm for a “reunion”…a meeting. So look who stepped in to watch the show…and play solitaire.

This is Rosa’s hijo Juan Manuel…huge Cruz Azul soccer fan and a joven who speaks no ingles. Bizarro.

Despues de gimnasio, the usual walk through town. But I did make a side trip and ended up in these two tiendas.

The one to the right is a muebles tienda and I went in looking to see if they sold cunas (crib). No luck but I think they said they could order a metal one or one made of madera, wood.

The store to the left is full of ropa de senoritas (and some abuelas..ja ja ja). I looked in from the sidewalk and was invited in. On all my walks through town, I am always on the look out for ropa para mi novia. She needs some pregger clothes and they are not easy to find.

I went into the tienda and explained the situation and was promptly shown a “tent”…no gusta (no like) quickly came out of my mouth as there is NO WAY Bexico wants to be seen in a tent!! Lol

Next dress was a nice color and I told the senorita I might return con mi novia.

Then it was onto Gabriel’s to say hola to Daniel. Moises y Samuel were also there…so hola to all.

It was a quick chat as it was tiempo para la comida…lunch. And look how Daniel gets his lunch.

Handed to him via restaurante de Vicky…his madre!!

Headed home and Bexico was out at Yogis looking for some shorts that will fit her and then she was headed to pick up the veggies.

I headed out to see if I could get her to the tienda de ropa before they closed for siesta and managed to catch up with her despues de Yogi’s…she was chatting up Daniel as he ate his hot cakes postre (dessert)!!

We went back to the store and Bexico did like the colors…not so much the style. But we did find another one that she liked so we bough that. We understood most of what the senorita said, but not all. We did laugh after, as having a bunny in the oven seems to be a free pass to touch Bexico’s belly!!

We stopped at a hole in the all torta stand and for $15 pesos, Bexico had a great torta con pollo and I had the $10 peso coca light!! We have walked past this spot numerous times and today was the day where we decided to give it a go, and it was worth every peso.

Veggie pick up…low stock so Bexico will head back mañana.

We came home and antes (before) our alberca time, I got on the MagicJack and called Aeroplan. Not too complicated to book a pregnant woman from Mexico to Vancouver, a little more complicated to book Bexico back to Mexico con un-named and not born níno.

At the end of the chat and 40,000 points later (5000 for níno), we have the tickets booked. Once we are three, we will just call Aeroplan and have them change the name on the return ticket from Miss Baby Vanderleeden (currently that is actually what is on the ticket) to whatever our nínos name is. And NO…we do not know if it is a hija o hijo!!

Off to alberca time and then ensaladas, surfing the web and then I had pizza para la cena (no nitrates for Bexico…pepperoni) and Bexico did the jacket potato thing.

Here are the rest of the fotos from today.

I cannot remember the name of the fruits these two hombres are selling.

Hoy’s blog was brought to you by the color naranja.

And the last one was a bonus BONICE foto!!

I never get tired of taking fotos of the hombres selling the muebles de pino.

Check out the direction this moto is travelling…and check out the arrow on the road.

This is the 3rd time I have seen Fonatur repair the potholes by el gimnasio.

At least this time they were using some cement in the mix!!

Same Fonatur guys on lunch.

They all take their break at 1pm and except for Daniel who eats cereal bars (lol), they all have a kilo of tortillas that they share.

The sandia hombres from ayer (yesterday) have been joined by the mango hombres.

Níno fotos.

Wow…that is a lot of hair for a new born!!

Níno on a moto.

They do love their limons here!!

And the little hombre was doing his part to help his madre!!

And the grande camion (truck).

It is carrying new garrafon (jugs) de agua and the colored caps that each different water company uses.

Just a foto from near the zocalo.

I liked the peeps sticking their heads out the sun roof.

And last but not least…a bici.

Look at the size of the back tire this guy has installed!!

MISC

Compliments of Daniel (gracias amigo), here is a link to a YouTube video taken from Tangolunda (hotel zone 10 minutes away), about 3 years ago.

Floatie #1 update…it is in the basura (trash). It was used almost every day for 8 months…good use. R.I.P.

Chatted with Lalo today. He is in Acapulco and at first he did not know who was calling him. I didn’t recognize his voice either, but once he heard my spanglish…it was “hola Marco!!”.

He is looking into hotels for us and sounds pretty excite for us to visit his hometown. Other then the cliff divers, I do not know much about Acapulco, so we are excited to experience a new city. Great to have a tour guide as well!!

Not firm yet, but we hope to drive up on lunes and return on viernes. That gives us 3 full days to see the sights and hit up some malls and the Walmart!!

Long drive (8 or 9 hours) and we will need to stop to ensure Bexico keeps the blood circulating…and hopefully not need to empty the yellow bucket!!

And here is a super-cool story that was in the Toronto Star.

Toronto Star

Our mañana? Up early to get to migracion and then we will stop at Café Juanitas to pick up some more reading material. Based on history…the oficina de migracion might take a few hours just to get information!!

We will pit stop at Che…hmmm…what shall we have para la cena? And then will hit the gym and I am sure Bexico will do her DVD workout as well.

Mojon? Not sure. Need to buy a rake!! Maybe sábado.

Have a great viernes!!

Bubba y Bexico
