9pm on Saturday night here in Huatulco.

Canucks are behind 2-1 at the end of the 2nd period…not worried!! But what is up with Rome taking those penalties?

Our day…el gimnasio, a walk through town, chatted up Daniel y Sergio (fresh from his surgery, alberca time, leche time for Gato Negro and then a very quick walk to get some fresh pan and a red pepper for la cena.

I tell you…the 15 minute walk poops you out in this heat. And no point in showering before you go…you need otra shower upon your return.

Bexico did her ejercicio at home and then did some drawing and oficina work.

El gimnasio? When everyone you know from the gym is there at the same time…crazy!! Tough to work out as peeps want to say hola and catch up. Today it was Fermin, Hector, Mario who I haven’t seen in months and then Galdino…and I cannot forget Rosa!!

Hector makes me laugh as he understands ingles, but has some opportunities when he speaks it. I can hardly understand him, yet he wants to practice…or maybe he thinks it is easier for me? I do understand his español more then his ingles.

Good workout, a shorter one for day 6. Happy to see there is a gm at the hotel in Acapulco. Maybe it has a/c? ja ja ja

The town was tranquilo as I walked to Gabriels. There I had the full update on the surgery, including the details regarding appendicitis surgery in Mexico. I guess the hospital in Pochutla has dos sala de operacion and one was out of commission so there was a back log.

Lots of senoritas go there to have their babies and the doctors consider two lives more important then one…so Sergio had to wait a full day for his operation.

He is back at work after taking a few days off, but he has low energy, no hunger and is tender. Sounds exactly like my appendicitis 20 years ago…except I was operated on right away and had 3 weeks off work…paid.

Here are the fotos for the day.

Our lil’amigo from anoche (last night).

I hope he gets the mosquito that has managed to gain entry to the condo..and has already had his fill with me!!

I saw this madre y abulea walking and it made me think.

We need to be able to walk around town with níno, but be able to keep them shaded and cool at the same time. And then it came to me!!

What do you think? The BONICE níno stroller!!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Can you say GOOOOOOOOOAL? 11 seconds into OT and Burrows scores the winner. Sweeeeeet!! Only two more wins  (5 games left) and the Stanley Cup will be Vancouver’s!! Wow.

And ta da…end of regulation and we are headed to OT!! Great goal by Sedin ties it up!!

Back to the fotos.

Socks and shoes.

I swear they come out in teams.

Two fotos involving cement trucks.

This truck is being refurbished.

And another one left a pile of cement on the road for these laborers to haul into the restaurante and then upstairs. Think about it...16 litro pails in 40 degree heat.

This camioneta makes deliveries to many places.

I don’t think Cañada is Canada.

I loved this hand made sign!!

It states that trespassing is a crime and you pay with jail. And then it says don’t drop your trash there. There is a large problem with people just throwing their garbage where ever they feel like it.

This is the iguana and balloon hombre.

Note the way the zapateria displays it's zapatos.

And last but not least…otra undershirt hombre.

Después de tiempo de alberca, I did spend quite a bit (hee x3) of time surfing the web, looking for flights to Mex City and back as well as a Mex City hotel in the airport.

Bexico will need to fly to Mex City, spend the night and then fly to Van the next day and on her return, she will fly into Mex City con níno, spend a night and then fly into Huatulco the next day.

Hilton looks like a good choice in Mex City…we want her to stay in the airport as no need to save a few bucks and get on a shuttle that takes her 5 km away…especially on the way home con níno.

As for the flights, it looks like Interjet might be the way to go, but I cannot seem to use their website today. Amex sale might be affecting the site…but we will need to talk to someone regarding 1 person flying out and 2 returning.

Went on another site (Aeromar) and they had a great deal…$500 pesos each way. Then they add $500 in impuestos

My third attempt and the discount airline (Vivaaerobus) looks like the best deal…but it won’t allow me access to return dates in December!! It’s website currently ends in November. Ja ja ja. Welcome to Mexico!!!

Mañana? Pancakes para desayunos!! What a way to start the day!! NASCAR starts at 11am and somewhere in the day I need to hit up Elektra (check in), Che (they have an Interjet agent that works out of the tienda), Pemex (gas up before we hit the road on lunes) and of course alberca time!! And cannot forget to pack!

I will also spend some time ensuring we are ready for the drive on lunes. I need to print off some city maps for Acapulco. Easy to get to the city…tough to find your way around.

Weather today was sunny and hot…weather forecast for Acapulco is similar. Our current Acapulco plan is to hang out with Lalo on martes and then do our shopping on miercoles y jueves.

Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Home Depot and some malls!! Ja ja ja. Now…about avoiding the McD’s and KFC’s!! lol

After living in the small town, it will be interesting to see what we really do return with.

La cena de mañana? Lomo de cerdo again!!

Have a great domingo!!
