Well…we survived the drive to Acapulco and both of us being ill!! It is 9pm and we have just finished la cena and are getting ready for our early morning departure.

This trip was more of a shopping trip and if we do come back, we would like to spend some time in old Acapulco vs the tourist section. Where we stayed is nice, but things are spread out and there is nothing of real interest to see in this area.

We saw some 1929 photos of Acapulco and it looked like it was a neat time to visit and experience the culture.

Our dinner was down stairs in the hotel’s restaurant. We didn’t feel like adventuring out and we had a $280 peso credit available. ¿Por que the credit? Parking is $280 for the 4 nights and they give it back to you in restaurent credits.

Good eats as Bexico loved both her sopa and salad and I too had a good French onion sopa y una rib eye!! Great service too…which doesn’t always happen.

Over all, we recommend the Fiesta Americana Villas…just get some internet into the rooms!! Ja ja ja

Our day was a shopping day and it pooped both of us out. Bexico was feeling much better today, but the heat and walking got to her, while I am still fighting this summer cold. Not complaining…just explaining.

Desayunos at VIP, a restaurante owned by Walmart. Good eats and then Bexico went to her first mall and I had the camioneta gassed up, hit Sam’s Club for some misc items and then managed to find Home Depot. Not bad driving for this gringo!!

Found some good bath towels and whole black pepper at Sams and at Home Depot it was all about an exhaust vent for the secadora as they just don’t carry these in Huatulco. Also picked up a small ceiling light as B10 has a few dangling lightbulbs.

Ten minutes late in retrieving Bexico and we walked to the mall that Lalo said was big. We must remember other peeps perspectives. Maybe this mall is big to him. To us it was a small and old mall. Nothing for us and we were gone in 15 minutes.

Off to the next stop and the walk was slow and steady. Traffic does not normally stop for pedestrians…but bring along a pregger mujer and it works miracles!! Ja ja ja

This next mall was bigger and better, but our only purchase here was some electronics. We ended up buying some connections so we can hopefully hook up our Mac to the new TV and watch our Canucks on the big screen!! Stay tuned to see if it works.

Now we were tired…but not too tired to go back to Walmart for a third time!! And we did well on this last trip. Some great outfits for Bexico at ½ the price we would have paid for them at the other mall.

But enough is enough and we are done shopping for at least 3 months!!

Mañana we are up early and once we get out of the city, we are sure of our way home.

Have a great Friday all….is it Dia de los Padres on domingo?

Hasta mañana folks.
