Buenos noches mis amigos.

In all his glory...all 67cm and 8,75 kilos.

Back in Maple Ridge BC...felicidades to Jackson for cleaning the clocks of some niños and winning two trophies!!

Did I mention the Mexican elections are happening soon? They are making headlines everywhere. Click HERE to see the Toronto Star’s coverage.

Onto serious business…a great day here.

Early rising Max and I had our cereal together and chatted up the Cuban revolution and what his thoughts about Castro were.

We then slinged up and went for our walk where we had a great chill’lax in the parque. Then it was home to eat and sleep. There isn’t a morning that I bring the lil’hombre home and he isn’t both famished and sleepy. A perfect combination for his first nap!!

I toughed it out and headed to the gym, much earlier then normal and it was a small relief from the heat.

We were back to a sunny day, and then at 4pm or so the nube rolled in. No lluvia yet…stay tuned.

Currently 925pm and Max has rolled 270 degrees but is still asleep, and Bex has just finished a Skype with her San Diego client. Good news on that work front as she keeps getting offers to “interview” for projects, and the San Diego client likes her work so much, he told her he has more if she has the time. Cha ching.

Max is hilarious…and almost ready to crawl, walk and maybe run!! He is spending most of his waking moments lifting his butt up and down in a very personal way. The lil’humper just makes us laugh and smile all the time.

We had a stand that went into his tina, something he could rest his back on when we bathed him. Adios to that as all he wants to do is now lay on his tummy.

He has been rubbing one eye a lot today and it does look red, but we cannot tell if that is an infection or from the rubbing. We will look at it again mañana and if need be…hola to Dr. Carillo.

Back to the day.

After the gym it was a quick stroll though town and a catch up with Daniel. He seems stressed as the tourist season is coming to a close and it will be some VERY lean months until noviembre o diciembre.

He has not paid the $$ for the fridge shelf…double checking to make sure it is the right one. And he is waiting to hear back from his amiga, the nurse. Stay tuned.

Headed home and then off to Fonatur, Nissan y Che. Carlos was confused about the lack of chelas on sábado. Huh? We did not confirm I told him, and that meant I had la cena con Randy y Karen.

He saw us at Pucks and I guess he though maybe I had skipped our beers. Not so I confirmed with him and then made some plans for this weekend.

Viernes, he is going to skip his comida and we are going to Santa Cruz to watch the boats bring in the big pescado. There seems to be a fishing derby going on and Carlos thinks I need to see this and get some fotos.

Sábado…the pool party is postponed and instead Carlos is going to try and round up Tony and we are all going to some local fiesta. Traditional ropa y baile (dancing) I am told…great, 2 Mexican hombres and a guy with dos pies izquierda!! Ja ja ja

I am going to enjoy and take fotos…no dancing for this hombre.

So Carlos is good and then off to Che where they seem to have stopped selling Max’s brand of pañale. Doph…off to Issste mañana!! Good score on some of mi padres favorite lomo cerdo and we had that para la cena.

Headed home where I found madre had been doing some severe multi tasking…dos ojos on Max and dos manos cleaning.

I sent her to the pool while Max had nap #3 and we joined her after he woke up. Time for some new pool tricks as the dunking has become old hat for Max and he likes to keep the act fresh. Stay tuned.

Max was tired…hello to a little chest nap action for the two of us!! And then the rutina started up and at 8pm…lights out.

And you are all caught up.

Mañana? Behind schedule on Max’s FM3…they wouldn’t deport such a cute niño…would they? Just kidding!! He has until mid-June on his current papers. But I will get my butt in gear and get on it.

But…I think I recall that mañana might be a beach day…stay tuned!!

Fotos.

Amy (pronounced Aw-me) and Victor, the agua Vitel hombres...who I now see everywhere in town. And got to know mi madre so well...they would say hola to her too!!

That foto was taken at the CP gate while I was on the early walk con Max. Victor was timido, not wanting his foto taken...not so for the next foto taken while I was walking to el gimnasio.

This hombre has one job. At the newly installed handicap ramps, he paints the outline of the wheelchair black. An otra hombre paints the rest of the square either yellow o azul.

Best dressed carpintero I have ever seen.

And a rarity...fotos con flash.

Max truly enjoying the juguete/teether that was given to him by his tío Stuart.

Not sure this last foto was ever posted. Max on one of his very first excursions out of the home....sin madre. The hombre holding Max is tío Stuart.

Have a great miercoles!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
