Happy Mother’s Day…Feliz
Día de las Madres!!
What a way to start the
day!! Max was not happy at 6am…but was still asleep. At the time, I did not
know what the bad dream was about, but I scooped him up, gave him a few minutes
of rocking and lay him down…on my chest.
Can you say 90 minute
chest nap!! And at 745am when he opened his ojos, he was a new niño…and anxious
to get the day started.
So we followed the morning
rutina and he wolfed back all of his desayunos. It was during this time that we
discussed his bad dream, his mal sueño.
In his dream, Pudge y Bono
had made plans with Max to go out for burgers and hot dogs and when it came
time to go, Max had been asleep so they went without him. That would have been
enough to make me unhappy as well, so we talked through it and duh, he realizes
the two monkeys would never leave the third monkey behind!!
Slinged up and went for a
long walk, with our pit stop being the campo de futbol. Max loves watching all
the peeps in the grandstand and today an hombre came over to say hola and chat
us up.
And moments later the same
hombre said hola to a hombre Max and I see everyday on our walk. The second
hombre works in the Carabela motorcycle shop down the street from Yamaha.
The break did not last
long as Max’s clock was ticking and he needed leche y his nap.
Home and we woke up madre
and passed off the lil’oven. He was hot today.
He passed out and madre
received her 2nd set of Día de las Madres regalos…this one was a
parasol for her walks con Max.
Time for our brunch and
the cerdo hash, for all it’s work, was worth all the time and sweating.
Bubba snuck in a siesta
and then Max and I got ready for Santa Cruz, to go see the end of the big
fishing torneo.
Only a 5 minute drive, we
found some sweet parking and saw 1000’s of peeps already there. Just as we were
entering the dock area, the music from the stage kicked in and it was LOUD!!
Way too loud for Max so we backed away quickly and tried to find a different
route through the crowds.
We were making slow
progress but Max let me know it was just not his cup of tea. Ok mi lil’hombre,
we turned around and headed back home.
Bex was super and took
over and I went back to take some fotos. Too crazy a place for me…it was one 6
pack away from becoming either a huge love in, or a huge MMA match between
fishermen.
Lets just say there were a
lot of Modelos (cerveza) going around…and a ton of policia as well. A great
recipe for fun if everyone stays cool. I will walk by the jail mañana and see
how the night turned out!!! Ja ja ja
When I came home it was
cloudy and cooler…perfect time for the alberca. We had the place to ourselves
for the fist 30 minutes and then were joined by 6 Mexicans who seemed to be
enjoying a weekend.
Upstairs after a while and
the night rutina started. Currently 745pm and madre is draining the tanques and
knock on wood, Max will be zzzz very shortly.
Great Mother’s Day burgers
and some McCain French fries too.
Mañana? Expect to hear
from Roman and we will set up a meeting time. I also need to type out the letters
for Max’s FM3. I guess all of you can tell how excited I am about going back to
inmigracion!! Ja ja ja
Fotos from our walk.
Lots of turismo buses in town.
Perro, with a side of tortillas!!
Not sure what this hombre is carrying...but it is big.
Across from the campo de futbol, Huatulco's own West End.
In Santa Cruz...tons of peeps.
On the stage was a banner showing all the prizes available.
One of many fish...I think this is a sailfish.
Tough to fish in this outfit.
Biggest sailfish was 42 kilos.
I think everyone is taking fotos of the fish...yeah right. Note the hombre has vitiligo...I have seen several peeps here with the same skin condition.
Hope you had a great fin
de semana and have a great lunes.
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
