Año Nuevo 2012

We started today’s blog entry with 2 fotos from our Fin de Año bonfire.

So after hitting the sack at 2am, Max was fussy at 5am. He was given some leche and then the two of us hoofed it next door and he slumbered (whimpering sleep) on my chest until 9am.

Then it was up and at’em time and remained that way at least until noon.

My desayunos de Año Nuevo was switched up as some “creatures” had gotten into my box of pancake mix. Argh. Oh well. We will probably take a walk to Che today and replenish our cocina.

Misc fin de mes info. The average temperatures for diciembre were a high of 31.1 and a low of 23.9 this year vs 29.9 and 21.2 last year. It has been a warmer diciembre.

Satellite update? We have found a car next door that advertises the local satellite company, Dish. The car has a ladder on the roof, so I am thinking this might be an installer. We have written out a note and will leave it on the car, hoping for success. If not…adios to $2500 pesos!! Stay tuned.

5pm and we have had a tranquilo day. Mismo (same) as the centro de La Crucecita. These fotos are from up and down calle Bugambilia, normalmente one of the busier streets on town.

The town is sooo quiet with many shops closed (muy raro) and it seems like most of the nationals have headed back to their part of Mexico.

But some people still need to make a living.

And yes, this Corona bar was open as well.

No direct translation for Chicano…I leave it up to your imagination!!
So for our tranquilo day, Max and I took another siesta together and Bexico went on a cleaning frenzy, organizing the closets she shares with Max’s ropa and cleaning up his cuna/change room. It looks good in there!!

And she put together one of the two IKEA (Swedish for will never be able to take apart and use in your other condo) storage boxes…a steal at $10.

After the siesta I had a short float and caught up with Frank. He likes to talk.

We then headed to a very quiet and empty Che, grabbed some supplies including a furniture oil for our mesa nueva. No big scores, turned down the $65 peso bolsa de M&Ms!!

Home and here we are.

La cena is some home made chili con…and then tranquilo domingo continues.

No big plans for mañana…back to my regular ginmasio!! I prepared a few questions for my return…¿ha tiendo unas buenas vacaciones?

Bex has sent off her finished project to Australia, has a small image project for a client in Seattle, and then we will see what else comes her way.

Hope everyone survived their Fin de Año!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
