Max y Poppa. Note the two different shoe colors? We were 1/2 way dressed in the reds when Max asked to where blue. No problem...ta-da. When I finished tying the 2nd shoe up and asked him what he thought, this big grin spread across his face and he ran to show his madre.
Well....that was the wackiest noche we might have ever had. Bex and I used another word to describe it and it starts with the capital "F". Ouch.
We had a great bed time...maybe that was a signal? Max was asleep in his cuna by 815pm and then all was tranquilo until 930pm when he stirred and needed help falling asleep.
It is my role to answer these calls from Max, but after several attempts, he requested his madre. He had madre y leche and was back asleep by 10pm.
Awake again at 1030pm and after some rocking and even trying to get him to sleep in the big bed, it was time to call Bex again.
Bex shut down her oficina and took over night watch and she had a few more wake ups, including an attempted 447am wake up. Ahhhhhh....no.
There was some leche y rocking and after Max fell asleep, I think madre passed out from exhaustion!!
I woke at 710am and the familia was still asleep...for 10 more minutos. Bex went back to sleep and the boys took over. During desayunos, I asked Max why he could not sleep last night and he told me it was because of his sore legs.
Waaaay too much swimming, bicing and jumping...so we are taking it easy today.
But....due to the waaaaay late wake up, we have had a late siesta and have decided to do something we have never done before. To ensure Max gets to sleep tonight at a decent time, we are going to wake him up at 130pm, in 20 minutos.
Otherwise we are worried that he will sleep until 2 or 230pm...yikes. Stay tuned.
The boys had their usual morning, tranquilo time and the huge desayunos. Madre normally cuts the fruta for us and we are welcomed by a plato in the fridge, but due to last night's adventura, the boys were on their own.
Max seemed to enjoy eating pieces that his Poppa was cutting right off the pera y otra frutas.
After clean up it was time for a prowl and then into the camioneta verde to drop off more recycling, drop off a regalo for Tony's hija (4th cumpleaños) and then onto Soriana.
And Max was super well behaved!! Full o'energia and running the aisles, but he stayed within eye sight and did not need to touch too many items or open too many freezer doors!!
We had planned on a later excursion and we were home at 1130am for leche libros and siesta.
All caught up and with Max about to have 15 minutos more siesta time...onto the fotos.
Due to the timing of our desayunos, for quite a while we have not been out on a prowl during sprinkler time. Max was pretty excited about seeing them again.
Trying to touch the water without getting his tenis wet.
Hey, it worked for the mano...lets try the face. Oh Max!!
Dude...close the gates so lil'man can walk by safely!!
Staying in the sombra, we were cutting through the very crowded comedor economico section of the tiangus, when Max plopped himself down and asked for some Cheerios. I counted 20 peeps staring at us!!
Dude...I drove my Chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry.
Ok, you know the rutina...I will finish this off after tina time.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! Happy to report that after whispering Max's name, he sat up and said "hellllloooo Poppa" and was ready for his afternoon. The shorter siesta had no immediate impact on him and we will see how bed time turns out. Stay tuned!!
Post siesta I gobbled down a PB sandwich and was out the door to el gimnasio. A hot one. How hot?
We are seeing a trend....friggin hot and no rain in the past 10 days or so. One seco julio!!
Any who...headed home for some clean up, puttering around and then it was off to cook chuletas de cerdo...with apple sauce of course because Max loves his apple sauce!!
The familia had their comida and then jumped in the camioneta verde and headed to the Beverly Hills of Huatulco, Conejos, and had a pool party with some of Max's amigas.
Home for la cena at 530pm and then after a good dinner and clean up...off on the bici tour we went. Our mission? Find some epsom salts so we can soak Max's sore legs in his tina. Issue? No one here has bathtubs thus there is no need for epsom salts!!
We struck out at the first 2 farmacias and then headed to the natural products tienda. No salts but we grabbed a crema for rubbing on the legs and then we struck gold at the last stop!!
Some tiny triangular packages, brand name Magsokon, and en español they are called sal de espsom and sulfato de magnesio. I Googled it and the first thing that pops up is that the product is used as a laxative!! Ja ja ja
Only $9 pesos each and we will see if they do the trick Stay tuned!!
Home for tina time and I hear the musica starting up!!
Fin de semana already? Hoping the nice weather continues and mañana we will head to playa Mojon for Gorilla cheese sandwiches (Max's request) and then home for Bubba burritos!!
No race this weekend...sleep in? Ja ja ja
Have a great weekend y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
