Buenos tardes!! Can you say "stinking hot"?
And that does not bode well for the lil'man who is not feeling well, is not running a fever but seems to be stinking hot himself.
Anoche we had a super quick bed time, and maybe that was the cue that something was not right? Max was pretty much asleep when The Niño Whisperer came in, and I have not seen that happen in over 6 months.
Five minutes with his Poppa and then I plopped him into his cuna...score.
I was about to tell madre that we have not seen Max wake up in the first 2-3 hours of his sleep in such a long time...when he woke up after 90 minutos. Another cue?
Quick manos and off to sleep he went but we had 3-4 more wake ups that seemed to occur after another sleep cycle of 90 minutos.
Air con was off at 3am and the window open at 330am, but at 520am when Max woke up, it was HOT in the room and he too was hot.
Window closed, air con back on, a quick rock, in Poppa's arms for 5 minutos and then plopped onto la cama, the bed, where there were some man snugs until...645am!! Another cue?
But after videos and tranquilo time, all looked normal...no sign of what was about to come.
Onto desayunos and after eating most of his fruta, I turned around to see most of it back on the kitchen counter. Yikes.
Max had a clean up and we shelved the rest of the fruta, and I was thinking Max had too much in his boca, triggering his "hair trigger" gag reflexes.
Onto cereal, pan con mermalada, huevos and some yogurt...and then it was time to "fill" 1.5 cereal bowls with yak. Poor niño!! Time to get madre involved!!
Bex was already awake and she came out to comfort the lil'man while Poppa went into clean up mode. Libros in bed with Mom and I headed out to grab some ginger ale, banana bread and pedialyte, a beverage for niños to replenish fluids after yakking.
After some beverage, Max was well enough for a swim and off we went to the CP alberca. We had a fun 30 minutos or so, diving for a fork and spoon, but then Max ran out of steam and just sat in my arms, in the water, for 15 minutos.
Madre came down to check on the Boys and out we came for a shower and a towel. Upstairs for leche and a bite to eat and then onto some libros.
Due to the late wake up, it was a task to get the lil'man to sleep, and the fact that Max LOVES his madre so much, every time she put him down on the bed, he woke up and was upset that she was doing that.
It took Poppa to get the lil'man onto the bed and he had an hour of siesta before another 30 minutos on his Poppa's lap.
Even in a 27,0 grado cooled room, he was hot. No fever...time for a light lunch and some more beverages.
Some Handy Manny video, some Nascar and now at 315pm, Bex has loaded Max up in her sling and with an sombrilla in hand, they have headed to the air conditioned Soriana for a cool prowl of the aisles...and maybe some helado!!
Me? The race is on and I will need to bring out Veronica for a vacuum in 45,0 grado heat!! Maybe I join the familia for a swim when they return from their hot prowl home.
So...onto the fotos and due to the fact we had no tour or prowl, there are only a few. More mañana!!
Time lapse...we sat like this for 15 minutos!!
330pm update...after hearing "hola hola" from my returning familia, I also heard "Max threw up on me". Into clean up mode and after a shower for both, Max was given a panale change and is now in the chill room watching videos with his madre.
He wants to go for his post-cena bici ride and we are trying to explain to him why that might not happen today. Enfermo and no bici ride...we have one triste niño who is apologizing to us because he does not feel well!!
Back to the race. I will finish this up esta noche.

Happy to report that Max is feeling a little better, well enough to go into the alberca for an hour, well enough to have a little dinner (kinda bland...better for belly) and well enough for a post cena bici tour!!
Currently 730pm and soon the meditation musica will start playing!!
A tranquilo afternoon for Bubba as I watched the race, did a casa clean up and then joined the familia for a swim before heading upstairs to get the pollo reggianno cooked up.

We love the bici tour and today at the escuela we hid a M&M key chain and Max had to go find it. He often saw us as we were hiding it but every time he found it, he lit up with excitement and yelled out "here it is!!".
A few noches ago, we were almost home and we were stopped by an amiga who works at the taqeria across the calle from the CP gates. She really wanted a foto of Max on his bici and we obliged, with the usual note that normally fotos are $10 pesos, but for you...gratis.
Bex chatted the senorita up and found out the foto was for another senorita's hija, who always asks how Max is and regularly asks to see him. We did not even know this and Max may end up with a new playmate. Score!!
Ok...wish us luck esta noche. Fingers crossed that Max has a good sleep. Due to the fact that it is 31,0 feeling like 40,0 right now, we are going to let the a/c run all night, setting it at 28,0 grados. This should help keep him cool and let him get a good sleep. Stay tuned.
