During desayunos, Max is taking a pit stop on the kitchen counter.
Buenos tardes!! Currently 415pm and it has been another scorcher día with no sign of lluvia.
The familia is out at Tic Toc, also known as Rosario's Palacio, and then will spend some time in the parque/jungla before heading home for Burger lunes at 530pm.
I patiently wait for Marcos to arrive (15 minutos late) so he can repair the window screen in the bedroom. Any longer and he might be joining us for burgers!!
The día? We had a good bed time, 30 minutos con padre, and only a few wake ups during the noche. At 330pm this lil'head popped over the cuna rails and asked for super snugs....ahhhhh sorry but no.
That seemed to work as Max lay back down and was asleep until 520am. Manos over the rail solved that and we slept until 625am. Score!!
Usual morning rutinas, videos, tranquilo time, huge desayunos and then we were off for a carretilla prowl. First stop was Casa Pepe and everyone stopped to watch the lil'man return to the tienda where he bought the wheel barrow.
Max ran into the showroom to see his amigo the mannequin, and then we sussed out some signs for playa Mojon, but had no luck.
Onto the rest of our prowl which included a stop at SCA for burger buns and out side SCA, what did we see? The town is hopping with Chilangos and we saw 20 of them sitting on the curb, each with a Coke in hand and a styrofoam plato with some food from a comedor economico. It is their costumbre, custom.
Then we were off to Poopie Loopie where after I call my order out to the butchers, Max stands on a chair to watch them and if you listen carefully, you will hear him call out the orders as well. Hilarious.
Headed to the CP alberca, dropped off the meat y pollo and then hola hola to madre. A good swim and Max met a familia from DF, with one very curious and chatty 5 year old niña. She enjoyed Max, but seemed to want to spend time holding my arm and chatting me up.
Upstairs for the leche y libros and siesta. Bex says Max was lights out for siesta, it must have been the swimming and the super hot prowl we had this morning. The lil'man was sweating it up and even drank most of his agua...muy raro.
Post siesta I was off to el gimnasio and then picked up madre's bici from the taller, shop. Yup...another flat tire.
I ran into the familia as they were headed out, and then I headed upstairs for clean up and some tranquilo time.
As for the familia's afternoon...they had their comida and then Max's maestra, Laura, arrived for his one hour of español.
Bex says that they got along well and that Laura really worked well with Max on getting him to speak his español. She tells us she understands 75% of ingles, but never speaks it, so Max better get on board!!
It went so well that she will be back on viernes for 2 hours and if we like the progress, we will keep it at 2 visits a week for 2 hours each. Stay tuned.
And post clase de español...out the door they went.
All caught up...onto the fotos.
The lil'man loves his sprinklers!!
Is it in here?
Hmmmmm?
Now where did I put it?
Five minutos into our prowl, and the lil'man (and his Poppa) was sweating.
And here he comes...listo!!
"Look Poppa...it is me" was what I was told.
Off to Casa Pepe.
Pool time.
Señor Muscles!!
Who jumps into the alberca while flexing the "guns"? Max Van does!!
Madres bici ride this morning was cancelled due to another, yes another, flat tire. Here, Max is examining the repair job before they headed out.
But he spotted Poppa taking fotos and ran into the jungla to try and avoid the paparazzi. Oh Max!!
Galleta'd up before heading out.
Time to flip the fries and get the burgers ready to go.
You know thew scoop, I will finish this off after tina time.
Hasta pronto.
Buenos noches!! We have survived an attempt of Max's at confirming there is such a thing as the terrible two's!!
I am being waaaaay dramatic, but the lil'man was very emotional tonight. Probably sensory over load with the maestra, some jungla time which included a dip in the water fountain, and then some palacio time with his amigas.
There were some tears during dinner when I explained to him I was going to demonstrate what saying "no" all the time feels like. Max asked for more fries and I said no. I only said it once and Max got angry at me and then the tears started flowing.
There was a familia hug and all was better. But during our bici ride, we were almost home when Max decided to stop listening to us as well as stop acknowledging what we had said. That led to a discussion about us walking home and Poppa carrying the bici and he wheeled away from us.
A few more minutes and a meek "yes Momma" came out of his boca...oh we are in for a ride!!
But other then that...a joy to be with!! lol
The familia had a fun and hot tour and then were home for the oh so yummy cena. Onto clean up and for what ever reason we were behind schedule, so we had a short bici tour and then home for the tina time, leche and I hear the musica has just started up.
Marcos did a great job with the window screen and was thrilled with the $200 pesos for his 2 hours of work.
Ok, time to shut down this entry. Have a great martes (Che martes for us) and hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
