Happy Canada Day from one of Max's favorito amigos.

And here is the lil'man himself.

Buenos tardes!! Overcast...but warm!!

Brrrr....44,0 grados.

The familia is cooling their jets at the playa and will be back at 530pm para la cena...hola hola to Polish salchica y arroz.

The día? It started with a fairly lonnnng bed time. Argh. But we also started a little late due to the long bici tour.

So Bex had her 35 minutos and I had my 45. The good parts of the bed time were the interruptions in the silence when Max asked to give me hugs (twice), a kiss (once) and to tell me he loved me (twice).

When it was all said and done, Max fell asleep on his own (after asking for manos "please please Poppa") and in his cuna.

A good noche until 1am and between then and 605am, we had 3 wake ups including 2 that required some more manos. He LOVES manos!!

Leche at 610am and then videos until 710am. I had asked him to let me sleep and wake me up at 710am when the iPad alarma would go off, and ta-da...success!! What a good niño!!

Onto tranquilo time and then the huge desayunos. It is Che martes so we had a short prowl and then off to drop off recycling and then onto running the aisles of Che. No scores unless you count my Visa card working at the caja as a score!!

Home for leche and lots of libros as Bex's role was to calm the lil'man down...he was wired!! It worked and it did not take too long to get him asleep for the 90 minuto siesta.

Post siesta, I was off to el gimnasio and then home to say adios to the familia as they loaded up the bici for their playa adventura. Then it was upstairs for some clean up, puttering around and the pre-cena garbonzo bean ensalada.

And after Max woke up from his dreams, it was a quick FT con Opa and then one with his Oma as well. Glad she is feeling a little bit better today!!

Some Max y madre play time and then onto their comida, some casa clean up (Max likes doing mops) and then out the door they went.

All caught up...onto the fotos.

The water in the bucket was too much of a distraction and these were the only fotos I could get.

Manos about to touch the camioneta verde.

And right about then Poppa says "heyyyyyy", producing the mid-air halt of the mano.

But we then scored (we being me) on these next fotos. And you know the rule...if he is looking, keep shooting!!

Poppa, what in here?

The signo (??) says wash, dry and iron.

We were only prowling for 15 minutos or so, but long enough for a pit stop!!

As I was headed out to el gimnasio, I came upon this patriotic duo.

Who then posed in cute mode.

Dangling my camera over the CP perimeter fence, I saw the bici being loaded.

But Eagle Eyes Max spotted his Poppa.

And quickly told his madre!!

Ok...time to get la cena started. I will finish this off esta noche.

Hasta pronto!!

Buenos noches. All good here in Huatulco...other then Max losing his "cup" privileges during tina time and continually repeating that he has "lost cup privileges". Pouring water onto the floor will do that to you...especially if you ignore your madre 3 times!!

The familia had a super fun time at playa Santa Cruz, leaving a familia of 10 Mexicanos gob smacked when they saw Max put on his gafas and swim around the oceano solo. Hello!!!

Home for a big dinner, clean up, a good and hot bici ride and then home for tina time. Currently 730pm and libros y leche are over and no Max y madre are onto the 15 minutos of meditation muscia. Buen suerte!!

And that was our Canada Day here in Huatulco. Oh, before I forget...an amigo who sells camarones out of his '67 Capri, wished me a Happy Canada day as I walked by him on the way to el gimnasio.

He thought it was a Canadian independence day, so I cleared that up. He then laughed at the "gringos" who think 5 de mayo is Mexico independence day.

Misc...all you weather stat nuts...here they are. Yup, the junio 2014 results!!

We had average lows of 26,8 and highs of 31,3which run very comparable to last years 27,0 and 31.6.
Waaaaay more humido then last year, with some humidity every day....ugh. We had 14 days with some precipitation, which is 4 more then last year, but this year we have only had 2-3 torrential downpours vs the tropical storm last and many more days of heavy rain that we had last year.

And how was julio 2013? Only 4 dias con lluvia, less humido then junio and average lows of 26,8 anf highs of 31,9.

In agosto we will see hotter days and more days with lluvia and then in septiembre we see a ton of rain, leading to less humido and cooler días y noches. Heading into the chilly Fall, we see average lows of 25,9 and highs of 30,2.

And we close the día with a smirk on Max Van's face, that says it all. Vida es buena!!

Hasta mañana.

Marco, Bexico y Max
