Oh yes, today we took the bici to Casa Pepe!!
Buenos noches!! I have 25 minutos until The Niño Whisperer will put on a brave face and stare down the task at hand...getting the lil'man to fall asleep!!
We had a great day here in Huatulco. No phone calls from nephews...ja ja ja. Max had a wake up at 430am and then was stirring at 5am. Yikes. Into the arms and then onto the bed and we slept until 610am. Phew.
Leche y libros while Poppa slept...and Max was waaaaay ready to get into his palacio when he woke me up. Of course he was...he did not wake me up at 710am when the iPad alarma went, but waited until 730am. Oh Poppa...Oh Max!!
Onto tranquilo time, the huge desayunos, the bici tour and then the swim. Only one pit stop on the tour and that was Casa Pepe for a new dish sink plug. And when we were there, I sure didn't know what it was called, but knew enough words to get it figured out.
A great swim, upstairs for the leche, libros and siesta. You get to see some fotos now and I will finish the update after.
Listo for the tour. Señor Anti-Fotos!! Oh Max!!
At Casa Pepe, Max parked his bici and ran to see his amigo, Plastico Hombre.
Pit stop in the zocalo for some sombra, agua y fotos!!
Spotted on the tour...one low riding camioneta. ¿Por que?
Hola hola to all the cocos frio!!
Just a usual miercoles around here...mariachi band playing en frente de la pescaderia, fish store.
Spotted in the zocalo...bug net pantalons?
Also spotted...madre!! She was coming back from her daily tour and here she chats up Max, seeing how his tour is going.
Onto the CP alberca.
Regular followers of the blog will know what is coming next!!
Good air Señor Max!!
And after leche y libros, it was siesta time.
And then at 1pm, Poppa wanted to hit el gimnasio before the water slides...and Max had a wacko melt down. Very upset that I was going...hmmmm. Bex figured out he might have a sore belly and after some bici exercises with his legs, he felt better and ate his comida.
I had a quick workout and when I got home, we jumped into the camioneta verde and we were off to the slides.
Max anticipating all the fun he is about to have.
Not quite an "oooooh", it looks more like a "grrrrrrr".
And while we were talking to the mesero about paying our entrance fee after a few bebidas, someone decided it was ok to just kick off his Crocs and jump into the shallow pool. Oh Max.
Here are the niño slides and we are not allowed to go down them with Max. Another issue is that there is not much water...aka lube...and Max likes to grab the rails. Can you say skin burn? Yikes. So we coached him, splashed water on as much of the slide as we could and....
Round 2 and more coaching.
And we were lucky there were no burns.
Touch/splash down!!
Good news? By the end of our visit, Max was laying on his back, holding his shorts with his hands so he would not hold the rails, and was zipping down the slides to his madre!!
Max went down the large slide last time, and was eager to go down again.
Here they come!!
And here is where they came to a complete stop. Doph. They were going too fast for Max's liking and he wanted to keep his hands on the rail, a sure fire burn. When Bex talked to him, he wanted his Poppa...who was on the edge of the pool taking fotos.
Camera down and I met them at the bottom of the slide. Bex inched them down and on the last turn, she sent "the package" onto his Poppa.
All well...let's go jumping instead!!
Max enjoyed doing this so much, he jumped, climbed out, climbed up and did it again...5 or 6 times.
And then madre got in on the action!!
Swim time over...needed sombra y una chelas!! Madre changed up the lil'man and the two of them played in the jungla area of the parque. I was in the shade nursing a $20 peso beer, limonada costs $25 pesos, but there was no viento and it was HOT!!
Time to clean up, say adios to the fish in the fish tanques and then head home. Only a 15-20 minuto drive and once home it was a quick post-slide clean up and the familia headed out to the mall for some trampolina action. Bad news there...no mas adultos on the trampolina. New rules from the mall and I am not sure who is more upset, Max or Bex.
Dinner was ready for them when they came home, hello, and hola hola to chuletas de cerdo with apple sauce of course!!
Good dinner, clean up, a bici tour, tina time and you are all caught up. Phew!!
Nothing out of the ordinary planned for mañana...but check back as you never know...maybe Max will join a mariachi band!!
Hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
UPDATE!!!!
Well, bed time was better then anoche...but it is 845pm and it took 15 minutos of libros y leche con madre, another 15 of meditation musica and then 50 minutos with his Poppa. Yikes. And mid-50 minutos, I knew I was in for the long haul when Max tells me he is sad. I ask why and he says he is
sad because of the new rule about the trampolina. Max LOVES his Momma!!
Hey...we had a rain shower!! The first precipitation in 4 weeks. Ok, it only lasted 1 minute and there is now even more humido...but it was rain!!
Adios.
