That sonrisa, smile? The product of falling asleep at 825pm and after having a sweaty playera changed at 1015pm, sleeping in his cuna uninterrupted until 635am!! We are back on track....score!!
Buenos noches!! Currently 840pm and we are back on schedule after a long afternoon at playa Mojon. Max is asleep in his cuna and Bex is hard at work in her oficina...and Bubba types away.
A full day...a fun day.
A great morning after the great sleep. Videos, tranquilo time, huge desayunos with Max trying his first cherries, and then onto a bici tour.
We ended the morning with a fun swim in the CP alberca and then it was upstairs for the rutina of leche, libros and a siesta. I think it was a 75 minuto siesta and then we loaded up the camioneta verde (thanks to Mom for all the packing) and headed off to playa Mojon.
Max has been a-ok the last dozen trips out to Mojon...knock on wood!! We arrived and found that someone had been using our palapa. That is not an issue for us, but we were disappointed that they left beer bottles, tequila bottles and cigarette butts under it.
The worst part? We are in a very hot streak with no lluvia in 10 days or so, and the dumb asses left a smouldering fire that had burned the area around a smouldering log. All in all it was a 3x2 meter area that was charred and it stands only 1 meter away from the palapa.
I am amazed that with the wind at playa Mojon, no sparks flew into the palapa roof (made of dry palmas) and set it on fire.
Using a shovel I turned the soil and covered up the log. We have no signs up, but next week I will look into getting some lumber and making up a few. What a bunch of idiots.
As for the rest of the time at Mojon...hola hola to Gorilla cheese sandwiches and some salchichas. Then it was play time on the playa, followed by prowl time and then due to low tide, we managed to coax Max into del mar and we jumped in some olas.
He is still timido about the olas, all due to the issue in the laguna, something he talks about regularly. But we had mainly chico'ish olas and I held onto him through those ones and the larger ones as well.
A little bici ride on the arena, sand, but it was too much work so Bex took him down the dirt road for a 45,0 grado ride. Yikes.
I packed up and after an agua pit stop, the familia wheeled over to Romans and I drove the truck there. A little pre-pool clean up and the familia had a swim while I had a cold one with Roman.
We had bought a "Max chelas" at SCA and he was eager to leave the pool and sit at the picnic table with the men and drink his chelas, a can of sparkling water.
He blabbed up a storm and I enjoyed listening to him talk to Roman about whatever was popping into his head at that moment.
Finished up and we headed home for 2.5 hours of go go go, with la cena in the middle of it all. We had playa clean up, then the boys cooked la cena, we ate dinner and then had cena clean up.
Into the tina and while that was happening, we had casa clean up followed by tina clean up while the libros and leche were happening. Yikes!!
Onto bedtime and it took The Niño Whisperer 30 minutos, but Max fell asleep on his own and in his cuna...score!!
So...you are all caught up. Onto the fotos.
Maybe he will become an astronauta, because he loves la luna.
Waiting patiently for all the taxis to pass by before was cross the calle.
Itchy ear he said.
Stopped at the top of the rampa and looking out for el tráfico...what a good niño!!
He is a deep thinker...or he was hypnotized by his amigos, the parrots, at the papeleria.
When he does not want to say hola to someone, Max pretends to be asleep. Muy tonto!!
Max asked for a foto to be taken right here.
And I snuck in a few extras for his Poppa!!
Having run the pollo y molida res upstairs, Max was patiently waiting for me on the "green square" as his waiting area is called.
Too much waiting...must rest legs!!
Back into the CP alberca we go!!
Why he jumps sideways? No sé!!
I have to check, but we might have some playa Mojon fotos on the camera. If we do, you will see them mañana.
That is all for today. Have a great domingo y hasta mañana.
Marco, Bexico y Max
