Feliz Día de Canada!! As well, Felicidades to Bex’s hermano, Jimmer and his finacée Kelly, who became engaged today

Tons of fotos…keep reading.

Max had some TNT last night…up a few times and was giving the boots to madre a few times as well.

Up at 7am and the first 2 hour segment went off as per the norm. He enjoyed his desayunos and then spent some time asking me about the Mexican Presidential elections that are being held today.

Hoping for the long chest nap…turned into 30 minutes and then we headed out for the walk.

Tons of peeps out today, all about voting.

Max and I headed first to the parque near Pemex and we saw all these peeps getting ready to register and vote.

Where crowds gather, you will see these peeps selling fresh fruta etc.

And who did we run into? Carlos from Nissan was pushing the 4 wheel ATV across the intersection and into Pemex...out of gas.

Now, I really like Carlos...but boy does he confuse me sometimes. Proximo sábado, we are planning on visiting his hometown of Istmos con Tony, and we were going to leave at 2pm. I texted him ayer to confirm and he tells me 7am...but he needs permission from his jefe.

I ask why 7am and not 2pm as we had discussed, and he says he needs to ask permission. What kind of answer is that? lol

I asked what kind of actividades we were going to do and it sounds fun y touristy...and he said make sure I bring the camera. Visiting some cascadas...waterfalls... is on the list...not sure what else he said!! Ja ja ja

After chatting up Carlos, off to the zocalo and look at these line ups.

Lalo told me these peeps are from out of town and were in line to cast their ballots at this special polling station.

Said hola to the rest of the gang and then came home for a tank up and a quick alberca session before madre took over and gave him nap #2.

It is domingo…no gym. Hola to a nap and then the afternoon arrived. Meanwhile Max worked on his legs via the JJ and then spent some time with madre.

I did manage to spend some time looking over the CAD drawings and there are no major things to change, but tons of little details. What kind of windows and then what kind of security for the windows, is the major work.

We are not worried about security while we are in the casa, but when we are not there, the beautiful casa will sit pretty much deserted, so we need to think about these things.

At night we want to be able to leave our windows open, and with the recamaras on the primero piso, we need to feel certain no one has walked in off the playa.

So security for windows and things like lighting etc. The window options are limited, but everything is made local so you can get a little creative.

We are looking at 4 pane windows for all the bedrooms, with the centre 2 panes being the Juliet balcony doors, opening 1.2 meters wide with a view of del mar.

For the planta baja, main floor, all the windows on the calle side of the building, will be louvered as we will not have any awnings to keep out the lluvia. We will also have tinted or mirrored glass so we don’t worry about peeps looking in as they drive or walk down the calle.

I do enjoy the fun details like picking the placement of electrical sockets, lights and fans because this way I can ensure they are not put in any dumb a** places!!

Once we have the quotes on all the tiles etc, we can then go look at what styles have been included in those price ranges and start picking and choosing.

After Max had nap #3, off to the alberca for our float. This was followed by the night rutina, great steaks with peppercorn gravy!! Which reminded me to ensure we have a gas hook up for our BBQ at Mojon!!

Currently 845pm…a later start to the tina rutina…and madre is doing her best to get the lil’ball of energia to fall asleep. Fingers crossed!!

Mañana…lunes again. Nothing extra planned, but if we do have another day of sun this week, we are thinking a trip to the playa is in the cards.

Rest of the fotos.

Our 2nd favorite pollo stop.

Disappeared one day.

But were found just down the calle.

With a paint job like this...I get the sense this may become a Corona bar.

Ok mis amigos, that is all. Have a great week.

Last fotos. Max all geared up and ready for alberca time.

Marco, Bexico y Max
