Late start to the blog
update due to a late nap for Max. The day just got away from us due to the
early start…mañana we will make sure we are ahead of schedule!!
9pm and madre is tanking
up the lil’hombre and hopefully he will sleep!! I jumped on Skype to let Bex’s
hermana, Liz, know that Bex was busy…and rescheduled their chat until mañana.
Max was up again at 5am,
but I managed to get him back asleep until 645am. With our ojo half open, the
first 2 hours of the day went by very fast. So fast that after our walk, we ran
out of time para desayunos and had the first nap instead.
945pm UPDATE
Wow…the Whisperer was
called in and closed the show. It wouldn’t have been as easy without the
co-captain’s previous30 minutes plus of rocking.
The lil’hombre just does
not like to fall asleep. Not sure why.
Craziest part of the día?
While max y madre were having the last nao of the day, Tony, mi mecanico amigo,
shows up at the front door.
I am eating mi ensalada
but tell Tony to come on in…pasale. And then he tells me he has 3 amigos with
him!! Pasale to all of them and all of a sudden there are 5 hombres in the very
small living room…even smaller with the Party Palace laid out!!
So…what’s up boys? They
came by to see if I wanted to go fishing with them mañana. Always last minute
with these guys. I say thanks but tell them it will have to be another
time…proxima vez….next time.
The race was just starting
and 4 hombres were glued to the Sony flat screen and the race in HD. These
amigos lead a simpler life and what we can take for granted, is a wow for them.
We chatted it up…Tony
seems to feel he knew nothing about going to Istmos today…huh? Oh well.
Showed everyone the
YouTube video of the last fishing trip and the huge tormento…everyone laughed
as Tony was turning green and was being slapped around in the lancha. Ja ja ja
Kept the boys voices down
to a dull roar and after 20 minutes or so, off they went. Nice to be invited
out again…these young hombres like hanging out with the old white guy!!
The rest of the day? El
gimnasio, Papaloapan for some more molida res…hola to hamburguesa sábado y hola
to the boys at the shop. And also throw in a FT with Max’s abuelos y alberca
time too!!
Was happy to have the
familia join me on the walk to el gimnasio and while I lifted some weights,
they played in the parque.

The blue bin behind him is weighed down with books and he moved Quatchi and the blue cushion to get the 2 books out.
At least he was reading them and not eating them!!
It was a quick read...maybe I can get that paperback book down from the shelf!!
1015pm and I am watching
the tape of the race…don’t tell me who wins!!
Mañana…Indy race at 1130am
and maybe some pan frances para desayunos?
No gimnasio so maybe some
parque time con mi hijo!!

After they set up these tables, they set up one of those blow up bouncy castles para niños. Not sure if it is a fiesta para niños or maybe una boda...wedding.
