Hola mis amigos y Feliz Cumpleaños to Jake!!

830pm and Bubba has to wake up in 8 hours so he can meet Tony for a 530am start to a fishing trip. Huh? I guess it is best to fish before the water heats up and before the fishermen heat up!!

Max y madre are ending the rutina by tanking up and hopefully falling asleep. And tad a…madre just exited the room and fired up the video monitor. Max is zzzz!! Onto Rice Crispie Squares!!

Another day that has come and gone in the blink of an eye.

Up waaay to early…Max should be a fisherman!! But today things went a bit (heex4) slower then normal…padre was getting his self arranged. So by the time the desayunos was done, it was nap time.

Thirty minutes of CN and we were getting ready for our walk when our new neighbors came over to introduce themselves. They own a unit on the 3rd floor, but live most of the year in Germany.

Mexican husband and she is a writer who seems to be doing quite well for herself, over 100 lectures a year. Don’t ask me her name….but stay tuned.

Interesting peeps…when they met, he spoke no ingles or German and she spoke no español, so they chatted in Latin.

She was quite please to tell me she has no Nazis in her families history (good to note) but did lose family to the concentration camps.

And then onto cheery topics, she likes to bake and we are hoping for a chocolate cake before they leave in 4 semanas.

After saying mucho gusto, we were off for our walk. No viento this morning means it was mucha calor. But we had a nice pit stop in the zocalo and chatted up an hombre selling those things that make soap bubbles.

Strolled home and then time to wake madre up for leche and shortly after that, nap #2….Max’s, not mine.

I hit el gimnasio and then home to assist with the many chores we had today. Wash day, vacuum day, fix mattress day and return bumpers to cuna day (Max slips a foot through…doph).

Tony stopped by to confirm the 530am meet time. Good hombre, taking care of his amigo.

Madre had a good walk with Max, some gringo thought Max was between 12 to 18 months old. Ja ja ja

Max never managed nap #4, but we sure tried hard. He could have used it as he was not as tranquilo during our cena. But he held on and the rutina progressed fine.

Misc?

CFE bill…doph. I knew it would be a big one due to all the a/c we have been running. It is usually one for a few minutes at a time during the day, when we cool down Max or when we nap him.

But since late abril, the a/c in the bedroom starts at 7pm and goes right until 230am. If the room wasn’t so large, it would be better, but it is what it is.

So how big was the bill for 2 meses? $3200 pesos…which includes some 16% in taxes and 8% in DAP…whatever that is. All you peeps in BC should be happy with what you pay for electricity!!

Our bill has 3 levels, the first 250 KW (basico) is at .663 pesos, the second level is for the next 150 KW (intermedio) at .995 pesos and the third level, excedente (excessive), is where they grab the cash at 2.637 pesos per. Ouch.

But with solar at Mojon…zero electric bill!!

930pm…ouch I am going to be consado mañana!! Max woke up and madre is on a Skype with her hermana, so in went the Niño Whisperer. I left him asleep to find this happening a few minutes later.

Tough to see, but that was his ojo staring into the monitor’s camera. Doph…round 2.

So I took him up to say hola to Liz and then 15 minutes of rocking and he is now asleep.

Me? I will follow in 15 minutes.

Early morning foto...must use flash.
