Ione, I don’t know if we
jinxed it, but it is 845pm and I have reviewed today’s fotos…and there isn’t
one of Max. Doph.
Mis amigos y
familia...mañana there will be some Max fotos!! Por que? Porque it will be Día
de los Padres!!
Ok, our day.
Max slept until 7am…yeah!!
I was juiced up so we went for our walk right away and hunted out any damage
left behind by the storm.
Didn’t see much, mainly
knocked down arbols. On the complex grounds, there were a few roof
tiles…wouldn’t have wanted one of those on the ol’noggin!!
Our leak stopped shortly
after the rain did, but there is very visible water damage. Thank goodness no
damage to the Macs.
The Condo President told
me that the lofts were all built illegally, so any roof leaks will be the
owners responsibility. Our landlord has contacted me and will try to contact
the hombre who built his loft and see if he can come and check out the leaks.
Stay tuned.
Good walk and then we
ended up having 90 minutes of chest time. Best part of the day was NOT the nap.
Huh? Nope. It was the 5 minutes after the nap, when Max was awake but not ready
to move around yet (he is a slow riser), and he put his head in my lap and just
lay there for 5 minutes!!
The lil’ball o energy
hardly ever sits still, so 5 minutes like that was amazing!!
Sometime after that, we
managed to have a FT with mi hermana y sobrina and then after that, con mis
padres, Max’s abuelos.
No morning pool time as
the pool was still being cleaned of its storm debris, and without any sol, it
would have been frio!! As a matter of fact, when we did have pool time around
5pm, it was still frio, so much so that we put a niño cap on Max to help keep
the heat in.
There was some chilling in
the Party Palace and then madre took over. The two of them hit the road for walk
#2 and I readied myself for el gimnasio.
Good workout and said hola
to a few peeps. Walked back through centro which was opened for business
again!! The boys were doing a-ok and Daniel seems to have forgotten (or lost
desire) to call about our fridge shelf.
No crisis as Randy (of
Senor Pucks) has offered to bring one down if I order it and have it sent to hi
old oficina in Saskatchewan.
Home and we pooled it and
then started the night rutina. Hola to chili de Bubba para la cena!! The rib
eyes were purchased frozen, so we will have those mañana.
Fotos.
Roof tiles.
By the alberca.
Bex reminded me about the camioneta. We moved it in case the roof tiles came down on it.
From our walk.
The rain did not close this tienda. Poor business planning did.
Pretty deserted. But it all came to life later in the day.
Gotta make a buck.
The zocalo.
In front of an escuela.
Back home...tough to see, but there is a Max earprint right above the crease of my elbow. Long chest nap!!
Camion self defense.
I guess that is so no one tries to climb up to the drivers door and attempt to hijack them?
Fonatur hard at work cleaning up after the storm.
Business as usual...with an extra tarp.
Break in the weather, abuelo y nieto out for a walk.
Now I what they are storing in the trailer with the flat and torn tires. Cemento.
Small landslide in the parque.
Next to el gimnasio.
This was muddy water today.
And where the muddy water originates from.
The bomberos do arbol clean up.
Their trucks have been donated, this one from Richmond.
The rain washed away the white wash.
Last but not least, Sr Iguana.
Mañana…race at noon and an
iChat con mi amigo TS later in the day.
Have a great domingo and
don’t forget to say hola to your padre!!
Marco, Bexico y Max
