Hola everyone!! 710pm here in Huatulco and Bex is currently on a Skype with her padres. They are enamored with Max…hello!!

And when that was done, off to la cena…lomo cerdo y arroz and some yummy gravy we brought from Van. We still have a few packs of the salsa moreno…brown sauce as they call it here.

845pm, Gran Torino is on the DVD player and Max is over there getting a good scrub from his madre.

Our day was mainly tranquilo…the highlight being when we were able to take Max to the pool area and have him chill in his bassinet while we had a float and/or did some laps.

Here is his set up.

As you can see…our tranquilo niño fell asleep!! I took him back to our condo, with a pit stop so he could stare at the palm trees and coconuts!! Bexico did a few more laps and then spent some time being chatted up by some pool patrons. Topic of conversation…Senor Max!!

As for the rest of the day, our sleep was amazing!! Might not sound exciting to the average Jose, but we hit the hay around 11pm and all 3 of us got up at 9am!!! The regular awakenings for some leche and a tire change…but the lil’hombre was a prince last night!! Phew as we both needed it.

I hit el gimnasio where I was one of two peeps in there. The otra hombre was a friendly fellow and asked me about a bunch of exercises, so I spent some of my time showing him the ins and outs of the equipment. When he left, he made sure to say adios to me.

The gym has changed its holiday hours…now it is closed from Dec 26-Jan 2…open an extra 2 days. I will hit up the fancy gym for the days that mine is closed. Too bad Yeu is no longer there or I could workout with him as he had the keys!!

And Galdino (owns the gym) has loosened the wallet (crow bar needed) and has actually spruced up the gym. Fresh coat of paint on the walls and apparatus and even painted some numbers on the dumb bells so you know which is which!!

Did a walk through town, down the calle parallel to Bugambilia as I was headed to the papeleria to buy a note book and a bankers box for my file folders. A small ringed book (4 inches by 5) is called a cuaderno where a bigger one, say for escuela, is called a libreta. Both translate to notebook.

As for the bankers box, I spent 10 minutes trying to get one and finally did. The senorita said something to me…very fast and I was that after trying to buy the bankers box. Ja ja ja

And I had asked for a carton and found out my mistake…”carton” is cardboard…so asking for a carton gets you nowhere!! The proper term is caja de carton which confuses me as I have seen the word caja when lining up to pay a bill…you go to one of the caja that is open.

Who knows?

I stopped off at a restaurant called West Park Café, which has great sandwiches. The owner is Max and before we left, we had chatted him up about health care for niños. Today was about telling him our hijo, his name and just catching up.

The off to say hola to the boys and have some laughs. Crazy business as there seems to be 6 or 7 peeps working and the place is tiny!!

Wow…935pm and our “angel” is showing his other side. Not sure what burr is up his saddle but he has been fussy for the past few hours, taking a fussy-break only during bath time. It is warm, 29 grados with no humidity, but when he cries he sweats it up. We will need to keep an eye on this as diciembre is the coolest time of the year here…it is only going to get hotter.

Just had an email from Roman…here are some Mojon fotos as his guys are clearing a path to the palapa.

Mañana I will get our satellite dish activated and then arrange for Roman to set me up. Might have football by proximo domingo!!

Ok…Bexico got Max to zzzz…he was wired…over stimulated due to a lack of a nap. This routine “thing” will come in handy!!! Ja ja ja

Fotos….

Cerveza that only comes out during Navidad...and the story in the second panel mentions Orizaba, one of the towns I drove through on my last day on the road.

From last night, one of Bexico's methods of helping the lil'hombre relieve some gas.

Does it work? Judge for yourself.

And now a days it is the door to door Navidad decoration salesmen.

This is a tienda that sells quite a lot of plasticos...not the store we normally go to.

Another example of here today, gone tomorrow. The first foto is today and the 2nd foto is from 3 months ago.

Oh no...where did Bon Ice go?

The sock hombre.

Peeps waiting to pick up their padres.

These were in the parque, waiting for a family member to come by and start selling them.

Lalo says he has shopped here before...$100 pesos for a pair of jeans. I think they were JWJs. ja ja ja

Padre's regalo de Navidad? How about a hammock for padre?

Perro y scooter.

I don't know what to say. A manequin with no arms, planted under a parking sign (estacionamiento...thus the E).

Ok....so the truck wasn't completely full of Max's ropa (clothes).

Ok amigos, that was our sábado. No TV yet so mañana might be about streaming a game online. Definitely some pool time with Max and we might be meeting R&H at Pucks for some appies...and so they can meet Max.

The big HOA/strata meeting is tomorrow...should be some good fireworks!!

Have a great domingo...it is hamburguesa domingo for us!!

Marco, Bexico y Max
