Hola all. What a full day…as promised and delivered!!
We were all tired yesterday and Max decided 6am was time to let us know he was still alive. We were all camped out in the big bed, so I took him to the spare room where he managed to sleep on me for another hour or so.
Bexico needed the zzzz and has earned them. And at 730pm…she is even raking in a few more hours!! Ja ja ja
All about loose ends now. We meet with the condo cleaner tomorrow, I threw some things back in storage and I am doing my best to be ready for the road trip.
What a great day weather wise. Super sunny and a little crisp. The forecast is to remain this way through the week…a good way for me to start the return trip…vs driving in a snow storm or such.
After a great session at el gimnasio, it was off to meet an amigo at Starbucks. Rude service there….the quote was “you asked me a question, I wasn’t listening and just said yes”. Dumb ass and I made sure he was aware he was. Twenty minutes later he came out to our table and presented me a coupon for a free coffee….due to “our” miscommunication!!! What a Beavis.
Talking about Beavis…do you think Sears Canada has gotten back to me about the passport foto experience? Nope. So I sent them another email.
Anyway…great to meet up with Alex and talk about what is going on in our lives.
From there it was Staples for MORE fotocopying…this time getting ready for the car registration in Nogales Mexico.
Dropped off Max’s RESP info…with the first contribution coming from mi hermano and his family.
Off to Stupid Store and I ended up using the visa gift card that was given to us by Bex’s amiga Shannon. Muchos grassy ass!! We loaded up on some things for while Bex is home and I am on the road…and also bought some items tax free…while the card is still in the country.
Truck update? Head gaskets are off and the top is off to get machined. Mike was off today but still was checking in with his guys that everything was going to plan. Fingers crossed that the parts arrive from Calgary asap in the morning.
Talking about parts from Calgary…my Purolator tracking info says our Shaw products have arrived in Vancouver and are on their way to Port Moody. Fingers crossed again….hello NFL for max y Padre Bubba!!
After the Stupid Store it was home for a quick change and then we went out to meet another amigo, Svenner, at Earls. Max was well behaved in the way over and slept most of the time during lunch.
It was nice to see Svenner…a good guy who has done well for himself with the company that I used to work with as well. He drove quite far to meet us…and picked up the tab!! (shhhhh…secreto)
Max update? He was wide awake for most of the day and slept for a while during our lunch with Svenner. And now? Passed out after guzzling another 3 oz of leche!! Other then that…he is GREAT!!
845pm and burger Monday is over. So is the NFL game which Max slept through!! Bexico is working hard on more of her work and is getting more projects lined up for the New Year. Nice to see past clients contacting her and looking to offer her work.
Our Tuesday?
Nissan update…please!! Satellite dish update….please!! As well we will talk with the condo cleaner and drop off some already too small niño clothes to the Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society, which will ensure the clothes are given (vs sold in a thrift shop etc) to needy parents. Don’t worry RJ…none of the items are from you!!
After that stop, we are dropping off a VHS tape of mi padre’s 8mm films from 1964-1971 to get transferred onto DVD. I am told we will see some similarities between me and Max…poor kid!!! Lol
Then it is off to el gimnasio, and our last midwife appointment at 1pm. And don’t forget what restaurant is below their oficina…Joes!! So we will go for our last Joes…hello blueberry pancakes!!
Off to grab the finished DVD and then get back to the condo because mi hermana is coming by for a visit!! Nice to see her before we hit the road…but we ALL know she is coming to see you know who!!! Ja ja ja
