The Adventures of Bexico, Bubba y Max: Friday December 2, 2011

Back from Whistler and we turned a so-so boarding day into a GREAT day by managing to get to our favorite run…even though the chair used to access this part of Whistler, was closed!!

More on that later.

Feliz Cumpleaños to mi amigo Melon…a ripe old 35 years today. And thanks for the ride home…sorry about the crappy traffic.

And did I miss Max and Bex? Of course but I did not realize how much I missed them until I got home and saw them!! 1105pm and Max has been up for a lot of the day and is Mr Fussy Pants right now. Here is hoping that he falls asleep soon!!

I need to be up early to get the camioneta to Nissan and we have Desmond and family coming over for a visit around 1130am. Phew…visits and more visits. Don’t get me wrong, we love showing off our Max, it is just a lot of work.

Whistler? Blue skies and we booked it to the peak chair. It had not been open for a while so the snow there would be fresh…and the lift lines long.

Here is Melon taking a break as he waits for me. Tough warm up (uh…no warm up) meant that my 46 year old knees were stiff and my calves decided they too would have liked a warm up!! Ja ja ja

We did another Peak run and came across this sign.

No issue!! And look at how steep the Peak chair is from this vantage point.

Then we discovered the back route to our favorite chair and run!!

The two runs we did were a lot of work to get to…but worth the effort!! I will miss boarding those runs with mi amigo.

Finished our day and off to MS to say hola to Roy and grab a free beer!!

Great timing back to West Vancouver and then traffic slowed right down through North Van. Kent had to head home to Maple Ridge…probably took another 90 minutes…sorry dude.
