845pm…and here come madre y Max…fresh from a bath. Time for a towel dry and some brushing of the ginger hair.

Quite the day for all of us…Max’s first trip to Mojon!! More on that later.

And if you like fotos…I think there are 60 today. Yup…60.

Up at 7am as Max was restless, so I took him out of bed and that allowed Bexico a few more hours of zzzz. He slept well last night…10pm to 7am with 2 or 3 feeding sessions. Here’s hoping that it continues.

After a feed and change, it was a swaddle to keep those flailing arms tight…and he was out like a light. Put him in his cuna (crib) and he slept great…waking up only a few times for a sneeze or yawn.

The Max in the cuna series….

I then headed to el gimnasio, stopping first to buy some cable connectors and at the ferretería, some 4 metres of TV cable…for $20 pesos…$1.40 Cdn. Muy barato!!

The gym was empty, but was happy to see Fermin (taxista who works out in the gym) drive by as I walked home. I haven’t seen him in the gym for a while…high season…the time to make the $$.

Did the walk and had some good laughs at Gabriels. Tu gusta chorizo always brings a laugh. And then there was me asking Daniel and Vicky what was up with giving our sleeping niño some “jabs” yesterday.

The answer? Making sure he is “manned up”…tough…not a pussy. Ah thanks Vicky…we are sure he is ok!! 5 out of 7 on the bizzaro scale. Ja ja ja

Here is the set of fotos from the walk to and from el gimnasio.

Miercoles looks like it was shoe day in town.

I saw 4 youngsters who had stopped for some desayunos.

I have introduced you to this hombre before. He is a smart dresser and takes his cart to and from the zocalo area to the area near mi gimnasio.

Weather forecast? One cloud...una nube.

There is a sense of urgency to ensure niños get basic medical needs taken care of and many Mexicans do not have the $$ to go to clinics, so the IMSS sends vans like these into the communities.

These are mis amigos from the llanteria. Elder is on the right...must find out the name of otra hombre!!

That is now 2 side streets that have been repaved this year!! Twenty more to go?

This is one of many cars that Mexican tourists have brought into the city. You can always tell by the picture of the Virgen on the front of the car. We later saw this car drive by the entrance to Mojon, on the way to Salina Cruz.

Home to pack up and we headed to Mojon, handing out a few tarjeta (not carta according to Hector) de Navidad, to the guys at the complex.

Easy drive to Mojon and we were not stopped by the military, coming or going.

Here is the Max at Mojon series.

I know what he is thinking about!!

Max all geared up for the elements...and on top of the beach quilt made for him by his Oma.

I'm too hot padre Bubba...

Max y padre...lil'hombre needs some sol!!

And the Bexico boogie boarding series. Pretty good for 47 days after giving birth via emergency c-section!! She will soon be up on her surfboard...this girl LOVES the oceano!!

"guess what I forgot to remove?"

And some fotos of from and of Mojon itself.

We had to shoo Tenouch off. He is too hyper for Max.

Looking east...the sand has returned. The beach became VERY rocky after last rainy/stormy season.

Yup...those are our water wells...now looking like they are ON the playa.

The damage from the season's storm surges was amazing. The locals had not seen anything like it before...washing away almost 2 meters (deep) of playa.

Looking west.

New casa on the hillside.

New tercer piso...3rd floor. The playa used to reach the stairs at the front of this hotel (it has been under construction for 4 years)

The front of our property is in line with the front of the corner wall. Yikes. But at least some playa is coming back...in September the well was much higher above the playa.

Great to be back on our lot and at our playa. Makes the head spin with all the ideas of what and how to build...and when!!

The palapa has been re-roofed, but we need some wire replaced (holds the wood together) and our hammock hooks and roping has fallen apart after one year, so mañana I will stop at pick up those supplies.

We had our boogie, took the fotos, got some sun, read some of my paperback and then spent some time fighting off the hormigas who were attracted to Max’s abode.

So…time to go!! Packed up and actually stopped to chat with Roman first, and then off to Che.

Big score at Che? Our first package of Mexican diapers for Max. They have some of the Huggies that they sell in Van…wow were they expensive.

We bought a Mexican brand..Dry Kids and the sizes here are not 1 thru 6 as we saw in Stupid Store…but straight up Chico, Mediano, Grandebarato.

No other big scores there, and headed home to unload and have a pool shower to rinse off arena y sal and then some quick laps in the pool.

La cena? Pollo y chorizo jambalya using a new chorizo from Che. Mi gusto mucho!! Phew.

Then the night routine and here we are.

I did manage a good 15 minute FaceTime vid chat with mi madre, who got to watch Max watch her. Huh? Any way…mi madre managed the iPad solo and it all went well!!

Misc

Looking forward to our NYE…hello to the fireworks show y bonfire!! I have already sussed out the fireworks at the tienda where we bought them last year. This year? NOTHING made out of newspaper!! We spent an hour picking up newspaper off of our playa!! Ja ja ja…but not really.

Mañana? El gimnasio, hope to chat up Roman, Senor Ricardo (G10) might pop by with our damage deposit, we need the blood test (type only) for Max, hope to at least get the satellite dish to the roof and the wires connected…AND I am still working on a plan for the clutch fan.

Mike tells me OEM is $275 in Canada, so if courier is less then $325…I am still ahead!! Driving to Mojon with the lack of power was pitiful. Argh.

Ok gang…only 4 more days until Navidad.

Crazy story in the LA Times…we will jot be using change tables in the UK!!
