So Max had a so-so sleep and at 6am decided to moan for a while. My turn to get him out of bed and get Bex some needed sleep.

I had him propped up on my knees for around an hour and thus here is the “Max 6am-7am series”….check out those facial expressions!!

But first...the empty bottle...it helped him fall asleep later and the sucking helps ease the colico.

And then he fell asleep…phew…and managed to stay that way in his Conejito swing.

Bexico awoke and we ended up changing Max’s poo/pee catcher as it was FULL…hello…maybe weighed an extra 2 kilos. Ja ja ja

Here is Max in an outfit given to us by Rick Y Heidi. Too many cute fotos to choose from…so you get them all.

Bexico took over Max duty and I headed out to el gimnasio and some errands as well.

Great time at the gym…no one but Hector there…again. As I was ready to go, a senorita from waaaay back came in and we chatted about Rosa y Max. She loved his fotos and called us lucky and him hermosa y guapo!!

On the way home I stopped off to grab some wire (alambre galvanizado) to re-do the palapa and some hooks (bandola mosqueton) to hang the hammock. Muy barato…only $30 pesos for the two hooks and $55 pesos for the palambra.

Then off to Isssste where I scored on more “real” mayonaise…sin limon!! Also found some mil isla dressing and grabbed some more granola. A good haul and again muy barato.

Stopped at Papaloapan and grabbed 970 grams of rib eyes and paid less then $10 Cdn for it!! Hello steak dinner con papa y elote dorado!!

My knapsack was full so I headed home and did a drop and go. Bexico was headed out to check out the blood test info….examen para tipo sanguineo.

I hooked up with mi familia and we went to the clinico where Bexico had her work done and we found two great senoritas. We did our best with español…and it was pretty good…but one of the senoritas spoke perfect ingles and hailed from Seattle WA. The otra senorita spoke no ingles and her amiga translated for us.

They both have niños and both have different pediatricians here in town…and both like their own doctor. Good to know.

I took Max for his finger prick and during the prick and squeezing of 3 drops of sangre…not a peep from our lil’hombre!! It cost only $80 pesos for the test and we now know he is B+…just like his madre.

All that is left before his vaccinations are to get some photocopies done and an infantile size foto of him. A breeze!!

Quick walk through town…no leche (real) to be found. We stopped to say hola to the boys and look who we found.

Lalo...aka...also know as Ron Jeremy (porn star). Back from the dentista…hello root canal. Ugh. He had a similar issue last year. Oh Lalo.

Good chat and here is Bexico y Max at Gabriel the Owls.

We headed to the tienda de plasticos and look what we bought.

Ready for Año Nuevo!! Hello…and $320 pesos later….we are set up for the 2nd Annual Mojon Fiesta!!

Here are the rest of the fotos from the walks around town.

Our weather...

And maybe the reason why this Xterra only needs the uni-wiper?

How old is the niña on the back? At least madre pulled over to use her cell phone!!

Mi amigo told me about his friend, who takes fotos of anyone wearing cammo. Melon said I needed a new subject for the blog, being as the taxi fotos are long over. So after much thinking, may I introduce the new series...Bars Sponsored by Corona. Expect a new foto every day!!

Here is Bar el Huatulqueño.

New signage at Bexico's restaurante favorito por sopa.

Regalo de Navidad? Ja ja ja

The helado y paleta hombre.

This armored car stopped at the Coca Cola depot. When a guard came out with his shotgun I said "mucho Coca Cola?" and he said sí and laughed.

Perrito...puppy.

Uh...seatbelts and airbags?

33 degree heat...150cc moto...black SWAT ropa...riding bit•h. Ja ja ja

Negocio es mal.

Stompin Jose Connors!!

A decorated tree outside the papeleria.

Now here is a Mexicoism for you. Recall yesterday's foto of the road being redone? Here are today's updated fotos. Oh oh...five guys to the left of the roller.

Yup...after all the hard work of ayer y hoy...time to dig a hole. Ja ja ja

After the purchase of the dynamite…home for alberca time. We swapped off with me going first and then I came upstairs to keep an eye on Max while Bexico hit the pool. Of course (?) he fell asleep before she left for the pool at 330pm and at 545pm he is still asleep…and even in his cuna. Score!!

Grabbing that opportunity…Bexico is hard at work on her project for the Aussie, and I am bloging away and about to head out to buy the papa for la cena.

Satellite update? 9am I am headed up the ladder to get the wiring all ready and after taking apart the dish (ugh), I should be able to get it up the ladder and through the narrow hatchway and onto the roof.

Roman might be able to come by mañana and bolt it down for me….and mi amigo Randy, from Senor Pucks, has offered to help me get the strongest signal. There is hope for NFL domingo!!

Clutch fan update? None…yup none…in all of Canada. Might be a 3-4 week back order. I emailed a Nissan in Victoria, thinking maybe mis padres can arrange to have it sent down…but still need to contact DHL to get their pricing. As they say here…mañana.

Senor Ricardo dropped by and gave us the damage deposit back for G10. Had a good chat and he gave us a set of keys for G10 as we have agreed to be his eyes on the complex. He will be away for most of enero y febrero and if they get a renter, we will get the place cleaned and be their renter’s contact. We enjoy being helpful so agreed right away to assist.

I also showed him our new mesa and he was impressed with the work. He might be giving our carpintero some work!!

Ok…off to buy some papas.

645pm...these steaks are HUGE. they are still cooking, the papas are ready, corn about to go in...and of course nuestros hijo is fussy. Looks like we will be doing the eat and swap thing. Oh well...all worth it...we love him!!

Stay tuned.

So eat and swap happened with me finishing la cena first and then taking fussy pants. He was almost asleep when I got him (great job madre) and then as we sat on the couch he went lights out.

Perfect time for a cat nap so we both hit the hay and he took a nap while laying on my chest. That lasted an hour or so and then it was diaper change and feed time.

He is almost ready for his bath and then we are hoping zzzzzz time.

The new diapers are bigger (duh), but just also seem different? Hello...Mexican diapers!! And they are scented...something we were not used to and not sure is the best thing for Max's skin. Things we need to get used to.

Mañana? 9am is satellite time and Randy said he was going to pop by and take a look. We'll see how far we get!! Stay tuned.

Only other thing pressing is the foto for Max. Easy peasy.

Have a great viernes.

Marco, Bex y Max
