825pm and Max has had his second bath of the day. Por que? Can you say exploding poo poo? Ja ja ja
And on his madre too? Oh Max!!
His sleep was not the best and he awoke with the g.a.s. so I took him out of the bed and tried to allow madre some more sleep.
It worked ok and I decided it was early enough for a walk and we headed out in the sling, at 845am. One hour and 15 minutes later, I realized I should not be slinging a 13 pound niño in the heat with out eating more then a plátano…and I better bring h2o!!
Anyway…a great walk and I introduced a sleeping Max to Elder (llanteria) and then off to el gimnasio to meet Galdino y Jane (?). From there it was off to plasticos where I did NOT find the door stop or the aluminum oven pan.
I DID find Max’s regalo de Navidad!! Stay tuned.
Came home and literally almost passed out. I had to take a nap, I was that pooped. It then became a stay around the condo type of day, as it was too hot for el gimnasio.
I watched Max and Bex hit the alberca…but barely went in as it was muy sucio….dirty. Rumor has it a pump is broken?
We swapped off and I went for a float…on…not in!!
I met Frank, who has moved here full time from Arizona. He is here with his hijo y esposa. I also met Ron y Jackie, a couple from Toronto. He chuckled that I knew about Oshawa and Lake Couchiching.
Nice older (then me) couple who are here for the winter after having spent the last 2 winters in Costa Rica.
We then grabbed Max and went for a stroll around La Crucecita. Peeps LOVE to see Max and touch his feet…hello feet series of fotos!!
There are many that have no idea about the Bjorn sling and are not only curious, but concerned Max’s breathing or family jewels are being cut off!!
We found one of the pediatricians that our doctor recommended, and Bexico confirmed he only speaks español, and set us up for a cita next week.
We have our list of questions that should be asked at a 2 month check up and have confirmed that MOST peeps here do NOT take their niños to a doctor unless the niño is not feeling well.
So we want the check up and Daniel told us the words for that in español…which I have forgotten. But not to worry, as Daniel will be joining us for the cita. We owe him a lot of thanks for all is help and want to make sure we show him our gratitude.
We need to get Max’s shots after 2 months, so we will head to the clinic the week of enero 2. Meanwhile our Doctor has said he can do Max’s blood test and that might save us some $$ and time. The pediatrician charges $400 pesos…maybe a reason many locals do not take their kids to him unless they are ill?
Continued our stroll and I caved in and bought some super fresh (still warm) buns and…a cinnamon bun. I must hit the gym tomorrow before we go to Mojon!!
Hola to the boys and some weird boxing interaction with Vicky y Max. He was sleeping and she was trying to wake him? Weird.
Then off to buy the verdura and home for our 530pm arrival of the mesa…which arrived at 615pm and may not be wet, but still has the smell of fresh varnish.
Why 530pm and not 1220pm? No sé, but the owners daughter called us earlier in the day, and with VERY good ingles, apologized and let us know the mesa would arrive at 530pm.
Here is what we paid $3800 pesos for.
Hand made, great quality and heavy wood…roble. And? 6% cheaper since we ordered it!! ja ja ja
Update on Roman…he did not arrive or call (hola..Mexico), but just emailed to say his helper hurt his back so he could not move the fridge. Maybe mañana…and then we will pay him the $$ for all the work. The fridge? It is the small one that came with the condo…he will store it for us and free us some much needed room.
We told R&H that we enjoyed the fact that they had a house here and took out all the items of G10 that we did not need/want for our year there. No such luck here…not hating!!
Good news…we made our NYE reservation at Il Rigoletti!! A tradition for us!! And then we will go to Mojon and set off fireworks!!
Satellite dish update. I chatted with Randy from pucks, as they have multiple dishes and/or receivers. He said he can probably install the dish and get it pointed in the right direction. Score!!
I went up on the roof and there is a Shaw dish already up there…duh…we just point ours in the same direction? Ja ja ja
Huatulco!! Stay tuned.
Took a few minutes out of the day to write up some carta de Navidad for the gang that works on the grounds. Slip in some extra pesos as a thank you.
Talk about regalo de Navidad, we officially met our neighbor, Blanca, and she gave us some home grown plant (looks like grass) as a Christmas gift. Nice lady…still a ton of weird shit happening next door!! Ja ja ja
Ok…some fotos.
Bubba (despues de nap…nice hair) feeding his hijo.
Super Chillin Max after getting a diaper service and then in his crib…with a great mobile from RJ!!
Our miercoles? El gimnasio y Mojon!! Maybe a pelicula….but I bet we will be pooped.
saludos
Marco, Bex y Max
