TGIV…thank goodness it’s Viernes!!

Cleaned the condo first thing this morning…hormiga patrol!! Looks like 2 weeks until Navidad…all your shopping completed?

End of an era for Bexico…the Felicity episodes that are on tv at 10am…she has on dvd…no new episodes for her. L

We have recently had two of our neighbors ask if they could buy some internet time from us. We have politely said no friggin way (lol) for two reasons.

One, the service is limited as it is and with Bexico and her big animation files etc, we cannot have even more people tapping into the limited service. Two, once we give out our access code, we are not sure how we can change it. So sorry folks…but it show how important internet will be once the villas are up and running.

Bexico says I should give them internet access IF they can even tell us what our names are!! Lol

Hit the gym and saw this on the way.

A crowd is gathered.

Transit cops (they slag them by calling them Tamarinds) directing traffic.

A nino on the road…looks like a taxi hit them. Yikes

On to nicer topics...I had a good session at the gym…not too much energy though. Hmmmm. Escolar? I wrote two sentences in Ingles and Rosa translated them and then I practiced the Espanol and she the Ingles.

Ayer en la playa, yo pise un erizo. Mi pie esta adolorido. Yesterday at the beach, I stepped on a thorn. My foot is sore.

Alla se accidento un carro en la avenida. Mucha gente mirando. There is a car accident up the street. Many people are watching.

Walked back through La Crucecita and said hi to the boys. On the way home, I took these two photos.

Either he has a REALLY big family, or he is making a delivery of another type?

This young lady looked like she was checking her voicemail, or making an appointment.

Popped in and grabbed some roja sandia and then when I got home, we hit the alberca!!

After pool time, we did a walk around town, looking at Navidad decorations and such, as well as pick up veggies.

Here are some photos from this walk.

Here is a cute girl in traditional Mexican ropa.

Please click on the photo and look at who it is.

This is a sign for the piñata store, and the inside of the store, where they actually hand make the pinatas.

This is a pollo roti store a few blocks from home, and the actual pollo. Only $60 pesos for an entero…entire.

We have not eaten from here yet, but it looks great and we will try it soon!!

All about the rebar. Not one person wearing a hardhat on this construccion site, some guys in flip flops…as is the patron (guy in blue shirt in the middle of photo).

“How you doin?”

He was dressed up for a mariachi band. Lalo says you NEVER pay the band until after they play because if you pay first, the quality of music isn’t as good as if they are working for the $$.

Bexico with her ever present Spanish dictionary.

How do I say American Eagle in Espanol?

This next cutie didn’t smile for any of the photos. Her Madre did when I showed it to her.

Not sure what this lady is doing.

But I am pretty sure it has something to do with the Virgin of Guadalupe festival that has been going on. There is another related big event manana at 9pm and then the BIG day is Domingo and it starts at 5am…might not have photos of that event.

These next few photos are from the zocalo…Parque Central.

Every night in the square, this cowboy sells these colorful bags and such.

Here is Bexico patiently waiting while her novio takes his photos. I really like the colors in this photo.

Mexicans are always looking to make a peso…and look who has a sweet tooth!! Platanos frito…fried bananas…one of Bexico’s favoritos!!

This mobile cart was set up 2 feet from the entrance to the church. It was not there before but I am sure it is there for the Guadalupe and Navidad crowds that will be flocking (get it?) there soon.

Here are two photos that include the bandstand. One is focused on the colorful string of handmade doilies and the other shows everything clearly.

This was taken from behind the church. Not sure what they have planned…but if you look carefully, you will see that they have back-ups!!

So few people have internet here that this place will not go out of business.

We are told they have movies in Ingles. Hello Karate Kid!! (or AJ in Salt?)

And across the street…phone chargers in case we ever need one.

How would you like to walk around Robson or Queen Street carrying one of these and trying to sell it?

And last but not least, the arbol de Navidad in the parque.

Chatted up the boys as we passed them on the way home, and then once we got home, we had la cena…pollo thighs y arroz and here we are…915pm in Huatulco.

Misc

Jay was nice enough to give us his spare body board. We are going to take it and the surfboard down to La Bocana manana and to Mojon on Domingo.

Met a hombre we would call “ruder”. We were at the pool and all this guy did was complain about the condos, how crowded the pool will be at Navidad etc etc. Not sure why he is so bitter…but if he is reading this, no need to share your bitterness with people that are happy!!

Buenos noches to all you out there!! I know it is the countdown to Navidad, so I hope all my restaurant friends are not working too hard and I hope everyone’s stress levels remain low at this crazy time of year!!

Hasta luego.
